SAVED THE DAY. Let me preface this by saying I know nothing about flowers. I was tasked with getting a flower arrangement for a company party later that night and I only had 30 minutes.
The man working there was quick to help me. I picked out a square vase and some white hydrangeas. He arranged them to look really full with green leaves interspersed. He packaged them up nicely with clear cellophane to ensure they wouldn’t spill as I walked back to 36^th street. Everything was moderately priced. At $ 87 for two arrangements (on the fly) I was pretty impressed.
Moment of truth: Everyone in the office loved them!

I worked with Bill just a few days before my wedding. I walked in and showed him a few photos of what I had in mind and he quickly knew what I wanted and made suggestions within my budget. He was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We placed the order and a few days later a friend picked up our arrangements. It was all perfect! Beautiful! Simple and elegant just like we wanted. I ordered flowers from Bills for a work party and could not have been happier. The guys there were so helpful, worked with me to stay within my (small) budget, and the flowers were gorgeous! I’ll definitely be going to Bill’s the next time I need flowers!

I can’t say enough good things about Bill’s Flower Market. Earlier this year, I started using them for special events at work. Their arrangements are always beautiful, reasonably priced and they are extremely dependable. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, they can also offer you great suggestions.
I love their work so much, I used them for my wedding flowers and I could not have been more pleased. They are truly amazing and I am so happy that I found them!

I used Bill’s for a work project and called to inquire about vases. I could tell from the background noise it was busy in the shop, but the man on the phone was nothing but polite, friendly, and thorough in answering every question I had. He made recommendations that fit every price range for which I was looking. Absolutely wonderful service, excellent prices, and you can tell they value their customers. There is a reason this family-​owned business has been a mainstay. I will be using Bill’s Flower Market again in the future.

Every time I go to this store the entire staff is beyond helpful. I just placed a call to them and They were also helpful. Usually these kind of businesses tend to rush you off the phone if you have too many inquires. They answered every question I asked.

Good selection of basic vases and decorations and potting supplies. Friendly stuff and very helpful. I needed a plain tall cylinder vase to put inside a big decorative vase and Bill’s was the only place I could find it at given that I was looking for specific dimensions.
This is a family owned business which is always nice to see succeed. The only drawback is the early closing hours (5 or 6 pm).

I used Bill’s for some center pieces for a dinner. I was really impressed by the level of service and knowledge. As soon as I told them the size of vases, types of flowers, and budget they were able to quickly draw me a picture of what the centerpiece would look like and how many of each flower would be included to fit within my budget. The restaurant I was having my flowers delivered to was very specific with loading dock directions and even required a preclearance password but there was absolutely no problem with the delivery. The delivery was only $ 25 on a Saturday for 4 centerpieces and the actual cost of the centerpieces was below what other florists were quoting me. I think since they were a bit cheaper the flowers were a little smaller, but still very elegantly arranged and beautiful. The flowers were super fresh at the event and lasted over a week when I brought them home.

Family owned and operated since 1936, Bill’s is one of Manhattan’s oldest florist shops and is among the most visible in the Flower District. They specialize in wholesale flowers and florist supplies, just perfect for the flower store owner or the flower shopping customer.
Where most specialize in simply flowers, Bill’s goes one step further in featuring different types of vases, candles, and various decorations like ribbons or baskets. Customer service has been superb here and quite knowledgeable as well. I feel very comfortable in explaining to them my flower needs and going with some pretty astute recommendations.
The store isn’t too big and their hours are limited till 6PM daily (5PM on the weekends). This place gets busy during the lunch hour /​afternoon, so be sure to call ahead of time to check inventory availability or to arrange for a pick up.
