HUGE SCAM! I bought a Living Social voucher for steam cleaning. When the technician showed up, he claimed he couldn’t steam clean a wool rug and I’d have to pay an extra $ 200 for him to shampoo it. He also told me that they were «protected» by the fine print. Obviously I wasn’t the first person to complain.

SCAMMERS! If you are looking for a deal then this is not the company for you. After purchasing vouchers for an organic steam cleaning for my sofa and love seat and for a carpet cleaning they rescheduled my appointment three times. One day I spent waiting the whole day and when they didn’t come customer service was rude and only offered me an alternate date. I got an appointment after a month and they arrived several hours late and when the technician finally showed up at 4:30 pm for an 11am appointment he began trying to get me to pay extra for the size of my sofa and for detergent for the cleaning machine. The technician advised me that water would not be able to get the dirt out of the carpet. I opted for a refund from living social.
I agree with another reviewer who said that they don’t even deserve the one star given. They deserve ZERO stars but you cannot post a review without conceding a one star minimum.

David is very reliable and thorough. The sofa did end up costing more than the group on, but it was well worth it. They do excellent work and actually showed up earlier than their scheduled appointment. I was very satisfied.

SCAM SCAM SCAM
I too bought Amazon Local coupons for this place. One was a carpet cleaning coupon worth $ 99 and the other was a sofa cleaning coupon worth $ 89.
When the guy showed up, he was very nice and pleasant. He told me how he needed to do a special cleaning shampoo thing on my couch and rug and that after subtracting my $ 200 in coupons (he rounded up for me, how kind), that I would have to pay an additional $ 466!!!
That’s right — $ 466 ADDITIONAL to the $ 200 in coupons.
I politely told him that was too much and sorry for the inconvenience but I was not going to proceed. He subsequently lowered it 25% right there. Still, that was more than $ 350 in addition to the $ 200 in coupons.
This place is a SCAM. DO NOT USE.

Bought an Amazon deal for 100SF of carpet cleaning. AScheduled for today between 11 – 1. Guy called at noon to say he would be here in 30 – 40 minutes. Come 2:30, still no word. Left voicemail at the numer he called me from and they called to say someone would be here at 4. It’s 5 now and still now ord and no callback.
SCAM SCAM SCAM.
Go elsewhere.

I bought a coupon from Living Social that advertised a sofa clean up for $ 49. This company gave me an appointment for a clean up 5 weeks after (Living Social’s money return policy is 7 days) and when they showed up, they said this cupon did not apply for the kind of clean up my couch required. They said that for an additional $ 200 they would be able to take care of the job.

I, too, bought a deal off amazon. Made my appointment with a very unenthusiastic person via telephone. My appt day came and NO ONE SHOWED UP. I received no cancelation call or notification, so I spent my time WAITING for a professional to actually arrive and honor the appointment made. Naturally, no one has been answering the phone since. Disgusting. I should’ve read the reviews before wasting my time & money.

This place should be out of business. They’re scam artist and the customer service if you want to call it that is horrible and nonexistent. I purchased an Amazon deal to steam clean 100sq ft of carpet or rug. On the day of my appointment no one contacted me or showed up at my home. I kept calling the main number, which no one answered. This business is so bad I wish I could give it no stars… do yourself a favor –go anywhere but here!

I agree with the reviews that indicate this place is a scam.
We tried the Amazon Local Deal and their guy came up today. The first thing he said was that steam cleaning wasn’t going to get the stains out and we could pay for deep cleaning instead.
I replied that I wanted the steam cleaning that we purchased a voucher for. He then changed his story and indicated that our carpet couldn’t be steam cleaned and we would have to pay for something additional. (Exactly the language that other reviewers reported)
We have a 10 year old carpet in a business installation. It’s cheap, sturdy institutional grade. No one is putting this in their home. OF COURSE it can be steam cleaned. It’s been steam cleaned before by an aboveboard cleaner.
If they can’t stick you for additional fees and services; they aren’t going to honor the Amazon Local deal or I’m guessing Groupon or any of the other social deal sites.
It’s a shame b/​c the guy on the phone initially was pleasant and helpful.

This place is a SCAM! I bought a deal on Living Social to get what I thought would be a simple couch cleaning. Instead what I got was some guy to arrive at my apt carrying a small book bag (with no couch cleaning equipment) and tell me right away that the couch can’t get steam cleaned because the fabric was made out of cotton. He told me I would have to pay significantly more for a different cleaning and what made it worse was that he was very rude about it. What a joke.

I ordered a voucher for the $ 89 steam clean, just as other reviewers did, and I must say, the service was pretty darn good! I had my sister come over the weekend with her dogs, and by the end of her stay, I had dog urine all over my sofas.
When the technician arrived at my house, he thoroughly analyzed my sofa. He also recommended other treatments that would help get the urine stains and HORRIBLE smell out of my sofas, and I must say, they worked WONDERS!!!
All in all, I would definitely recommend this company for any urine or odor treatment for sofas and furniture! :)

I had the same problem as other reviewers. I bought a voucher for a steam clean of my sofa, and the guy came over FOUR HOURS LATE and told me… without any testing at all… that my sofa could not be steam cleaned and it would be $ 150 extra for a deep clean.
Well, guess what. I’ve had this exact sofa steam cleaned before. I sent him away and I’m going to try to get a refund on my Living Social voucher because they basically offer the voucher to get in the door and sell you more expensive services.
I recommend going elsewhere for your cleaning needs.

I purchased the amazon deal for a steam cleaning of a small couch. The deal said that they would test a small area first — instead the sales person just showed up with a clipboard and calculator and took a quick look at the couch and immediately went into how they could not steam clean it and instead I needed to pay another $ 180 for a shampoo cleaning. Complete bait and switch — they had no intention of steam cleaning — only to upsell a more expensive service. The couch has been steam cleaned before and even recommends it in the documents that came with it. I would never try this company again.

I found a deal for this place, $ 25 for a $ 89 sofa steam clean, just what I needed. The voucher outlined that additional charges may apply based on the type of couch, so I called them up to ask for an estimate. I explained that I had a large 4-​piece, microfiber sectional couch and asked how much more it would be. The guy explained to me that they would have to see it to give the cost. I expected it to be like $ 50 – 90 more because my couch is so big…
Well the guy came around the time they told me he would, nice as can be. Told me that I couldn’t steam clean the micro-​fiber and would have to shampoo it and it would be $ 250, minus the cost of my voucher. Well if they told me that on the phone, I would have never bought the voucher for a steam clean in the 1st place.
I must say they did a pretty good job on my couch, it looks a lot cleaner, but I feel a little robbed.

When we moved into our apartment the carpets had never been cleaned. The carpet were SO dirty! After the BEST CARPET CLEANING we have ever received… the carpets smelled so fresh and clean. Carpet Express had great customer service and did an amazing job! I highly recommend them.
