First time visit for physical with doctor Malachovsky. No wait, efficient and seems to be well organized. Friendly staff and doctor. Thorough exam. received bloodwork by email one day after appointment with comments. Seamless. Will definitely go back.

Dr. Malanchovsky is an extremely caring and thorough doctor. Booking an appointment is extremely easy as you can do it online, and he works at several office locations. His staff is very courteous and friendly and treat you with the best care. They follow-​up with you immediately with any test results and are available to discuss any concerns. I would highly recommend and am so glad that I found him.

Dr. Farber is a delight. She is knowledgeable and kind which is not always something that goes together. She immediately put me at ease and took great care of my daughter. I am very happy to have her as our pediatrician. I also really appreciated how friendly and organized the staff was. The online system is a huge plus!

The Team at Apple Pediatrics is best in class! We adore Dr. Farber and the Bodhi Medical Group has exceeded our expectations with our 2 year old twins. We began interviewing Doctors prior to their birth. Dr. Farber had us at hello. She has a kind, gentle approach and a warmth that shines through to her little patients. As a mother, it is always nice to be able to share a connection with another mother, especially one that is a Pediatrician. Dr. Farber shares her own experiences as a mother with her patients which is so important to me. We have been going to Apple Pediatrics/​Bodhi ever since my first child (I have two girls) was born in 2011. We see Dr Rebecca Farber, but have also been treated by all the other doctors in the practice. We love Dr Farber. She is smart, attentive, and caring. She always gives me time to chat with her about all my concerns and has never been rude, superior, or rushed.
Dr Farber is well read and gives very practical advice. Whenever I need her, she returns my call in a prompt manner. She even spaced out both daughters vaccine schedules with no issues and made me feel comfortable that she cares about parents opinions.
I don’t understand some of these strange reviews as we have received consistent care from her over 3 ½ years and have always been exceeding happy with Dr Farber’s services.
One note, the elevator has been out to the practice, which is in the basement, which necessitates using the service elevator in the building. While awkward, it is neither dingy nor scary. The space is very clean and well kept. I’m hoping the main elevator is repaired very soon.

Dr. Farber has been both my 3 year old and one year old’s pediatrician since birth and we make sure we see her every time we have to go to the doctor. My daughter loves seeing her and she has never kept us waiting and is always available with questions anytime of day. She is not only the most caring doctor but also has chlldren of her own. We feel so lucky to have found her from day one. Her office is warm, clean and her staff is professional. We have met the other doctors in the group and have been happy with them as well but we still favor Dr. Rebecca and look forward to every visit. She listens and understands my needs as a parent and my concerns about my children.
We have recommended her to all our friends and have been thanked many times. Thank you Dr. Farber for your wonderful care and amazing bedside manner and always being available.

We have been seeing Dr Farber since the time we were expecting our first son and interviewed a truck load of pediatricians — when my husband and i walked out of that meeting we both knew she was the one! As first-​time parents we had the same apprehensions regarding our child’s health as every other parent out there, but she held our hands through it all and guided us down the bumpy road called parenthood.
I don’t think i can explain how grateful we are to Dr Farber… at a simple visit when our son was 5 mo old, when we were just discussing the move to semi-​solids, she expressed her concerns regarding our son’s head circumference; even though he had no symptoms indicating any issues she made us schedule an ultrasound, two weeks out. To date I do not know what went off in her head that night, because she made us go in for that ultrasound the next day and even though that was the start of a terrible nightmare for us and our son, her early diagnosis made certain of the fact that this rare tumor that our son had, was caught early and removed successfully. All the subsequent doctors we have dealt with at Cornell Presbyterian and Sloan Kettering have explained to us what a difficult find that was — and had it progressed, our son would have been in excruciating pain. Even though for that one year we didn’t see her, she kept in touch via emails and text msgs.
She has always taken such good care of our son, through his delayed vaccination schedules and allergies, she takes her time to listen to my questions — even her recommendations for ENTs and Dentists are amazing. To top it off her office staff is very warm, professional and knowledgable and despite the fact my son has seen more than his fair share of doctors, he looks forward to the visits, shots and all
We are just so grateful to Dr Farber — she has seen us go through hell and back with not only the professionalism you expect from your doctor, but also patience and kindness — she has even gone out of her way making sure our previous experience didn’t leave us jaded with our second one on the way!
PS.she answers ALL my texts and emails in a very timely manner… and trust me, I’ve sent her more than my fair share of them

I took my daughter to see Dr. Farber last week and was just considering to post a «thank you» for her when i saw the two ridiculous and spiteful reviews from two «patients», I felt it not only necessary but my obligation to respond. Anyone with an axe to grind or of questionable mental health can write what they want with impunity and try to dirty someones character, especially when that person is a physician and prohibited from defending or responding by a host of ethical and legal (HIPAA) reasons. I’ve been taking my daughter to Dr. Farber since she was an infant. She is now 6 years old. I could not be happier. She is top notch. She is incredibly knowledgeable and also very approachable.
I have taken my daughter to see Dr. Farber at least several times a year for the past 6 years and each time (more then 20) Dr Farber and her staff have treated me with respect, courtesy and understanding, without exception. Even when the office is very busy, on those days that it seems every other kid in the city is sick and needs to be seen immediately, i am treated professionally and my daughter’s health is ALWAYS paramount. I have been in the office when it is crazy and though i may not get the chit chat that many of us enjoy i have never received or observed anyone else receive the ludicrously described behavior of the two «patients» I mentioned earlier.
It upsets me to read such displays of displaced anger towards someone so obviously caring as Dr. Farber. I sincerely hope that anyone reading those reviews will realize that such a characterization of so much wrong in a pediatric practice could not possibly be accurate and nothing more then the diatribe of people with more problems then a pediatrician could help. I am still taking my daughter to Dr. Farber because not only does my daughter like her and the overall doctor office «experience» but most importantly because I trust Dr. Farber and her staff with my daughters life.

My review is based on the pediatric side of the practice.
We chose Dr. Farber and her practice based on our research and recommendation from a friend of ours whose son is a patient. We interviewed plenty of candidates, but we felt her beliefs in her practice had matched ours and considering the fact that she has kids of her own, that she would take care of our child and other children as well as her own kids. The doctors at her practice all share her commitment to making sure your child is taken care of and you leave satisfactory of the diagnosis and issues that your child might be going through.
They offer a very convenient online scheduling system for all the doctors in the practice. You choose what you are going in for and select whichever doctor is available. Or you do have the option of phoning it in, but in this age of technology, easier is better, right? If you want Dr Farber specifically you can always call her or text her and ask her to squeeze you in. Speaking of that, she is always available to you with any questions you might have via phone or text. If you have questions about what your child might be experiencing just give her a text and she will get back to you as soon as she can. It isn’t a direct diagnosis but at least you might be able to calm your nerves as a first time parent or as an experienced one.
The practice also has two convenient locations in the city. One on the west side by the Time Warner Center and one on the east side on 72^nd street. Dr Farber is only on the west side on Fridays, but you don’t always have to go to her. The other doctors in her practice are just as good as she is. They are all very informative and provide you with an understanding of what your child might be experiencing. You might even get a printout of the issue so you could read further upon it.
I used to dislike going to the doctor when I was a child and sick because I was there for hours waiting for the doctor with all the other sick kids coughing. With their practice, you barely have to wait long, unless you have not pre checked in with your appointment. We usually get there early and within a couple of minutes we are sent to a room to wait for the doctor.
If you are a new parent or you want to look for a new doctor, I definitely recommend their practice. You take your child to the doctor to diagnose what might be wrong with your child, not what you want webmd to tell you what is wrong with your child.

I made Dr. Malachovsky my primary care physician several years ago. He always responds kindly, patiently and completely to my questions, yet he is efficient and keeps his appointments moving. I aspire to work as effectively as he does, without losing my connection to people. His is an example of great patient care. He tailors his treatment plans to the individual’s desires. For example, he knows I prefer a holistic approach, and he is completely supportive of my choices. Yet he discusses issues fully with me when they arise. It is wonderful to have a doctor I trust!

We’ve been going here since the birth of our first son (over three years ago). We love dr. Farber. This practice takes the time to answer every question. They are great at returning emails in a timely manner. They are incredibly supportive and professional. Would highly rec to anyone looking for a pedi. We go to their UES office, but their Columbus circle office is much brighter and roomier. Wish they could have an office like that on the UES!

We have been visiting Bodhi for 15 months and are very disappointed by Dr. Tamar Magnas and Bodhi. She left the Bodhi Medical a few weeks ago and we did not receive any notice and noticed after failing to make an appointment with her online. Regardless her reason with Bodhi, we didn’t feel respected at all. All we received is a couple of sorry in the office from a new Dr. Is that something both Dr. and the associate group should notify their patients and give them enough time to transfer smoothly? As for the services, Dr. Magnas is fine but not amazing. We never feel she gave us enough time to finish questions. I almost always had to chase her for questions while she was on her way out of door. She is not that kind of Dr sitting down and focusing on your questions. Her advice is confusing sometimes. i.e. I asked her when to start giving my daughter solid food? She told me to do not let her try until after 6 months, which was Xmas time last year. Then when I brought my daughter back to the office in early Jan, a week after Xmas, she asked me what have you been feeding her? Anyways, we are currently seeking other pediatrician and will not recommend them.

I just had my appointment with Dr. Malachovsky, and boy can I tell you that was the quickest lines of ‘wait’ ever. Literary, after I filled out my paperwork (which was electronic by the way, go innovation!) he was there to greet me. If you are expecting someone who is going to make a lot of small talk, he is not your doctor. Though very nice and attentive, he gets to the point and will TELL you what is wrong. The assistants at the front desks however are VERY friendly. Kudos to them. –1 star for being in the basement and small space.

I am reviewing the Apple Pediatrics practice, in particular Drs. Magnas and Varma.
Our family has been treated extremely well. Our infant daughter has seen both of these doctors and they have been nothing but professional, warm, understanding, easily accessible and thorough. The online system the practice uses for booking and confirming appointments is great. Also, the doctors are excellent at responding to non-​urgent questions and concerns via email (which was especially important for first time parents!) The on-​call phone number is a good option as well and no matter what time we called they were readily available to advise us.
Plus — there are two locations which means it was even more convenient depending on when we needed to see the doctor and where it worked best for us.
From the time they visited our baby in the hospital forward, it has been wonderful to have Apple Pediatrics responsible for her. We moved out of state so I can only hope we find the same level of care, professionalism and convenience we had at Apple.

Our primary pediatrician is Dr. Farber and we love her. We were all set to go to another office on the UWS when Dr. Farber checked on our newborn at the hospital and we have been seeing her ever since.
On the rare occasions when we had to make an unscheduled visit, the other doctors treated our child with equal importance.
For us the online appointment scheduling is ideal and Dr. Farber is prompt and professional in her responses to us when we were new parents and freaking out about something that ended up being minor.
She has sent us to some other children’s specialist that fits our insurance when necessary.
We are very pleased with her and highly recommend.

We love our doctors (Farber and Varma). They are thorough and kind and highly skilled. We highly recommend this practice.

I made an appoint ment here 3 weeks in advance to meet (maybe) my future pediatrician… I called two days before my appointment to confirm and they never had me scheduled… I thought it was strange but went ahead and made another appointment, when I got there, the receptionist didn’t have me in their system AGAIN and gave me a look like «are you sure you made an appointment» as if it was me.
My husband and I both took off work that day. Sorry, but we were not off to a good start. I will be looking around the upper east side reliable practices.

I was able to get a next-​day early morning appointment with no problem. Dr. Malachovsky is attentive, thorough and kind. Marcia in the office is very welcoming and friendly. I’m so happy to have found this place!

We went for a talk with Dr. Varma and were extremely happy and pleased with her. She makes you feel very warm and welcoming, she answers all your questions and she doesn’t make you look like an idiot and doesn’t have any arrogant attitude. The office staff is nice and polite and we didn’t have to wait to see the doctor. She is easily reached via phone or email in case of emergency.
I would recommend this place to any parents.

I went to Bodhi Medical group in UES for a check up and a few other things.
She spends more than enough time with me listening to my concerns and giving me advices.
Whenever I have questions, she is always available via email and she would responds in the same day.
She is very empathic and tries her best to figure out the best solution for her patient.
She is a very lovely doctor. I would definitely recommend her.
