Buddha Nails Autoclave SterilizationWe use Autoclave Sterilize to ensure our customers and technicians good health.

An autoclave is an instrument used to sterilize equipment and supplies by subjecting them to high pressure saturated steam at 121 °C for around 15 – 20 minutes depending on the size of the load and the contents.

The most ridiculous nail salon!!!
Unprofessional !!!
I wanted to take my tips off and the ladies interrogated me one by one as if they have never seen tips .
Then I was charged for a pedicure 22 dollars while pedi mani was 25 because they did not want to take off the tips .
Really ridiculous nail salon !

It’s hard to rate nail salons because almost every time it’s a different experience based on who is doing the manicure and pedicure BUT after having been to multiple nail salons in the city I can say that Buddha nails across the board has been the most consistent with their service in terms of taking the time to do it right, very nice customer service, reasonable prices, good loyalty card program, great add ons like massages etc. overall, when it comes to getting my nails done I hate wasting time and money on places I can’t trust to be consistently good everytime so that’s why I think that Buddha truly is one of the better salons out there. Also, their second location is run by the same people so also good and consistent with their service. Also, they are happy to quick fix any chips or smudges you make if it’s really close to the time you got it done.

I stopped in for a quick eyebrow wax — thee place was full so I let it must be good. No –y eyebrows were barely waxed and as soon as I got back to work, my co-​workers asked about my eyebrows and said“you can’t keep getting cheap wax”. Not worth the cheap wax. I have very UNsensitive skin and I have redness and pimples the evening after.

Reason for coming here with my friend was that they told us they did acrylic nails (they do not do acrylic nails!!!)
They told us they did not and acted all confused after they say us down.
So I ended up just getting a pedicure… And it took forever and was not great and the girl who did my toes was kind of weird and kept trying to upsell me shit. It was expensive too!!! For a pedicure in the city you can pretty much ANYWHERE get a pedi/​mani total for $ 25.
My sub par pedi was $ 22. And then (like all nail places in the city) you have to tip them in cash and they make a big deal about it. I think a general best practice for nail salons needs to be DONT BRING UP YOUR TIP. ITS PUSHY. Obviously we are going to tip you. «Don’t you have cash?» Is just such an annoying question — a customer is trying to tip you so let them do it the way that they want. ENOUGH ALREADY! Also no one carries cash anymore it’s 2015. Get with the times and get a Credit card processor that adds tip.

I stumbled into this place, yesterday, looking for a manicure. After finding it on Unilocal,I decided to give it a go. Hearing $ 9 for a manicure I was instantly intrigued.
The girl who did the manicure was really sweet & friendly. The problem started after I left the nail salon. My nails are chipping, I mean literally pieces of polish are coming off. Less than 18 hrs later & they don’t look good.
I could’ve done a better job myself. I may have to keep that in my mind, next time. I guess you really do get what you pay for…

Went in at 7:55pm for a pedicure and no chip manicure. They look at me (all 8 workers) like I have 10 heads. I stand there for 3 minutes as they talk amongst themselves. I had to say «yes or no?» They say no it’s too late. I say you are open 2 more hours, they say not tonight. Plenty of other places to go! I’m not sure I’ve ever written a review, horrible customer service!

Really polite girls that work here, very friendly! My new favorite pedi spot ! Really great discounts Mon– Thur $ 24 for a Mani Pedi and they give you a quick massage while your nails are drying! I walked in at 8pm on a Monday and didn’t have to wait at all — great if you randomly decide you want a little pick-​me-​up mid week. They also have a rewards card, so every 5 times you come in you get a mani or eyebrow thread for free!

Not too impressed. It could’ve been the manicurist I had but the service wasn’t friendly and she just went through the motions of my service. It wasn’t terrible, just nothing special about the facility as a whole. Prices were fair– lower than most in the area, but I probably wouldn’t go back.

I have been coming here for years and have seen almost everyone at the shop. All the technicians are professional and make my nails look beautiful! They take their time and don’t rush you, which I like a lot!
They have a large selection of colors from Essie and opi– both classic colors and the new seasonal colors. Depending on who I get some manicures last longer but typically it lasts 4 – 5 days. Pedicures last forever (but isn’t that always the case :))
It gets crowded between 6 – 8 so come before or after or make an appointment!
Prices are comparable for the area– $ 25 for mani/​pedi on weekdays.

I get a manicure every week and this is my spot. The prices are unbeatable in the Murray Hill area, it’s clean, the service is execellent, and the manicures last a long time (to be honest, if I weren’t so addicted to fromaldehyde I’d only need to come every 2 weeks, THAT is how long these manicures last).
They have a large selection of both Essie and OPI, and are always up-​to-​date with the newest collections. Manicures here take longer than at other salons but that’s because the nail technicians are extremely thorough with their work. They have a rewards card too– every 5 visits, your 6th is free (for either a manicure or an eyebrow wax).
I also highly recommend treating yourself to a 10 minute post-​manicure massage– they’re GREAT, I nearly fall asleep each time. After every manicure, you get a complimentary back massage as you dry. Their pedicure chairs are massage chairs too– HEAVEN.
I’ve converted so many of my friends to being regulars here. ALL PRAISE THE BUDDHA.
Also, if you’re coming Thursdays through Saturdays– MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. They get busy. I’ve seen them have up to a 45 minute wait.

Eh. Just avoid this place. If you’re in a pinch I guess you can go here but I walked in and it was not welcoming at all.
I am not a pretentious person by any means but when I was getting my pedicure there were flies buzzing around the shop and it just was not the relaxing Sunday experience I was looking for.
They also did not file my nails evenly, nor did they get they really put any effort into making the pedicure a restorative experience.
Bottom Line: Uneven nails, bad paint job, and overpriced for the quality.

Simple, decent nail salon in Murray Hill. The staff does a pretty nice job, and the mani and pedi I got lasted as long as they should have (typically I want my mani to last at least a week). Pretty small space, so sometimes there’s a wait. Everything seems clean, just not super modern.
The salon is very quiet (no music or TV), other then a house phone that constantly rings and is answered by the male salon manager who speaks very loudly in a different language to whomever is on the other end.

Went for a simple manicure after work today. First the older male manager guy started to do my manicure, but cut my nails too short. Then he hands me over to a younger woman who hardly spoke to me, and when she did, I had to ask her to repeat herself because she mumbled. She took her time, but she was just too slow.
After 25 minutes, during which she meticulously trimmed the cuticles yet ignored me, I said I had to go. I took out money to pay for the manicure, which she looked at, but didn’t take at first. She slowly collected my money, slowly did everything. I’m sorry, but I have stuff to do! Finally I said «Just put the clear coat on, I have to go.» When the male manager came back and asked what was wrong, I said I had to go, it was taking too long, and I just wanted the clear coat to finish. «No color? You don’t want color?» asked the manager. «No! I have to go!» I said again. Ridiculous.
I won’t be back.
