This is our go-to playground even though we live a few miles away. Even though this isn’t a «destination playground», there’s a few things make this playground great for us: 1. Our son loves sandboxes, and this sandbox is huge and contains climbing equipment inside the sandbox. 2. There are donated toys to play with already in the playground, so you don’t need to bring anything. 3. There are lots of kids to play with even when the weather isn’t perfect. You’ll find kids here even when other playgrounds are empty. 4. A lot of families in the area only have 1 child and the kids here seem super comfortable with meeting and playing with new friends instead of staying within groups of siblings. Our son ALWAYS meets a new friend to play with when we visit this playground.

INFESTED, I mean infested with mice! I sat in the park for 5 minutes and saw15−20 mice in that short time. The park is adjacent to Magnolia Bakery and they get tons of traffic and trash from the bakery that the rodents are feeding on. It’s absolutely disgusting and gross to see, especially at dusk. Needs to be cleaned up pronto.

This place is such a great park for kids! It’s got water features, sand, swings, two giant play places. The community also donates lots of old toys and bikes. The only thing wrong with this park is that it tends to get pretty dirty. The trash cans constantly get overfilled, so there tends to be a lot of trash around on the ground. It makes sense, since it’s in a busy area of Manhattan. The kids definitely have a lot of fun here. I’d love it if they added a couple more swings. There’s only 4! There are public restrooms here as well, but I have not yet ventured inside. At some point I’m sure I’ll have to… Eeek!
