Specialties

Berimbau Do Brasil serves a variety of authentic Brazilian food in an intimate, understated setting. The exposed brick, subtle lighting and joyful Brazilian music create a warm atmosphere. This cozy neighborhood gem offers a diverse menu of flavorful, elegantly plated traditional Brazilian dishes.

Among the house favorites are our famous baked to order homemade Pao de Queijo (Cheese bread), the Coxinha, a traditional chicken croquette and the Moqueca a Baiana, a brazilian seafood dish of Mahi– Mahi, Shrimp and Calamari in a coconut and palm oil broth, cooked and served at a clay pot with garlic rice and dende farofa and as dessert the must have Brigadeiro

As you enter, you are greeted by the aromas of Brazilian spices radiating from the open kitchen. The staff is welcoming and professional, adding sincere hospitality to the delicious offerings and vibrant locale.

Meet the Business Owner

Mario D.

Business Owner

Mario has been in the restaurant industry for over 5 years. He is very passionate about his culture and food has always been one of the most fascinating definitions of culture. Although he’s been living in NY for over 10 years, he could never be without his Brazilian food. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find an authentic Brazilian restaurant that matched in good food and great ambiance, so he set out to open Berimbau. He enjoys serving the public at Berimbau Do Brasil where authenticity is the driving force of the business. Mario hopes to provide you with such a positive experience that you’ll remember to return to Berimbau whenever you’re hungry for a satisfying meal!
