Braised Restaurant

First time ordering from here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I was in a hurry so opted for the first item on the menu I laid my eyes on … «La Taco Fiesta Suprema». It arrived looking delicious as ever and was accompanied with a mix of avocado/​guacamole and sour cream. Imagine a bowl of ground meat with shredded cheese served atop a bed of rice. Absolute deliciousness! I was only able to make it halfway thru the plate before I had to throw in the white towel. Needless to say, my tummy was content.
The delivery arrived quick and the portion was plentiful. It even came with a complimentary Snickers bar, which was a nice surprise! I haven’t had a Snickers bar in ages!!!
Overall, a great option for delivery if you’re in the Midtown area if you’re looking for something good and quick!

I don’t usually like to be negative on places but this was terrible. Barely any pulled pork or broccoli. It was cold and late. I used to order daily from braised and decided to try again today. Quality is way down won’t be ordering again.

I’ve ordered here 3 times for lunch through Seamless, and after having tried a different sandwich for my third order, and been blown away by the excellence of the sandwiches, I thought I should share a review, particularly since this place isn’t particularly well reviewed and the pics look kinda sad.
I’m a sandwich guy, so I was intrigued by their sandwich Me llamo Rueben, a slightly smoky, tangy reuben experience. I gave it a shot, and fell in love. It’s got a vinegar-​based coleslaw instead of kraut, pickled jalepenos, and «chipoltle-​spiked russian dressing» (though my foodie friend and I noted smoked paprika; the sandwich has a nice spice-​induced smoky flavor). I didn’t love the coleslaw by itself when I ordered it on the side.
I’ve had that sandwich a few times, it always comes hot and delicious. Today I thought I would try something different, the Sticky Sweet Braised Brisket. Also an additionally delicious sandwich. Comes with the mango habanero BBQ sauce (probably on the mild-​to-​mildly spicy side) on the side in a separate container. Another excellent choice.
Now I’m hooked, and can’t wait to try some of their other interestingly different dishes. Honestly by the pictures on Unilocal (and from what I’ve heard from coworkers who have ordered) the bowls seem kind of underwhelming, and I wouldn’t order the Chinese food either (I don’t really like Chinese food unless it’s Joe’s Shanghai), but MAN these sandwiches are GREAT.
So yea, if you like moderately heavy sandwiches, these aren’t huge sandwiches with tons of meat (my favorite sandwiches are stacked Jersey Shore subs) but they are fantastically delicious, nice and rich flavor, come hot and fresh (I hate cold/​lukewarm hot sandwiches), and the ciabatta rolls are perfect crisp texture, overall just really really awesome sandwiches.
One star off because despite this being midtown, $ 13 for a sandwich is steep, even a great sandwich, and also because other people have said they were underwhelmed by the bowls, even though I’d never order one.

For the price, the food just wasn’t worth it (see my salmon pic). I ordered the roasted salmon and pulled chicken. The roasted salmon had 2 measly pieces of salmon that is the perfect portion for toddlers. The pulled chicken was too salty and sweet at the same time. Both orders came with way too much rice. By the end of my meal, I was not satisfied at all and kept burping up the flavor of rice.
Not good for $ 12 per order for just a container full of carbs. The idea of letting you choose protein, veggies and toppings are great, but if the flavors suck and the protein portions are lacking, then food is not good at all.

I wouldn’t classify this place as «Mediterranean». The listed location is a take-​out focused organic food restaurant. The menu has a Chinese spin, but the food is not «authentic Chinese». The taste of the food itself is not very flavorful but could be due to the «healthy» factor. All their smoothies and juices come in a mason jar ($ 8.75 for 16oz). The bowls of fried rice topped with pieces of protein are $ 12 – 16. Similar angle as organic restaurant «Leafage» and «Authentic».

In an attempt to get #brian to get into Unilocal,I have asked for his help to put this review together as he ordered from here the other night on seamless. I have been wanting to chiggidy check this place out myself but alas there are no Unilocal reviews yet so I was too nervous. Brian graciously volunteered to be the guinea pig in this experiment.
Brian got the primal cuts, muscle beach smoothie (#summer2015 #getitright #getittight) and spinach and artichoke dip and was also #blessed to find an extra 3 musketeers bar in his dinner! Unfortunately, they did forget the corn chips for his spin art dip which would have been a major bummmmer for me personally.
I will update this review once I try it for myself. Let’s pray for #brian that he didn’t fail me miserably with this 4 star review!
