Raquel went above and beyond to take excellent care of our Bernie. We loved getting photos of him enjoying himself while we were away. It put our minds at ease so we could relax on vacation! Best of all, Bernie acted perfectly normal when we came home; it was like we never left. Your kitty will be in excellent hands!

Raquel & Alistair are quintessential professionals and more! When we were stranded in January due to a blizzard, Alistair spent extra time with our cat, Buddy as he was starting to get depressed over our extended absence. The photos and detailed reports 2x each day really help to ease our worries and reassure us that our cat is in great hands! We are very grateful for Cat Servants!

Raquel’s service is superb. I used her for two years and she was extremely reliable and was always available, even for last minute requests. She plays with the cat, cleans up after the cat and sends photos of the cat. I highly recommend her!

Echoing everyone else here, Raquel is awesome! Pictures daily of my cat playing and relaxing was very reassuring while I was away on business. When I had a cancelled flight that had to be rebooked for the following day, she came over free of charge to make sure there was enough food and water available. Highly recommend for anyone in the Washington Heights area!

Truthfully, I haven’t even met Raquel yet, but felt I should offer a preliminary review just to let other potential clients know how impressed I am with her so far. I had written to Raquel to ask about holiday services, and then– before I had even obtained her services– sent another email asking her for vet recs in the neighborhood (we live in the same area, so I thought she might have some pointers). Not only did she write back quickly, but she sent me a long email with detailed info about a whole series of veterinary options in the area– an email which must have taken some time to compose. Her response just showed how much she really cares about cats– that she’s willing to take the time to help out a pet/​pet owner who isn’t even a client (yet). That sort of altruistic behavior a rarity these days, where everyone seems to be becoming increasingly rushed and self-​centered. In any event, I will update this review after I have actually had Cat Servants care for my cat, but I think her responses to my emails/​requests for help concerning vet care in the area speaks volumes about her attention to detail and responsiveness– both of which are qualities that you definitely look for in a good pet care provider.

Raquel is the real cat whisperer! With seniors she is especially wonderful in encouraging them to eat and play. I have known her for many years and would never be able to travel without her care and attention to my late cat Lilly. She also immediately established a rapport with new kitten Perry and and his new baby brother Monty. She provides a level of care that is impossible To describe! The happiest cats in the world will greet you when you come home. Though I think they would be happier if Raquel came every day!

I have to start out by saying that I have never written a Unilocal review but created an account JUST so I can write an outstanding review about Raquel and Cat Servants.
This is my second time using Cat Servants and I could not be more pleased with the high level of care. The first time was in Sept 2014 when I went away on a business trip. I called Raquel and her and the women who would come check on my cat once a day came to my UES apartment and introduced themselves to me and my cat. I felt more then comfortable knowing that they would come daily to check on him, feed and play with him. I received daily updates via email and text with photos of my happy kitty.
Most recently I left for a 10 day trip to Europe and this time opted to leave my cat with Raquel at her home while I was away. I could not be more pleased with the level of care and service she provided. She went above and beyond to make sure my cat was comfortable and happy the entire time I was away by preparing a special place for him in her home, buying him extra toys, and providing ample playtime to make sure he was kept happy. I received emails with TONS of happy kitty photos that assured me he was doing well and enjoying his vacation too! I also must say as a first time cat owner myself, Raquel is SO knowledgeable about the appropriate care and health of cats and has taught me many things I did not know and am grateful to have learned.
I give Raquel my HIGHEST recommendation to anyone who is looking for the best cat sitter in NYC. Honestly, you will never find anyone better then her. She really cares and treats your cat as if it was her very own. I hope to travel more in the future and wouldn’t think to ever use any other service then Cat Servants. I would also like to add that her price is MORE than fair and she understands the struggles of a 20 something single cat mom living in NYC who loves to travel.

Raquel has provided the highest level of care for our cats, Tocho and Nina. She takes customer service to another level because she really cares. Each visit, she emails a little note to share how your kitties are doing and attaches pictures to offer you peace of mind while you are away from your loved ones… not to mention she’s quite a good photographer… i have saved many of them. Cat Servants is one of the best companies I have ever worked with. I came across the Cat Servants website when I was looking for last minute pet sitting for my two cats at my apartment in Hell’s Kitchen, and emailed to inquire about rates. I received a reply right away. I was blown away by the prices– not only was the per day rate significantly lower than competitors, but I was even offered 15% off my first booking.
Racquel came out to my apartment to meet my cats before I left on my trip. She was flexible and came at a time that worked with my busy work schedule. The whole experience was extremely professional– she brought copies of all paperwork proving that the company was bonded and insured and provided a list of references. She asked many questions to learn exactly how I cared for my cats so that their routine would not be too disrupted while I was away.
During my 10 day trip, I received detailed emails every day telling me what the cats were up to including several pictures of the cats. She changed and washed the litter box, made sure their food and water bowls were cleaned and full, and overall just pampered my cats. Racquel even offered to go buy more food for my cats when my supply was running low. I felt completely reassured and guilt-​free during my trip because I knew my cats were being so well taken care of! This peace of mind is truly priceless– I am blown away that I was able to get such unbelievable service at such a low price.
Best of all, when I came home from my trip, my cats acted as if I had never ever left. Usually when I am gone for even short amounts of time it will really throw off their behavior for awhile, but they were so well taken care of it’s like they never even knew I was gone! When I met with Racquel to get back my keys and make the payment she even brought complimentary bags of treats for my cats!
I could not have had a better experience with Cat Servants. Racquel clearly is an expert on cat care, and this is the only company I would consider using in the future.
