Great spot for a basic burger. I love the no-​frills local spots. Fries are perfect and the atmosphere is gritty. You’ll always find a line to this spot behind the curtain. Highly recommended.

Came on a Tuesday evening and it was fairly busy but not ridiculously so. Didn’t encounter the famed line, thankfully.
Patties are cooked well and are thick, which I always appreciate as opposed to measly thin ones that just disappointed you bite into them. Besides that though, I didn’t find it particularly special. I’m afraid I don’t see what the hype about the burger is.
It’s not exactly cheap (burger with the works sets you back 10 bucks) nor did it rock my world. People say it’s greasy and cheesy, but so is In N Out. For the rave reviews, I expected more. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still tasty and deserves a solid 3.5stars! Just don’t see what the big deal is.
Atmosphere is nice, laid back and just very easy going. It has some buzz so it’s not boring, but it doesn’t pretend to be fancy schmancy either, given its in a hotel.

This is a great burger. The vibe is cool and seeing all he famous people that have been here just reaffirm the fact you are at a great place. The burger was greasy and messy, which makes the experience even better. We got fries and a beer, so its a great place to go before you really want to go out in the city.
Come ready to order because the line is long and they don’t want you holding it up. There is a menu at the counter. Read it and be ready to order when you get to the front.

Pretty pricey for a burger. Cool spot to take out of towners because it’s hidden. The entrance is in the meridian but in the back of the lobby.

Not going to lie — I love Anthony Bourdain. And when I saw that he recommended this place back on his show, The Layover, I knew I had to stop by and try it out for myself. Going in, I had a lot of high hopes.
First, you have to get there. The Burger Joint is hidden in Le Parker Meridien and most people wouldn’t think this type of place even existed there. Second, wait in line for at least 20 minutes to order. Once you get to the front, you better know what you want. There are only a couple of ways to order your burger: either a hamburger or cheeseburger, single or double. My boyfriend and I decided to order the cheeseburger and a side of french fries. The order came out pretty quickly.
Overall, the burger was really good, but not great. I’m sorry to say but I’ve had better burgers at Five Guys. There, I said it. Here’s the thing: the patty was not seasoned. Also, the burger was pretty messy. The bun hardly held up the burger and the fries were meh.
I honestly think the burger may have been way better back in 2011 before the episode aired. Sure you can try it or yourself, but I wouldn’t expect it to be the best burger in NYC.

Very disappointing burger for a rather high price. The burger was pasty and underseasoned. The fries were dry and quickly cooled off. Overall not worth the hype.
Whom would I recommend it to? People staying at the hotel and too tired to go out.
Would I come back? No.

This is a classic burger joint only meant for true burger fans as the menu is limited to burgers and one vegetarian option, grilled cheese. The place was packed so it may not be the ideal choice to lunch with a group of friends. But New Yorkers who are looking for a great burger in the city, definitely check this place else. Vegetarians, run away.

You walk into a fancy hotel and think… where is the burger joint? Am I at the wrong place?
But you’re not! Uniquely hidden behind the curtain in the lobby of a nice hotel, you will find the burger joint (aka this place).
I really like coming here for the grungy, cool atmosphere. It really does feel like you’re in some kind of secret-​burger-​club or something. Even though there is a pretty decent amount of seating, it can be hard to find a place to sit during prime-​eating-​hours.
I always get the cheeseburger with «the works» and I’m never disappointed! I must say the quality of the meat is what really sets this place apart from other places… the meat patty is thick, juicy, and high-​quality that you can see and taste.
They are pretty expensive for burgers, but I wouldn’t let that steer you away from trying this place. Come here, try the deliciousness, and determine whether it’s worth coming back for yourself. It sure is worth it to me!

Perfection in its simplest form. Got a cheeseburger medium rare with the works and fries and it was ready in 5 minutes, was cooked to a true medium rare, and was out of this world. Fries were fantastic.
It was crazy busy, but I think it just added to the experience. I’ll be back.

Yes, there’s always a line. Yes, it’s overrun with tourists. Yes, it’s mostly a novelty at this point. But fuck it, I dig it. Burger Joint is a dive of a burger joint in the middle of the Le Parker Meridien hotel in Midtown. It’s behind a curtain, through a door identified with a neon light burger sign. It is striking to walk in from a fancy hotel but after going once or twice you get used to it. The line is irritating and is less worth it as this place has garnered more fame and more burger options have appeared. Seating is a challenge – especially with tourists who have no courtesy or class – so be aggressive but not a douche.
The burger here isn’t anything fancy but it is very enjoyable. They cook it to the desirable doneness, it has a good char, and the meat quality is very good. Nothing really stands out in particular for it; however, there is a balance here between the bun, patty, and pretty average toppings that even some of the most hyped burger places have a hard time reaching. That’s its strength: making a basic burger but just doing a really really good job. Fries are good and a generous portion. I only had a shake once and it was very good too; don’t remember a lot of details about it otherwise.
Go at an off time with low expectations and you will do well.

This is a fun and funky place in the somewhat «ridden hard and put away wet» Meridian. A buddy and his wife stayed here for three months on a relo package and this was their go-​to spot. The place looks like a pop up from the outside but it is a real structure on the inside with a funky Texas BBQ décor. Not a huge selection and you order by starting with the works and subtracting what you don’t want. They did not have Jalapeños though, which was a real bummer. Sigh. Oh and you gotta put your fone away. They have a real intolerance for peeps who bees situationally unaware, which I wish more places had. Oh, and know what you want when you get to the person at the counter. If you hem and haw, they will send you to the back of the line, which can be long but moves fast.
I had the cheeseburger wit everything and it was excellent. Cooked right in front of ya, and an honest to goodness real bun. Prolly the best burger I have eaten in midtown and the grill master knew the difference between medium and medium-​rare. Juicy and nicely charred like an expert backyard griller does at a Super Bowl party. The only place that I have been to that could possibly give them a run for their money is Jackson Hole, which I have loved for years. Outstanding fries were presented as well and a serious helping for sure. The only thing that takes away a star was the brownie, which was dry and kinda burnt. I expect they sourced it from someone else but I am not sure. The staff was very funny, and although they were busy, they had time for a joke and a smile. Go early or late and you can beat the lines.

From Texas, there is plenty of places with good burgers. I asked the local folks what to get and unanimously it was the cheeseburger cooked medium with everything.
Well it was OK… Cant say it was anything extraordinary. Usually a line (#hype)
Tip, if a line and you can’t wait, order by calling a take out.

Reasons to sink your teeth into a Burger Joint burger:
1. Someone offers to wait in line and purchase said burger for you while you go about your day.
Definitely keep that person around if the situation presents itself. That’s a good friend. But, let’s say you did decide to wait in line or you happen to go on a day where the line is minimal, (look at you go, you should play the lotto you lucky dog!) you’re getting your typical American burger, not super-​sized, with all the fixings. The burger meat itself is good but lacks the flavor and juiciness that other burger places offer up however all that mustard and ketchup makes up for it. Stay tuned for my burger rankings below! Anyway, I think the novelty really sells it for everyone. We all LOVE those secret, hidden NY spots but don’t be fooled by the location that Burger Joint’s got, it’s still your run of the mill burger trying to upsell itself. (sang to the tune of jenny from the block).

Came here for lunch with coworkers. They don’t have a true veggie burger, but they’ll make you basically a burger without the patty. Most of my coworkers thought this was a joke, but to me (being the Californian that I am) it sounded enough like the Grilled Cheese at In-​N-​Out to warrant giving it a try. Have to say, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. It was okay, but really overpriced for what it was. Not a huge fan of the fries either as I felt they could be crispier. Meat eaters of the group seemed to like their burgers, though! Just not an ideal lunch spot for vegetarians.

So… according to Anthony Bourdain, this is one of the spots in NYC to get a burger. This place is right by the lobby of the Le Parker Meridien hotel.
Almost always a line to get in this place. The place has limited seating so be prepared to wait if you plan on dining in.
As far as the food… it was good but wasn’t extraordinary. It fell a little short of my expectations.

Burger Joint has gone downhill from my previous visits.
Portions were small. Prices were high. Burger was not satisfying. I’d have been better at Five Guys.
I still love the atmosphere and the novelty of the location, but the burger meat was tiny and unfulfilling.
The service can be NYC friendly — which is pretty gruff and dare I say rude to the rest of the world, but their sense of urgency is great. Know what you’re going to order (despite the world’s least legible hand written menu), be ready with cash, and you better damn be ready when they call your name.

If you want to try the Burger Joint, it has to be the location at the Parker Meridien hotel. The burger itself is nothing great, but the experience is a must! You walk into this beautiful 5-​star hotel and the last thing you would expect to find is the Burger Joint. It’s hidden behind this big red curtain. To the left of this curtain is a dark hallway with a small neon sign that is the icon of a burger. That’s it… no signs, advertising, nothing… If you don’t know it’s there, you would walk right past it.
So walk down this dark hallway, approach the dimly lit neon sign and you will reach the doorway. You walk in and you’re in another world, amazing… you just left a 5-​star hotel and walked into a burger dive… awesome! The place is small, crowded… but the atmosphere is great with happy people eating their burgers, great burger dive décor.
Again the burger is not that great… but you have to go to this location at least once for the experience.

Was craving a burger after a long day of work and travel. Looked through Unilocal and saw good reviews of this place at the le Parker meridian in midtown. Got into the hotel and couldn’t find the place. It’s behind curtains on the left in a very dive bar setting. Lots of writing on the walls, old tvs, and memorabilia. The menu is small with limited choices.
I got the double cheeseburger, a vanilla shake and fries. The double cheeseburger was messy but tasty. Not the best burger I have but certainly not the worst. The fries were delicious and went well with the vanilla
Shake. I would certainly recommend this place if you’re in need of a greasy fix. Pricey

Messy hole in the wall inside hotel– great burgers.

Everything about this place is great. First you enter a hotel then u go to the burger joint. Great atmosphere and even more delicious burgers and normal fries. Must eat!

The place is really cool! Love the how chill it is. Is such a great place to grab a bite and hang out. It’s a small place but nice. The burger itself is like Juniors restaurant burgers. If you never had Juniors burger another way to put it is like a slap on the grill (fast) burger. Same with their fries. I had a cheeseburger with everything on it and regular fries and small soda came up to $ 18 which I think is pricey. All in all, it’s a cool place to chill and I’ll come back if I had a lot of money.

Enough with the story, let’s talk about food: the Works (that’s how they call the cheeseburger with everything) it’s great, though it could be a bit bigger. The fries are also great and they give you a lot.

Tucked away in the hotel, a great, no frills burger. Be prepared to know what you want on it and how you want it cooked. A perfect medium rare does the job quite well. The burger is greasy, tasty, and has a perfect bun to meat ratio. Be prepared for long lines, so I suggest coming early. The fries are thin and not too mushy but not too hard (I prefer mushy fries) — nothing to write home about. I would come again if I happen to be in the area.

In contention for the best burger in NYC, Burger Joint serves a delicious Pat LaFrieda proprietary blend of beef that is delicious at this hole in the wall hidden behind a curtain in the Parker Meridien hotel. The locale is quite strange as it is a roadhouse feel with graffiti on the walls and a strange selection of movie posters and everything is slightly sticky, but you enter through the glamorous hotel. The burgers are simple but delicious with a choice of a few toppings. I also appreciate that they let you pick your desired doneness rather than forcing everyone to medium-​rare. Finding a table can be an adventure as it is tiny and often packed. They do now accept credit cards though you’ll need cash to tip. Service is not super friendly or reaching out of the way, but the burger is worth dealing with it. The fries were not super exciting and a bit bland and mushy, so skip them and save room for more burgers.

our first meal for our little staycation in nyc, had to check this place out. it was a good burger but I personally like shake shack better… sorry lol. but this place was cool and it was fun finding it. it’s by a curtain and the burger lights your way! :)

O Burger Joint é famoso por ter um bom burger e ser «escondido» dentro de um hotel 5 estrelas (Le Parker Meridien). No entanto já é um ponto bem conhecido para quem gostam de comer hamburger e já virou ponto turístico.
O ambiente é pequeno, tem vários posters de filmes nas paredes e quase tudo (mesas e paredes) tem assinatura dos clientes que já passaram por lá. Tem vezes que a fila fica bem grande, aí é preciso paciência pois é meio devagar. Mas já fui algumas vezes que estava tranquilo.
Não tem muitas opções, ou escolhe um cheeseburguer, ou escolhe ingredientes separados, ou já pede o completo «The Works». A batata frita vem num saco marrom, mas é só acompanhamento e não tem nada demais.
Vale a experiência de comer um ótimo hamburguer num ambiente também diferente.

I haven’t been to burger joint in a long time, but for some reason it popped into my head and I said, out loud, «mmmmmmmmm»
So yeah, that is how good burger joint is. Several years after having been here last I still, on occasion, look out at the sky and dream about it.

Impression is you walk into a nice hotel and behind the curtain you feel like you walk into another dimension, a messy hole in the wall burger joint as if in the middle of no where. Booth seating, non booth seating, messy-​tattered walls with sharpie written in and old framed magazines and posters on the wall… intentionally dumpy décor.
Booth seating is dim but not too dim, lit with a defaced lamp, but overall pretty cool. Not much of condiments on table except salt and pepper but on the side there are packs of ketchup, mustard, mayo, hot sauce.
Ordered cheese burger for $ 8.96 and fries. Burgers are medium size stacked with your basic choices of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickle, etc… it’s a pretty basic burger, pretty plump. Burger meat is meaty but light and soft, bun is soft and thin, overall burger is good. The fries are thin, not so crisp, meh average fries, hey guys did you get these fries from McDonalds?
Drinks: Bottled water, five choices of soda from tap behind the counter and Samuel Adams on tap. Stack of brownies at the register, looked tempting when waiting but not sure how long they been there based on appearance, pass.

Probably the most delicious burger I’ve ever had in my life.
We were lucky to walk right in and get a seat, completely missing the lunch time rush. The burger was amazing, the fries were good. I can’t wait to share this place with my friends and family!

First of all– this place is pretty dang cool. A little burger joint in the middle of the theater district– BEHIND a cool curtain in a hotel? RAD! I got there at a time that wasn’t too busy– so our wait wasn’t that long and we got a table right away.
The burger was… okay– I asked for medium and it was medium well. It was… okay. The fries were… okay. If I had to wait longer than the 10 minutes, I wouldn’t have been very happy– especially since it’s a ‘spensive burger.
I did write my name on the wall– so, there’s that– if you sit in the far back corner facing the wall look for a tiny, tiny Knathan!
Shake Shack was better.

This is a place where you will have the best burguer in town. It’s a hidden place as it’s inside a 5-​star hotel but it’s getting noticed and you may have to line up for several minutes.
The burguer is not huge, you can add tomatoe, onion, etc… I think it’s a MUST on your visit to Manhattan

Ummm I had to stand in line for 35 minutes so for me the price and wait was not worth it. However, the burger was tasty but it was just your grannys homemade house burger nothing special or over the top about it especially not a 30 minute wait in line!!! The fries are from Kennedy’s Fried Chicken very disappointed in that was a total waste… PLZZZ think about investing in better fries!!! Also get some BACON yeah i said it! smh
The coolest part about this place is its «top Secret» location inside the Le Park Meridian Hotel!!:) Once you find it then stand in line you still will have to wait for a seat or take it to go. This is a very small location we were lucky enough to catch a table when someone was leaving. Overall if i’m in the area and there is no line and I don’t want french fries or bacon on my burger then I might stop by.

Sabado a la noche en NYC con mi viejo, ultima noche después de una semana intensa (como ustedes chicas). Tenia agregado en los favoritos ir éste Burger Joint original y luego de que el Plan A fracasara, vinimos.
Entramos al lobby de un elegante hotel y lo atravesamos, mi viejo me dice ¿Donde M**rda me trajiste? «Sorpresa» le digo, y apunto hacia una sala cuadrada, cubierta con una cortina roja.
Le hago un poco de bullying y le digo: Es acá, entrá: Empieza a correr la cortina sin entender nada y detrás de ella hay una pared de madera. Luego se aviva y ve a su izquieda, en un pasillo «la entrada secreta», que tiene un neon de hamburguesas.
Entramos al pequeño local y había bastante gente, me repite «Donde M**rda me trajiste? (Es un tipo grande) y le digo quédate tranca, buscá una mesa que yo me encargo.
Se pide el pedido en la caja. Las opciones para pedir son muy informales, elegis entre cheesburger o doblecheeburger, que toppings queres, si queres papitas fritas y que vas a tomar, no mucho mas. Compré dos doblecheeburgers completas con fritas y una jarra de cerveza Samuel Adams. Salió bastante cara la jodita pero valió la pena. La cerveza era deliciosa y las hamurguesas gigantes, un tanto grasosas pero de buena calidad de carne. Realmente las mejores de las que comí en USA, seguidas de cerca por la Angus de Hard Rock Café de Miami.
El lugar está abierto «hasta tarde» para los horarios yanquis, por ende te conviene caer a las 10PM que la gente se empieza a ir, a esa hora te van a atender mejor y mas rápido y vas a tener disponible mesitas lindas. Ni hablar si vas en grupo grande.
Hasta hace poco no aceptaban tarjetas por ende me hubiese dolido un poco mas los USD 60 que gasté en la cena, pero ahora las toman sin problemas.
Muy lindo lugar para ir una vez a conocer, que no tiene nada que envidiarle a hamburgueserías argentinas como TDN pero es una linda opción para tener en cuenta para cortar un poco la rutina newyorkina de Mc Donalds y los delis baratos.
Ahhhh, después te bajarnos la jarra, devorar las hamburguesas y disfrutar la música funk mi viejo quedó encantado!

This is a true tourist trap. After entering the hotel, you have to go behind a black curtain to enter this ‘dive’ restaurant. The atmosphere and décor were clearly the best parts of this restaurant. It’s like a hole in the wall joint inside a nice hotel.
Unfortunately the food was not representative of your typical hole in the wall. The burgers were very bland and the fries were blah. And what’s up with no free refills on Coke? My BFF works for Coke so I know they get great margins on that expensive cup of soda.
If not for the creative décor, I’d give fewer stars.
It is definitely a tourist trap and was packed! I wish them success but I know better next time.

Meh. Came here with a friend for the first time around 6pm on a Friday for dinner. The line looked short from the outside, but moved much slower than anticipated. They definitely could use a second cash register to move things along quicker.
Ordered a cheeseburger (medium rare and with the works) and fries which came out to roughly $ 14. The burger was decent at best, particularly the meat was tasty. The fries were disappointing though, as it tasted like grocery store fries that you can microwave in the fridge. You can definitely pass on the fries here. I expected much better quality from a $ 4 side order
Overall, I would probably not come back. I don’t mind having a long wait time if the food is delicious, but it wasn’t worth it this time. Sorry!

But it was SO worth it.

Where the entrance through the Le Parker Meridien hotel suggests that you’ve landed in a rather boring hotel lobby, behind the red curtains you’ll find a small restaurant with pen en posters on the walls.
After reading all the positive reviews, I had very high expectations. The burger I ordered (cheeseburger ‘the works’) was definitely a good burger, but not as delicious as the reviews suggested. This was mainly due to the meat that was not as greasy as I had hoped.
The atmosphere and the feeling that you eat your burger at a hidden place in NYC makes it a great experience!

Creo el que es un Must en NY, No solo por la calidad de las hamburguesas, que son realmente buenas, si no por la experiencia diferente. Entrar a un hotel de lujo y que detrás de una cortina roja esté este extraño lugar de paredes ralladas y afiches retro no es algo que uno ve todos los días.
No sé si es la mejor hamburguesa de NY, pero definitivamente está en mi top 3!

Sí, todo lo que cuenta la leyenda es cierto. Primero hay que entrar a un hotel de lujo y ahí escondido en el lobby por un pasillito a la izquierda hay que pasar una cortina donde se encontraran con Burger Joint, ese pequeño antro mega hipster y palacio de las hamburguesas en New York.
En principio hay que decir que las hamburguesas son muy buenas, grandes, deliciosas y geniales repletas de magia en forma de queso y bacon. Las papas también son bastante buenas y la verdad que ir a este lugar es una muy buena experiencia, tanto por el sabor de la comida en sí, la decoración del lugar, como por lo bizarro de todo.
No es todo perfecto porque –como dije– el lugar es demasiado chico y va muchísima gente, por lo que siempre esta lleno, hay que esperar o compartir mesa, en tanto que es de esos sitios en los que no te podes quedar demasiado tiempo. Pero en mi caso siempre privilegio la comida y debo decir que las hamburguesas son buenísimas. En fin, una experiencia que hay que vivir.

While on vacation in NYC, someone recommended we check this place out. They warned us about the time and said it would be worth it. I definitely disagree. There is sooooooo much good food in NYC, not sure why anyone would wait so long for this. I think we were in line for about an hour. One we made it inside, we had to be pretty quick to grab a table. The place itself is small, but has a lot of fun features. I was still excited when I sat down, up until we got our burgers…
The burgers look like you made them at a tailgate party. Very simple. That would be just fine, except they taste worse than the frozen patties sold at groceries stores. I was not at all impressed. This was not worth it to me. They have options that are «gluten-​free» and vegetarian. You can have a bunless burger if you’re gluten-​free. You can have a grilled cheese if you’re vegetarian. The grilled cheese is simply the burger bun and a slice of american cheese so if you’re picturing delicious sliced bread with tons of melted cheese. You’ll also be disappointed.

Delicious and fresh burgers made to order! Located inside the Le Parker Meridien hotel lobby, Burger Joint may be a bit hard to find. But once you’ve found it, you’ll never forget where it is.
The first time I went, I circled the lobby and left the hotel because I couldn’t find it (and my stupid pride wouldn’t let me ask for help). When I finally realized where it was (thanks to other fellow Unilocalers!) I went back and ended up having one of the best burgers I’ve ever had!
They cook their burgers to your liking, so you know you’re getting a fresh burger. Their fries aren’t the greatest, but definitely plentiful. The seating area is pretty small, and it can be really hard to get a place to sit during their peak hours, but it’s the perfect opportunity to have a seat with either a tourist, or a New Yorker.
They offer «gluten free» buns, which are really just lettuce of buns. Healthy, good, but not as delicious. Definitely go with the buns if you can handle gluten.

El hecho que esté dentro de un hotel y sólo un pequeño néón con una hamburguesa te de la pista de que hay «algo más» es sin duda entretenido y le da algo de encanto.
Sin embargo, la experiencia es un poco tensionante. Después de esperar media hora en la fila para entrar, llegamos a la puerta y nos encontramos con que hay poquitas mesas, por lo que hay que estar atento a que una se desocupe. No hay un orden para eso. Entonces, una vez que estás sentado y conseguiste tu bienamada hamburguesa, sientes la mirada de todos los clientes en la fila esperando que comas rápido. Es, sin duda, un poco incomodo.
¿Es una experiencia? Si ¿Volvería? La verdad es que no.
Por el precio, la espera y la incomodidad con que se come (rápido y con toda la gente esperando) las hamburguesas no debieran ser buenas, sino increíbles, tan especiales que justificaran todo lo anterior.

Endroit atypique!!! Dans un hôtel chic, on se retrouve dans ce resto à l’ ambiance étudiante, avec des murs recouverts d ’ écritures ! incroyable!!!
Avant d’ entrer, on trouve dans le couloir des petites boîtes correspondant à différents pays. On y trouve des fiches rédigées dans notre langue, ou il né reste plus qu’a cocher ce que l on souhaite mangerLes burgers sont bons. On a prit le cheeseburger avec tout dessus (salade, oignons, cornichons) :8,96 $ pièce, une frite pour 2 suffit: correctes mais sans plus.
A faire absolument rien que pour le lieu insolite!!!

Absoluter Geheimtipp für alle New York Reisenden! Ja, ihr müsst wirklich ins Le Parker Meridien Hotel hinein gehen und dort in der Lobby links in einen winzigen und kaum zu sehenden Gang abbiegen. Nur ein kleines Leuchtschild eines Burgers weist auf den Laden hin. Ihr kommt aus einem gläsernen Luxushotel in eine Oldschool-​Burgerbude, die einfach nur traumhaft authentisch ist. Diner-​Sitze, jede Menge Retro-​Zeugs und dazu super leckere und frische Burger. Hier ist alles auf das Wesentliche reduziert: Es gibt nur Hamburger oder Cheeseburger, dazu Pommes und Drinks. Unbedingt ausprobieren!

Tres bon burger dans un tout petit endroit, bien caché derrière un rideau rouge!

A la sortie d’un évènement ayant lieu au Madison Square Garden, et à l’écoute bienveillante de notre estomac, c’était évidemment l’occasion rêvée de se faire un Sunday-​burger.
Nous avons donc entamé notre marche vers ce fameux Burger Joint, dont les avis né cessaient de converger vers ce qui semblait être l’Eden du Burger à New-​York.
Premier obstacle à cet Eden, la localisation. En effet, caché dans un Hotel, (oui-​oui, dans un Hotel, derrière un rideau), et pas forcément identité par les riverains, la phase d’investigations peut vite vous faire basculer du côté obscure si vous commencez à tourner en rond.
Une fois arrivée, comme une mauvaise nouvelle n’arrive jamais seule, il faut faire la queue. Et on la fait, et lorsqu’on a de la chance on s’installe.
On est évidemment loin du goût du Burger de Mcdo ou encore celui de Wendy, s et de BK, mais on n’atteint pas non plus un niveau de qualité stratosphérique qui vaille cette attente et le prix bien trop élevé. Comptez près de 20 dollars pour un menu.
Je né recommande pas forcément, mais pour un cours séjour à Manhattan c’est peut être un bon compromis.

on fait la queue, on remplit une petite fiche, disponible en plusieurs langues, ou l’on note ce que l’on souhaite ainsi que la cuisson de la viande et ce que l’on veut dans son burger
les prix sont un peu elevés mais c’est délicieux
Les frites né sont pas exceptionnelles
Endroit chaleureux et typiquement américain par contre !!

Dicen que atrás de una cortina, en el lobby de un hotel 5 estrellas de NYC se esconde la mejor hamburguesa de Nueva York… yo digo que no puedo asegurar que sea la mejor, pero es genial!
Lo que más atrae y gusta de este lugar probablemete no sea su hamburquesa, sino el hecho de que entrás a un hotel muy muy top, y al costado de una cortina bordó se enconde un antro divino, con mucha música no popular, en el que se comen hamburguesas muy buenas con cerveza tirada.
No se asusten cuando entren y les parezca imposible que ahí mismo se encuentre esta hamburguesería, entren y busquen la cortina, y sino pregunten sin miedo, no se van a arrepentir!
IMPORTANTE: no ir en horario pico de almuerzo 12:30/13 hs porque se llena de gente que trabaja en los alrededores

¿Una hamburguesería «cutre» escondida en un hotel de lujo? Sí, está en Nueva York y tiene muchísima fama. Nosotros intentamos venir un par de veces y la primera vez no la encontramos, un poco porque hacía mucho frío, otro poco porque no preguntamos dónde estaba, así que nos metimos en un tailandés riquísimo que hay al lado.
El Burger Joint es difícil de localizar la primera vez. Yo me pensaba que era una hamburguesería como la casa de Up, atrapada entre dos rascacielos y resistiéndose a claudicar. Sin embargo, está dentro del hotel, escondida entre cortinas junto a la recepción, en un hall de lujo muy cerca de Central Park. ¿Merece la pena entonces tanto rollo?
Pues yo creo que sí. Aunque la hamburguesa no es la mejor de Nueva York (tampoco sé cuál es, pero en Sevilla las hay mejores que esta), sí que está bastante buena. Es de tipo grasiento y pringosa hasta decir basta, pero la carne está riquísima y los acompañantes también. Si haces como nosotros y te la tomas acompañada de un batido helado, la experiencia gastronómica será como rozar el sueño americano. Ya tu colesterol opinará otra cosa en el futuro, pero en el momento es ambrosía.
Además de lo místico de lo escondido, el local es bastante chico, cutre y está hasta las trancas de gente. Apenas un pequeño cartel de néón, un papel y un lápiz para apuntarte las comandas y entregarlas en caja cuando termina la cola. Está guay, al menos para ir una primera vez y poder contar a la vuelta del viaje que estuviste «en la hamburguesería secreta que hay en NYC» :)

Direkt im Hotel, in einem Fensterlosen Raum rechts neben der Rezeption. Es gibt nur Burger und Pommes. Mehr nicht und das reicht.
Super lecker und ein absolut geiles Flair.

Kult inmitten einer hektischen Welt. Eintreten (wenn man es hinter dem Vorhang in der Hotellobby den findet) und geniessen. Ein Hauch von echten Burger Lokalen in Amerika. Preis für NYC schon ok.

Je recommanderai de se limiter aux Burgess qui sont excellents, car les frites en revanche sont arrivées un peu froide et le «brownie» serait plutôt un cake au chocolat pas super…

Coup de coeur assuré pour cet endroit caché dans l’hôtel Le Méridien à NYC avec juste ce burger en enseigne lumineuse :).
L’endroit est top! Très bien décoré (à mon goût), ambiance décontracté (contrairement à l’entrée dans l’hôtel…). J’adore ce genre d’endroits à NY, il faut chercher un peu et hop, on trouve un endroit hors du commun. Il me semble que ce fast food est tenu par un français :).
Je me suis régalée avec le burger, viande grillée comme j’aime. Seul reproche: les frites qui sont à mon avis, surgelées (mais il nous a été difficile de trouver des bonnes frites comme dans le nord de la France, forcément !). La sauce manquait un peu aussi. J’avais demandé ketchup/​moutarde, l’on peut rajouter de la mayo.
Le milkshake vanille est un tuerie! Le meilleur que j’ai pu déguster :).
Bref, j’en garde un très bon souvenir!

Den Burger Joint zu finden ist echt schon ein Erlebnis haha Wir sind auf eine Empfehlung eines Freundes hierher, ansonsten hätten wir es wahrscheinlich nie gefunden. Der Laden ist in der Hotellobby hinter einem roten Vorhang versteckt und das einzige was auf den Laden hindeutet, ist eine kleine leuchtende Burgerreklame am ende eines dunklen Ganges.
Drinnen ist alles sehr «rustikal» würde ich mal sagen: D Ich fand die Atmosphäre super, aber ich denke es ist nichts für jedermann.
Der Burger war lecker, aber schwer zu essen, da bei meinem zumindest alles drohte herauszufallen: D Einfach mal die Bilder anschauen. Ich denke, hätte ich ihn an der Wand gerieben wäre sie durchsichtig geworden: D
Auch ein stolzer Preis von knapp $ 14 für einen Burger, aber was soll der falsche Geiz: D

La mejor hamburguesa de mi vida, tamaño perfecto y mucho sabor. Pedir la «works» que va con todo.

Antes de ir por primera vez a Nueva York un amigo me habló de esta minúscula hamburguesería «escondida» en un hotel de cuatro estrellas, y me dijo que aquí había probado la mejor hamburguesa de su vida. Así que lógicamente la incluí entre mis lugares de visita obligada…
Bueno, debo decir que las hamburguesas no me parecieron para tanto. Están muy buenas, sin duda, pero no creo que sean las mejores que he probado (tampoco las mejores en NYC). Y tras estar en el lugar, creo que Burger Joint es más bien uno de esos sitios que, por la leyenda que hay alrededor suyo, se convierten en un «hit» que no es que sea difícil de explicar (porque la verdad es que el establecimiento mola), pero que claramente tiene una fama algo hinchada.
En fin, que si decides pasarte por aquí, lo primero que encontrarás será una cola muy larga hacia una puertecita casi escondida tras unos grandes cortinajes en el hall del hotel. Cuando llegues por fin al interior, te encontrarás con un local pequeñito y repleto de gente, así que te recomiendo que tu primera misión, si no vas solo, sea encomendar a alguien la tarea de pillar mesa. Tú puedes hacer el resto de la cola hacia la caja para hacer tu pedido mientras contemplas las paredes del restaurante, repletas de fotografías, recortes de prensa, posters de películas… Luego, cuando te sientes, verás también que las mesas del lugar son testigo vivo del paso de cientos y cientos de personas, que han grabado sus mensajes, nombres, etc., sobre la madera para dejar constancia de que estuvieron en Burger Joint. ¿Catetada? Que cada uno juzgue como quiera…
El caso es que, como decía antes, las hamburguesas están buenas, pero no son la repanocha. Cuestan alrededor de 8 dólares, y lo suyo es acompañarlas de un buen batido y sus patatas fritas. Los «milkshakes», para mi gusto, se pasan de precio, yéndose por encima de los 5 dólares por un vaso, cuando en algún que otro sitio por ese precio te sirven el vaso y te dejan lo que ha sobrado del batido en la coctelera para que te lo rellenes. Sumando, sumando, te puede salir la comida por casi 20 dólares por las tres cosas.
Así que, aunque creo que merece la pena darse una vuelta por Burger Joint por conocer lo curioso que es el local, en mi opinión al final se está pagando más por la fama del sitio y su leyenda que por lo que realmente sirve. Vamos… que es más bien otra atracción turística que visitar en Nueva York.

Ah quand même, je m’attendais à mieux au vu de la réputation de ce «Burger Joint».
C’est à découvrir pour son adresse particulière du sud de Central Park, localisé dans un petit coin caché de l’hôtel «Le Parker Méridien». Enfin, plus trop dissimuler car beaucoup de clients s’y pressent et notamment en soirée il faut bien trente minutes de file d’attente pour accéder à l’intérieur du restaurant.
Juste avant d’entrer, des petites fiches à remplir dans diverses langues (mais pas français alors que le gérant en vient) permettent de faire sa sélection de la carte et de donner directement le papier à la caisse pour une commande plus rapide.
Après avoir décidé qui aura les faveurs entre le Hamburger et le Cheesburger, on choisi les ingrédients, la cuisson de la viande et on attends que son nom soit prononcé pour aller chercher son repas.
Dans l’ensemble c’est bon mais pas mémorable non plus et la portion est trop petite pour le prix que ça coute.

L’endroit est certes atypique mais le burger est l’un des pires que l’on pourrait trouver à NY: viande sèche, sans saveur et les frites insipides. L’attente né vaut pas le coup, d’autant plus que le service est très désagréable. La serveuse est très hautaine. Pour moitié prix autant aller a shake shack c’est bien meilleur!

Vor Jahren wohl eher ein Geheimtipp, hat mich ein Kollege «hinter den Vorhang» mitgenommen.
Es sah dreckig aus und war laut, aber es war GUT und es war irgendwie Kult.
Jahre später habe ich meine Schwester damit überrascht, dass man quer zum Empfang an der Lobby vorbei eine guten Burger im «Hinterzimmer» finden kann.
Auch diesmal war ich mir Besuch dort, auch diesmal fanden wir es kultig und lecker, aber etwas der Coolness ist weg, da man jetzt die Touristenströme verköstigen muss, geht es jetzt noch schneller und enger zu als bisher.
Der Burger ist dennoch lecker und sehr gut.

Si je conseille ce petit restaurant de burger c’est principalement pour le cadre. Avant de voir la longue queue, on pense s’aventurer dans un endroit caché car pour y accéder il faut littéralement rentrer dans ce bel hôtel et soulever le grand rideau de velours rouge.
Né vous laissez pas impressionner par la queue les mecs sont très rapides et on accède assez vite aux burgers. Pas de recommandation les burgers sont à composer soi même.
Au delà de l’arrivée qui est impressionnante il faut noter la déco et le cadre qui sont vraiment convivial et sympathique. Il faut par contre prévoir un long moment pour faire la queue et attendre à manger et un très court moment pour manger car les serveurs n’hésiteront pas à vous mettre dehors afin que les personnes suivantes puissent s’asseoir et déguster.
Bön, on me l’avait vendu comme le meilleur burger de la ville…(comme le Shake Shak) très hébétement ça reste un burger de fast food (pas de vrai pain, pas de vrai frittes et pas de vrai steak) mais les légumes sont frais et il n’y a pas de sauce chimique puis le burger fond en bouche.
Ce n’est quand même pas donné: burger + frittes 16 dollars…
Je né le conseillerai donc pas nécessairement pour la gastronomie mais pour l’expérience ça vaut le coup d’y faire un tour

A friend show me this hidden place! The burgers are great but a bit small. I would recommend to eat 2 burgers instead of the fries which are also great.

Très jolie salle cachée dans le lobby de l’hôtel. Il y’a peu de tables, mais le service y est rapide.
En revanche, le burger y est bien trop surévalué et trop cher. La viande était sèche, même pour une cuisson médium, le fromage sans goût, le pain misérable digne de supermarchés discount et les frites surgelées mal cuites.
Heureusement que nous n’avons pas eu à faire la queue. Je vous conseil plutôt un Shake Shack si vous voulez un bon burger.

Todo el mundo dice que allí hacen las mejores hamburguesas de toda la ciudad… — para mí no lo eran para nada.
Sí, las hamburguesas están buenas, pero para nada muy grandes y valen 8 dólares, y las patatas fritas casi 4… así que por lo menos la comida debe estar decente, creo yo.
Sí, el sitio es muy curioso, un local pequeño escondido detrás de una cortina en medio de un hotel súper guay… pero también está siempre llenísimo porque todo el mundo sigue las recomendaciones (igual que yo en su día).
PERO: realmente no entiendo tantos halagos y tantas estrellas.
A lo mejor es por el local y ambiente «especial»…
O a lo mejor es porque toda la gente va allí pensando que se va a comer la mejor hamburguesa de su vida y luego se lo cree en plan autosugestión — no tengo otra explicación.
Vale, se pueden comer las hamburguesas, pero no tienen nada especial — y he comido mucho mejores en otros sitios que me hacen salivar de sólo pensarlo.
No volvería.

Hotel luxuoso, local simples, fila imensa, no final um dos sanduíches mais saborosos que tive o prazer de experimentar.
Não voltarei, porque já voltei repeti na mesma viagem.

Le burger était pas mal, même si les 45 minutes d’attente debout sont un peu longues. Petit bémol pour les frites surgelées type mac do !

Dans le hall du Parker Meridien, il y à toujours une line up. Étrange pour un hôtel. Et bien non, derrière le comptoir du lobby, se cache le Burger Jjoint. Un MINI burger place, qui propose une carte très simple: cheeseburger, burger et grilledcheese.
La légende veut qu’il s’agisse du meilleur burger de NYC.
L’odeur qui se dégage de l’endroit ouvre la faim, et on s’en lèche allégrement les babines. Les frites sont bonnes. Ai gouté le Grilled cheese, un peu fade, je dois l’avouer. Triste sandwich sans viande. Mais l’expérience est très sympa quand même.

Definitiv der beste Burger der Stadt! In ein Jahr New York habe ich keinen besseren Burger gegessen! Alle Besucher waren der gleichen Meinung! Ein offenes Geheimnis, wie man da hinkommt, aber so kann Werbung auch funktionieren! Früher hingehen und nicht verzweifeln! An der Schlange kommt der Hunger und es wird sich immer ein Platz finden!

DAS war mit Abstand der beste Burger, den wir je gegessen haben. Der kleine Laden neben der Rezeption des Le Parker Meridien hinter dicken Vorhängen ist wahrlich ein Geheimtipp. Am Eingang füllt man einen Zettel mit allen wichtigen Details zum gewünschten Burger (was soll drauf, Beilagen, Getränke, Garungsgrad des Fleisches) aus. Der Burger, den wir bekamen war ein Traum, sah nicht toll aus, schmeckte aber suuuuuper! Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt genau (wir wollten es medium). Wir haben sofort Nachschub geordert. Die Pommes waren nicht gut. Beim zweiten Burger haben wir auch die Zwiebeln weggelassen, weil die sehr intensiv waren. Ohne war der Burger noch besser! Nur zu empfehlen!!!

Wenn man in Manhattan zum Sightseeing und shopping ist, dann ist dieser gut versteckte Burgerladen eine Preiswerte ung gute Alternative. Ich habe bereits 3 Nächte im Hotel verbracht, bis ich neugierig geworden duch eine Menschenschlange _​neben der stylischen Rezeption aufmerksam geworden bin.
Die Gegensätze von Design Hotel und Countryside Ausstattung des Burger rooms sind wirklich lustig.
Die Burger (Fullversion) sind aber wirklich sehr gut und sehr zu empfehlen.
Wenn ich in New York bin, besuche ich diesen Laden immer!

Versteckt in der Lobby des Hotels Le Parker Meridien ist ein KLASSE burger Laden.
Durch Marmor und Klassische Musik begleitet in der Halle kommt man versteckt hinter Gardinen
in diesen witzig eingerichteten Burger-​joint. Einfache Karte (Burger-​Cheeseburger) Pommes und die üblichen Getränke. Ein absolut witziges cross over erlebnis.

Une très belle découverte typiquement New Yorkaise !!
Avec une carte très simple et des très bon Burger et très bonnes frites !!
Il faut tenter l’aventure et rentrer dans ce grand hall d’hôtel chic et après suivez le Burger !! Rien que pour l’ambiance et l’improbabilité d’un tel lieu il faut y aller !!

Un tout petit restau qui fait même un peu troquet avec des murs tapissés de mots ou signatures laissés par des clients au fil du temps, avec une deco un peu vieillotte mais très sympa quand même… le tout situé dans le hall d’un grand hôtel plutôt classe ! Pour le coup ce n’est pas banal ! mais ça le rend pas évident à trouver !
De plus les burgers sont excellents, les frites aussi !

Nous arrivons devant un hôtel très chic ! Après hésitation nous entrons dans le hall ! Un grand doute nous envahie, comment trouver un Burger dans ce hall luxueux !
Prêt a renoncer nous prenons le chemin de la sortie !
Quelle surprise lorsque nous tombons sur l’enseigne du Burger Joint au fond d’un couloir !
La suite est un moment délicieux dans un endroit sans commune mesure
Les Burgers sont délicieux, la bière excellente, les milkshakes énormes !
Seul point négatif la taille du resto impose d’être patient et de né pas être clostro !

Lieu incongru pour un hamburger !
Caché derrière l’accueil d’un hotel haut standing, il ressemble à un snack miteux sur le bord d’une autoroute.
Mais il né faut pas s’y fier! Le prix sont plus qu’abordable, et même si ce n’est pas le meilleur, il est vraiment très bon !

Da gebe ich Till recht, leckerer Burger, schön medium-​rare gebraten wenn nicht anders gewünscht und für ca 7 USD nicht der teuerste lunch in mid-​town.
