Great menu. Pizzas are good for sharing, nice thin crusts. All ingredients are great and dishes are tasty. Desserts were insane. Share for the table. Service was ok. Nothing great. Recommend a reservation, on a Monday night by 7pm it was pretty crowded

Good pizza and pasta place, good service and quick in the kitchen, so order 1 course at a time. FYI.

So My Friend Orly who had already eaten at this location wanted me to give it a try after seeing Sylvia On Broadway. To be Honest though I have no complaints about the food, nor the service, I still think that those prices listed on the menu are exhorbitant, and for the portion that you get it is totally ridiculous. I would not go back to Brio because I can get more for my money at any other Italian Restaurants around this same neighborhood.

Excellent Italian cuisine! Very delicious, fresh ingredients masterfully cooked to make your mouth happy. The Tagliatelle alla Bolognese was very simple, but had the best sauce/meat ragu I’ve ever had in New York. The service was impeccable and very professional. This place is a real treat if you want really good italian bistro food. They have many fantastic seafood dishes as well, and each one is incredible.

Enjoyed dinner on Easter Sunday with my husband. The staff were very attentive, as I had to wait for my husband to arrive from work and they made sure I was comfortable. As soon as he arrived our waitress Ada made sure to come right over. He had the Lasagna special and I the Rigatoni Alla Norma, both were excellent. Tiramisu for dessert was great as well. Would definitely return and recommend. *We used a certificate and Ada was very knowledgeable about how it works and made sure we were aware of what we had to spend to meet the requirements, that was a plus.

I went here with a former coworker and i have to say i was a bit disappointed. I order the Pappardelle con Salciccia e Funghi– and my friend ordered the brio burger. The burger was HUGE(which I am not complaining about) and my friend reported it was quite good(7⁄10). Unfortunately the service wasn’t the best,(really awkward when we initially walked in and what I’m assuming is the manager was at the bar with friends, and didn’t even ask if we needed help. Poor service) and my pasta was so bland. SOBLAND. You would think something that had mushrooms and sausage it would be good. Nah. It was so oily, and it didn’t taste like they used the good olive oil either. I love to cook, and coming from a home where all I cook is italian food, I expect when we spend money on a meal it would be good. Not so much here.

Love Brio — our neighborhood local. Really delicious food, cool vibe, outside seating and friendly staff. Their pizza is the best! Also GF pasta — wish they’d try a GF pizza crust!

Avoid this place — the manager overcharged us and then refused to adjust our bill to correct their own error. We decided to try Brio based on an advertised special dinner deal. As we were seated, we confirmed that the special was available, and its price and terms. After dinner, we received a bill for the«regular» price, and when we complained, the manager called us liars and refused to adjust the bill in line with what Brio advertised, and what we were initially promised. Just to get us out of there, my wife asked the manager if he would split the difference, and chalk it up to a misunderstanding. He still refused. After about five more minutes of talking in circles, he screamed at us to get out of the restaurant. So we did. That’s right — the manager preferred to accept ZERO payment(and screw over his wait staff, since he kicked us out before we could tip them) instead of finding a solution that didn’t make us feel like we were being cheated and overcharged. Customer disputes happen all the time in the restaurant industry — but Brio’s manager just doesn’t have the basic social skills to handle unhappy customers.

Pricey but worth it! The pizza is very good here, everything tastes fresh and next time I’m in the area I want to come back.

Service is out-friggin’-standing. Food is average. I had the Insalata Nizzarda. It wasn’t bad. It wasn’t good. It filled me up. The tuna tasted like it came from a can. For an $ 18 salad, I want to close my eyes and moan after the first bite. That did not happen. Same with my friend’s food, the Bucatini all’ Amatriciana. However, she liked it. No moans though. Wine is overpriced, and delicious. My house Sauvignon blanc was $ 15.

We were in the area for an event later in the evening, so we booked a table at Brio for dinner. Based on previous reviews throughout the web, we were actually pleasantly surprised by the food quality. The rigatoni all a Norma was cooked nicely and the sauce had good flavor. My fiancée had the seafood special, which was good but a bit salty. The atmosphere here was unpleasant. Every other table had a screaming child(I guess this is where the children of Manhattan come to eat?) and the host/manager had an attitude throughout the evening. Decent value food, bad atmosphere and service, so we likely will not return.

The food was good, the grilled calamari appetizer is really light and yummy, the music and ambiance are great. The reason for my 3 stars, the chef wouldn’t put fried chicken cutlet with my pasta dish, only grilled chicken, which doesn’t really go with red sauce, but whatever… il Mulino and Serafinas are definitely better and right around the corner… the customer should always be accommodated especially with such a simple request at a pricey dinner.

Never actually got any food. Went in and were seated — at the table right on the path to the kitchen — even though there were other empty tables. Music was so loud that we could not even hear each other, seated at the same table. We were seated next to two women who were shouting to each other(I guess understandably). :-/One of them was holding a dog. :( After all this, we couldn’t even find anything that looked at all worth putting up with the ‘ambiance’. So we left.

I stumbled into Brio one night when i had just enough time to kill so that i could enjoy a glass of Red. The staff is so attentive and helpful! They let me try a few different wines without me even asking. I told the bartender i like full bodied Reds and he helped me find a beautiful one! He even let me scan all the labels so i could rank them on Vivino(coolaid man: ooohhh yeaaaaahhh). The bar is a nice sized communal marble countertop, to the left of some smaller tables. I peeped some people being escorted into the back, so im assuming there are more tables unless the patrons disappeared into a secret UES speakeasy(high unlikely). The big open bar(with a wonderful wine selection) along with the dimmed lights and low music give the restaurant a nice feel. Will definitely be back for dinner! P. S. Cool assortment of different light bulbs over the tables

The service was prompt and friendly, the food was well-prepared. This is a solid spot for lunch – plan an hour, because this place get BUSY fast. The wait staff is attentive and keeps glasses full and keeps bread coming if desired, but i think the kitchen gets overwhelmed quickly. I absolutely recommend the Orecchiette.

Cannot express how much I enjoy this restaurant. Massimo-the owner literally sits and greets his patrons… Especially since most are regulars like myself. I go there at least 1 – 3 times a week with my boss, she was the one who introduced me to this place. The staff is literally unbelievably attentive … Always. And the bartender sees and greets us even when we are sitting outside(great outdoor seating) Which always impresses us(Juan Carlos) It is definitely a family or friendly place to sit and relax and be treated like gold after a long day. I could easily sit here by myself have a drink and relax while people watching outside lol Lastly… It is the ONLY place that has incredibly healthy choices to chose from OTHER than the salad selection EVERYWHERE we go. NY would be skinny if they had more places like this… With variety for all. It is also the ONLY place I have been to that has un-breaded calamari… Literally amazing. I love me some Brio!

Not a bad place in the upscale dining stretch in this area. The restaurant was a lot bigger than I thought it was. From the outside it looks small, but there’s a LOT of seating inside. I was highly entertained by our waiter. He was very animated and pronounced everything with a comically forced clarity. Yes we also speak English despite our looks. I had my staple Italian dish… pasta in tomato sauce with some sort of seafood. In this case it was black linguine, with shrimp. It was pretty good. I’d be back for lunch again.
