Love this location because I have always found what I am looking for, no matter how random of an item I need. Definitely check out the clearance section for decent deals.

UPDATE: 11÷11÷15 — So I am very happy to say that Big Apple Futon customer service was very quick to respond and remedy my problem. I reported that my bed frame was broken. However, that was NOT the case. When the futon man came out, he saw that I had it turned BACKWARDS! Yes, that was MY FAULT. Yikes. Still, because the frame had a chip on it, he replaced it with a brand new one. I will definitely buy from this store again because management was very responsive. They quickly answered my calls, they sent a repairman out to my home quickly, and gave excellent service. Great job guys!

I purchased a Natuzzi sectional that I saw in other stores for $ 5200 for a holiday deal of $ 3000.
The salesperson Zaf was very helpful and patient with me while I was looking through there wide selection of leather samples, I saw natural leather and treated leather before coming to this store I didn’t know the difference. Zaf took the time to explain all my options. Im so exited, I love getting deals.

Purchased very nice orange sofa at I guess OK price, store is not big, but good selection of things you need to furnish small NYC apartment

Horrible experience/​customer service. I called ahead and asked, «do you have futon covers in stock at your store today for me to purchase.» I was told «yes.» I did this in order to save me a trip because the store is out of the way for me.
I go there (today, a Friday) and find out that they don’t have futon covers in stock and that they have them in their warehouse and cannot get one until Monday the earliest. Speciality ones won’t be available until Wednesday.
I told the store owner that’s why I called ahead because I needed it to today and would have went somewhere else. He began to argue with me, saying that’s not what I said over the phone. I told him I know exactly what I said. Who argues with a customer.
Terrible experience, not worth our time nor money.

I ordered a captain’s bed which was delivered a couple of weeks after, However the bed delivered was not ok. Seemed to be containing old and new parts. I complained and Big Apple Futon accepted to pick up the bed and deliver a new bed, which looked new and nice. So 4 stars for good service!

We wanted a good quality bed to go with our new mattress. Although you don’t actually see the bed itself in the showroom (because it’s relatively tiny. I think it’s really just for show. Most of their business is on the phone or the internet).
I would advise looking thru the website first before going into the showroom and knowing exactly what you want already to have them set up the payment and delivery. The prices online that you find will definitely be a little cheaper than the store prices too, and they honor the cheaper prices.
These guys mean business. If you walk into the showroom, don’t expect to be hounded. They let you browse the entire store even before getting greeted, which is FINE BY ME.
Advice: Ask for a discount if you plan on paying for your purchase by CASH. It works all the time from our experience, and it most of the time will save you on at least tax.
We paid for the bed at the store, but delivery is paid upon arrival. It is technically «FREE» delivery if you want it delivered to your front stoop or first floor. It’s sort of like a free ikea drop off service, and you are expected to set up the bed on your own.
If you pay for the premium delivery, two guys come into your house and install the bed for you. We went this route. It took them 20 minutes, I’m certain it would have taken me at least 20 years (I am not so fond of assembling furniture myself). The only downside is that they do it so quickly, you don’t really have a chance to «learn how to unscrew it» if you decide to move out of your apartment someday. We definitely do, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
They left the instructions at least.
Funny thing is we weren’t home to accept delivery when the guys came (Because I had written it in my calendar wrong), but they came back the next day without a hitch or a complaint.
Great place to purchase furniture if you know for sure what you are going to get! They have several names they go by. My best advice is to do a google search for the address of the place, and you’ll see that they have several names. :) Enjoy.

I bought a beautiful livingroom sofa sectional with a pair of bar stools. Great product at a reasonable price. However dounle check their delivery time. They came an hour late that’s why 4 stars and not a perfect score.

One star is a GIFT. Worst customer service experience ever. Make sure you look up their website prices before you decide to go into their retail store and are offered their «deal.» First they delivered the wrong mattress. I called to speak to the manager and was told that he «doesn’t speak to people.» Upon further investigation the online price was $ 180.00 below the «great deal» that Carlos was so «generous» to offer me. A «free» mattress cover was also offered to me — only problem… it too was the wrong size. I tried dealing with both the merchant and having my credit card deal with the price gouging but even the copy of their written reply to my credit card was filled with half-​truths and outright lies. Do yourselves a favor — stick to somewhere more reputable like Ikea or spend the extra to get something nicer from Crate & Barrel… or Kmart for that matter. I always try to support local business, but not ones who are dishonest with their customers.

after 2 weeks of searching every furniture store in Manhattan, AND every furniture store online that delivers, this is where it’s at.
I’ll make this very simple to understand. Great showroom (although small), very helpful sales staff that don’t «sell» you anything, and the best prices you can find. FREE delivery. I’ll say that again, free delivery. and they’ll set everything up for you for $ 50.
I got a $ 600 bed (that’s a good price I found at numerous stores) for 450 delivered. I would recommend anyone that wants good quality (non-​ikea) furniture for the cheapest price possible, go here. that is all.
Only reason it’s not a five star is that their showroom is relatively small and doesn’t have nearly the merchandise they have on their website. but it’s ok, it’s quality stuff. I picked my bed out of a catalogue without ever seeing it.

We were not really impressed with the furniture or customer service. We walked in and walked around for 10 minutes before anyone said a word to us. We finally asked a question about a sofa, and then got some attention. This store makes lower priced knockoffs of some higher end pieces– like Ligne Roset’s Togo Sofa. Anyways, they offered to order us a sofa by mail, as they did not have what we liked it stock, we had to explain that we really needed to sit down on a sofa and see if it’s comfortable first– seems like a basic thing! The Shop was a very unmemorable experience.

Bought a high-​quality wood frame queen-​sized futon from this store. Danny helped me out, and he was very courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. Got a great rate on the futon and am very happy with it – I’ve been using it for two weeks now.
Delivery was complimentary for me, which was great. Only problem was that they only had complimentary delivery Monday-​Friday.
I’d recommend Danny and this store to my friends, and I’d go back myself.

Love this store. The have an excellent website and prices are a virtual steal. Got a platform bed (solid hardwood with wood slats) for about $ 250 DELIVERED (fast delivery too). For the same amount you can basically get the worst laminate creaky-​will-​last-​about-​one-​year-​before-​it-​falls-​apart-​and-​expect-​to-​fall-​on-​your-​ass-​when-​the-​slats-​give-​out-​on-​your-​cheap-​but-​you-​still-​paid-​to-​much-​for-​IKEA-​bed. Plus IKEA has no free delivery. So for the money you really can’t do better. The showroom is a little on the small side but I have a feeling its literally just for «show» and the vast majority of their business is done online. Wish I would have had more money to spend at the time but I certainly will go back for more. This is my furniture store in Manhattan! Quality — backed up with friendly service :)
P. S. this place just moved locations and the name is a bit different. It is known as Door to Door Furnishings now. That is what the sign outside says but they run 2 websites … doortodoor and

horrible! Sent me a broken futon.. when I called them they said they would return my call with a new frame pieces and after not getting a call for two weeks I called back. They said they would do nothing for me. Very disappointed

All I can say is that these people know what they are talking about. I went to a couple of other furniture stores and they were constantly pressuring me and they did not even want to explain simple things to me only wanting to close the deal as soon as possible. I went to BA style furniture and the salesman was so friendly, there was no pressure and he actually HELPED me rather than just trying to force the sale on me. This place is number one in service and did I mention really nice furniture.

Pretty freaking awesome. So I get online to one of their many websites and find this sofa futon for CHEAP (like…$ 200 less than another website). Then I go to the store in person and find out it’s $ 20 less in the store. Rock on!
Free curbside delivery of futons anywhere in the five boroughs. Some of their stuff online has free shipping anywhere in the US. Note that for the futons it’s curbside delivery. The cost to have my sofa brought up five flights of narrow stairs: $ 55. WELL WORTH IT in my eyes. AND they delivered it the next day.
The location is a total dive — hole in the wall, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it (well, as hole in the wall as a furniture place can be considering there is a score of futons within). Pottery Barn this is not. However, the dude in the store was nice and the futon is sturdy and pretty awesome considering the price. Hooray for online bargain hunting and inexpensive furniture places!
