Even though they didn’t have what I needed — a remnant piece of vinyl flooring (in a «dark color») — they were very helpful on the phone, and said to check back often (as inventory is always changing).

Great selection, easy to work with and fast delivery. I got a really nice wool area rug for hundreds less than other places… This was my second purchase from here, and they continue to be great to do business with.

Excellent choice of carpet. Found what I wanted at a fair price (I had seen comparable carpet with installation that would have cost twice the price) but needed to get delivery quickly. They called immediately to find out if carpet would be available, it was, so they put a hold on it. Came to my apartment within half an hour, as promised, took their measurements and carpet was delivered on time. From the sales staff to the installation staff, very satisfied!

Based on the previous review, I hiked up there to see if I could pick up a rug. The selection was pretty good. If fact, I found a couple of options at a decent price. So on value and selection, I will give them two stars. However, customer service and professionalism did not exist. I don’t know if the owner was present but the man who seemed to be in charge thought it a good idea to get into a loud discussion with one of the workers about pay. Right out in the open. Apparently, the poor guy doing all the heavy lifting in the place was expecting to get paid today but it wasn’t going to happen for him. Not only that, the guy in charge then belittled the worker by asking him if he couldn’t live another day without his pay! That is just not cool! I really should have left at that point. But, I didn’t— I just wanted to get this purchase completed. So, I selected a rug and asked the guy in charge to open the rug so that I can inspect before purchasing. The rug is a 9×12, sold as is and they would only deliver it to the sidewalk of my building so I thought I should check it out first. But he refused to open the rug. He said that he had already inspected the rug and was not going to unroll it again. And, that is all he said. We exchanged exactly that many words and then our goodbyes. If you want an inexpensive remnant, you can go there but be prepared for a scene between management and staff that will leave you feeling badly and be prepared to not view the goods you are purchasing.

I can’t say I find the prices to be at «outlet» level, but the owner/​manager is a friendly guy who’s happy to help. They also will cut, bind carpeting to make large area rugs to apartment renters and those who don’t wish to have permanent wall-​to-​wall carpeting or flooring installed.
Stock changes frequently and at least twice per week, according to the owner, so what you see one day is subject to change if you’re not crazy about the day’s selection. They also have hundreds of samples of special-​order carpeting. From the ultra high-​end to the less expensive, high-​traffic floor coverings, they seem to have a little, or a lot for every budget level and taste. I’m also glad to have found a local carpet and flooring shop right here on the UES.
