Chase Bank

The friendliest Chase in the City, the staff are great, but if you give them attitude, they give it back.
It’s a real community bank branch, sadly Chase the bank is not about the community.
I have nothing to do with the west village anymore, but go out of my way to come back to this branch…

I’ve been going to this branch for 12 years and am about to move all my accounts to a community bank (First National Bank of Long Island) because every time I walk in to make a simple transaction at Chase, someone tries to pick me off the line. Under the guise of being helpful and speeding up my deposit, they try and sell me a new credit card or other financial product, and it ends up taking much longer than just waiting in line. Also there are tons of hidden fees in my checking account and I’m tired of it. I suggest people put their money in community banks as I am from now on.

What an awful branch. Perpetually crowded, not enough tellers, and just general ignorance of the customers. Come on.

Toooo bad I have to atleast give them one star. I wish there was an entry for negative stars– kinda like what they did to my credit rating (which was in the 700’s) when I transferred all my credit over to them to centralize my banking and then never received my bills or bank statements and can’t even get a personal loan to get away from them and their 34% APR penalties. I have sat for a total of 4 hours face to face with these yahoos and unfortunately even broke down in tears at one point to the chagrin of GERARD the banking asshole slouch.
The tellers are always too busy deciding which Domino’s pizza they want for lunch to take your money and I’ve been witness to more than 1 infraction with CUSTOMERS (!) arguing that the services they are asking for cannot be handled on that day at this branch… WTF??? So don’t go there on Tuesdays to get change for sure or else bring your best game for talking a crazy lazy employee into doing their job!
They are all a bunch of doughheads.
