Best Barber Shop

Just moved to the neighborhood. I was looking for somewhere near to go to for the next year. The haircut looks good in the shop but after I wash my hair I found it a bit uneven. I guess you can not ask for much for $ 14 cut before tip.

I go here during my lunch hour and these guys do a great job. I never have to wait, they inspect every angle of to ensure they didn’t miss a spot or make sure everything is even… and the price is only $ 14. What more can you ask for?

I was in NYC for a week, and needed a haircut, and even though I generally cut my own hair when I’m at home, I wanted a NYC barber shop experience, so I went to Best Barber Shop based on the previous review. The location was convenient, and I didn’t have to wait for a barber (4:30 PM on a Monday).
I like to keep my hair cut short, in a style closely resembling a flat top, which is generally pretty easy to cut (I cut it myself at home every other week). The barber was friendly, and seemed to understand what I wanted. He seemed meticulous when cutting my hair, so I expected a pretty good result.
However, the final result was less than satisfactory. When I got back to my hotel, I noticed several uneven spots, so I’m kind of torn — do I try and fix it myself, or do I find a different barber shop to see if they can fix it?
Overall, the shop itself was fine, and the other guys who were in there seemed to leave with a pretty decent haircut. The price was right ($ 14, before tip), but I’m not happy with the actual haircut.

just moved to new york and was in dire need of a haircut. i wasn’t sure where to go and found this place in the financial district where i work.
my dad was a barber and when i get my hair cut, it has got to be old school. it has got to be cut by a guy wearing a smock, that guy has to ask me if i want the back squared or faded out, there’s got to be an old leather barber chair involved, there’s got to be that jar of the blue stuff hanging around somewhere, and i’m not paying more than $ 20 for it.
for $ 14 i got a damn good haircut, better than the ones i used to get in baltimore that cost $ 16. the guys in the place were quick and efficient, there was not a lot of small talk or extraneous b.s., and i didn’t have to wait. the guy didn’t try to push some styling crap on me. best of all, they do the old school neck shave with a straight razor.
also, they share a storefront with a business that does shoe repair/​fixes watches/​and makes keys, which was awesome because i actually needed to have some keys made. so in one stop i got my hair right, got some spare keys for my new apartment, and now i know where to go to get my watch batteries changed. this place rules.
