Cameron Rokhsar

Was referred by a noted plastic surgeon to Dr. Rokhsar a few years ago. I am fair and blue eyed. I grew up at the beach. Dr. R. was the first demo to really take a hard and careful look at my entire body. He found some skin cancers the previous demo (Dr. Avery Scheiner) had not found. Since then, my entire family goes to Dr. R and I highly recommend him to anyone who is concerned about skin cancer. He has done multiple MOHS surgeries on me and my husband and you can’t see any scaring!

Can I give a negative star? Please be wise in your choice of Drs. It’s a matter of your face !! Long story short — I had a filler injected and it totally went wrong. Had to follow up for months and inject steroid .My face was a red swollen mess. I was scared to death il have to be operated upon. I had to be on antibiotics for fear of infection. Please do yourself a Favor and avoid this guy. I still keep getting emails regarding «discounts» but I rather go to Mars than go to this guy.

Dr Rokhsar has treated me for aesthetics. His way of handling the needle is skilled and restrained. I’ve always left looking and feeling my best. The result has been natural and long lasting. My family sees him for general Derm and he is equally talented. His staff has been courteous and made me feel comfortable. I’ll recommend Dr Rokhsar to anyone, whether they have acne, psoriasis, are looking for an aesthetic boost, or MOHs surgery.

I would never recommend this doctor to anyone, ever. I should’ve looked at his reviews prior to booking an appointment. On his website, it says no allergic testing is needed for Radiesse, but I had an allergic reaction to it and I am still suffering from it. And on the informed consent it says that «Radiesse is contraindicated in people with hypersensitivity of any of his components». This is quite contradicting since his website misinforms people that no allergic testing is required. I had a delayed reaction to Radiesse. Do yourself a favor and read about an informed consent for Radiesse injection from Oasis Plastic Surgery. This is a very thorough informed consent about the product. And read a research article Fillers: Contraindications, Side Effects and Precautions from the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery.

Everyone else here… seems to be. on the same page as me. He’s rude arrogant and worst experience. I can go on and on. When you sit in his office and have a second sense of your gut feeling go by that. Now I am wondering if my procedure was done correctly since my treated area might have to go to pathology again… Unilocal never posts only bad reviews. Good reviews are given a chance. When you read this page and say how can it be. these are disgruntled employees blah, blah blah, Take it from me readers. I was a patient. After consulting with various Mds he was in the wrong, was not within normal threshold of professional protocol.5 reviews and no where near good… think about it. Put it another way if I allowed him to use a location he wanted out come could have been worse. When you walk in look how miserable the staff is. He uses positions social media in his favor so he would get good ratings on other similar sites. The worst medical Dr I met in my lifetime hands down

I went to see Dr. Rokhsar 2 weeks ago to have Botox done before my 30^th birthday party. He came recommended by a friend. He did the new Botox on me (Zyomin) on my furrow, upper forehead, crows feet, and under my nose because I asked for it. He recommended for me to do it natural and leave some movement so it would not be totally frozen. He was fast and efficient, and I absolutely loved the results. It worked faster than the Botox and dysport that I had done in the past (as he told me it would). The results were better than I expected and I had people actually comment on how nice I looked (which makes me wonder if I was ugly beforehand). Lol. I am surprised to see the bad reviews on Unilocal because me and my girlfriend had such a wonderful experience with him. I will definitely go back to him next time.

First of all, let’s talk about results. I went to Dr. Rokhsar to get filler injected into my lower eyelids (I have naturally deep under eye hollows), and after the swelling had gone down, I looked in the mirror to see that his work was COMPLETELY UNEVEN. My right eye was the better of the two, he had injected the filler in what seemed to be the right places, but my left eye was completely lopsided, and it made me look like I had a saggy ball of fat under my eye. NOT GOOD. I paid $ 1,000 for this screwup? Dr. Rokhsar had also failed to mention to me that because the filler would be so close to the skin’s surface, it would turn my under eye an ugly shade of purple-​red.
Second, let’s talk about attitude. Not only did the procedure not go well, but Dr. Rokhsar and his clinic made me feel that they could not care less about my well being. The staff was cold, and Dr. Rokhsar barely took the time to walk me through the details of my procedure. I had to prod him for the information you would think a doctor would automatically offer you in a consultation (normal side effects, cost, etc), and every time I asked him a question he responded in such a condescending manner. He clearly doesn’t care about his patients, and neither do any of his staff.
Last caveat … You pay for everything UP FRONT, there is no billing. Hell, I had to email his receptionist several times just to get an invoice explaining the breakdown of my charges.
All in all … WTF.

DO NOT USE THIS DR! He is very aggressive with his treatments and is more focused on becoming Dr 90 210 rather than addressing patient’s concern.
Was seeing Dr. R for 5 months for treatment– spent another year and a half trying to correct the damage he caused. Worst experience of my life.

I am so disgusted with how this office treated me that I just had to write and share. No longer is the patient treated with care and concern, but rather like an absolute piece of crap. I was told by Katie (receptionist filling in for the day, otherwise OFFICE MANAGER!) to come to the office and they would fit me in. Since I had called four times in the last 4 days and each time someone dropped the ball and I still had not heard back from anyone, I didn’t consider this much of a favor. Katie was actually the last to PROMISE me the doctor would get back to me that morning and again– morning came and went and no call. Long story short, I get to office to no «greeting,» but rather, «you have a balance and you must pay for this visit before the doctor see you.»
Ummmm, call me crazy, but wouldn’t: «Good Afternoon! BTW~ I really apologize for dropping the ball numerous times and appreciate your calling and trying to remain a patient of ours. It won’t happen again.» have been the thing to say?!!
So the «balance,» was for something that was never done, (cortisone shot) mind you, and the doctor told me to wait and come back! Yet, I still got charged? So~ I had a question about that and of course, would want to clarify BEFORE paying for that and another visit where he may, again, tell me to come back! Isn’t it just rude to insist on a payment when the patient simply has some concerns? Kate insisted and proceeded to get on the phone with the doctor,(whom was supposedly so busy in another appt) and tell him out loud for all of the waiting area to hear…” XXX does not want to pay! SHe does not want to pay her balance and she does not want to pay for this time…“
I stood there in shock! Shock that she called and did this in front of everyone and in SHOCK that she then interrupted the doctor to create this drama. I SHOULD have been given a print out and an explanation– I received neither. She did look at a screen I could not see and turn to tell me the tab of about $ 250.oo aI had to pay before anything else. I just got there! I then SHOULD have been offered to speak with the nurse or doctor to clear up any confusion after learning I had questions. I simply got– rolled eyes and a swivel of the chair back to her computer screen and a, «Well, if you want to see the doctor, you have to pay.» I then SHOULD have been assured I would see the doctor shortly and maybe offered an apology for any confusion. What I got– well, you will see…
Because, After all, isn’t this my doctor– are not I CHOOSING him and should not HE make ME feel good about that?!!
It gets better…
I stand there in shock and listen to this woman wind herself up and I tell her she is WRONG– I didn’t refuse to pay what I did do was say I needed to understand what I thought was an incorrect bill and I wanted to speak with the doctor, regardless. When you are paying out of pocket, it is necessary to stay on top of these bills and I believe they are used to getting some past their patients! SO, I checked with my insurance and they in fact billed them for a cortisone shot that was never given that last visit– yes, i was right!
I explain then that,(money ASIDE,) she told me to hurry up and get here and she would get me in & now, had been there an hour at that point. She then tells me there are 2 others still in front of me and he won’t be able to get to me today!!! UNREAL!!! I made it more than clear that I had a flight to catch, hence the fifth attempt at reaching him before I left and she assured me she would get me in and to head up right away…
At that point, I go over it all so she and I are on the SAME page~ her telling me to come here (which I hauled it from LES), wasting my time, insisting on a payment for a something that was NEVER going to even get done anyway! There were so many WRONG things to all this it was nuts! I still stood there is disbelief that this woman actually retains a job, never mind, acts as ‚“office manager,” every other day! I remind her she had no respect for my time, no regard for my questions or concerns, was only interested in my money and how crazy it all was and now! she tell me I cannot even see the doctor?!! more~ she has treated me like crap the whole time. She then goes and knocks on the door of the room Dr Rokhsar is in with a patient and goes in to say who knows what/​TATTLES! I can’t make this up! To WHICH~ Dr. Rokhsar immediately comes out and in front of everyone, yells at me for causing havoc in his office! The entire thing had me floored.
I then look over to the receptionist of another doctor in the same space, whom used to work for Dr. Rokhsar and she just shook her head and looked at me with the same disbelief I was feeling. She was just one of the various other people in the vicinity and waiting area that heard this entire thing– a HUGE HIPPA no-​no. Never mind wrong! but quite humiliting and SO unnecessary. No one should ever go thru this and it is not taken lightly.
