I have to say I love this place so much and have been here so many times, however, the prices keep hiking and it wasn’t as good as it used to be. How the hell is a veggie burrito still like $ 14?! It’s not a fancy place. I’m sure their rents skyrocketed, but it’s a bit insane. My second gripe is now if you get the ‘mini’ burrito with a side salad instead of a normal burrito, they’re basically the same fricking size! The only thing that makes up for it is the $ 8 for a tall margarita.

You must try the Bulldogs. No more than 2. We once had 3 each and the next morning was tough. Burritos are where it’s at. Great lunch delivery special as well.

Per usual, I had a good time here. This is the third time I’ve been to this location(sister property of Blockheads). Same amazing drinks and same food. My only real peeve with the Blockheads brand is the lack of variety on their menus. It’s easy to get the exact same thing, or slight variation of what you normally get, when yo come here. The drinks are amazing! $ 6 for a small frozen margarita plus $ 1 with an added flavor. A large runs at $ 8 plus $ 1 for a flavor, which they have a lot to choose from. I honestly believe the awesome margaritas are what keep the franchise running. We came during the brunch hour on a Saturday(Brunch on the weekends is 11am-5pm), where all meals include a lunch size margarita(usually $ 3) for a total of $ 11.95. I had the rice and beans with melted jack cheese and a passion fruit lunch size margarita. The meal was pretty delicious. The waitress was attentive and did not rush us out. Always a plus when you are comfortable and have a lot to catch up on with friends. This is my go-to place when I want a good cheaply priced drink and a San-Francisco style meal to supplement it. I’ll surely be back soon :)

2 words: cheap margaritas! You can never go wrong with their $ 5 regular frozen margs. Their chicken quesadillas are out of this world too. It can get very packed on weekend nights. The bar area is pretty small so it can get crammed which is the only negative.

Really great burrito and good chips and salsa. Friendly service, well for New York, good prices(won’t break you) and good food! My only complaint is that the side of extra guacamole($ 2) is like thimble sized! But, fresh and tasty

I’ve been here for lunch and have to say I loved my burrito. However I got the lunch special with a mini burrito(which by the way isn’t very mini at all) but my gripe is that they charge you the same price but give you some salad to make up for it. The lunch special also comes with chips and salsa but I think next time I would skip the special and get the burrito by itself. I like that they have options to have your burrito with whole wheat tortilla and brown rice — I got both with chicken and black beans and cheese and it was so worth it. I would definitely go back and try some other things on the menu like quesadillas or enchiladas.

Excellent spot for quick and relatively inexpensive(depending on what you get) Mexican food in a casual, fun setting. Conveniently located right on Greenwich Ave! It gets pretty crowded pretty quickly(jt’s also not a large place), but there is a fun bar towards the back where you can hang out and get cheap, strong margaritas! Service is pretty standard, nothing special. I loved the mushroom burrito. And the guac was delicious!

Yuuuuuuuum! We spent a fun, well-fed New Year’s Eve here last night. So very glad that we did! It’s been ages since we ate here last. Fast forward to last night when we made the resolution to get back to Benny’s more often. Food was SO good, service was great and atmosphere, well, classic Benny’s. Delicious!

The God of Mexican food has spoken to me… in the form of a burrito bowl, an insanely alcoholic drink named Perro puertorriqueño, and a DANG good salsa. I was never a fan of Mexican food(it was okay but not my go-to comfort food, something I rarely crave), but this place is a game changer! Everything about this place is the absolute Mexican perfection! The décor, the vibe, the service, the food(OMG, THEFOOD!!!) and the draaanks! Nachos were standard but their salsa is out of this world! Best salsa I’ve ever had, ever. For the entrée, I ordered a steak and mushroom burrito bowl(they don’t have the burrito bowl option on the menu, but you can ask!), the steak could’ve been more rare, it was a little too well done to me but still didn’t lessen the overall amazing taste of it! The drink, granted that I’m a petite person, weigh a little under 100lbs and thus am highly susceptible to alcoholic drinks(aka. cheap drunk), they ain’t playin’ with the dranks! A friend of mine who a). can drink(7 beers and a few shots a night), and b). introduced me to this place, told me he usually ordered two drinks max and he’s done. Prices aren’t expensive either! This is the best Mexican place I’ve ever gone to and will be coming back soon!

Hey Benny’s… Love your food but tell me… I live on 6th Ave adn 9th Street… just south of your location… Why did the delivery person go ALLTHEWAY to 18th St and 8th Ave before heading to me? I hope my food’s not cold. And yes… my food arrived cold. The delivery person refused to bring it into the building and to my apartment — he didn’t have a lock for his bike. We have nothing but issues with Über delivery. I strongly suggest you either screen them better or stop using them.

Toasty and warm inside on a cool winter day! The burrito was stuffed full and will satisfy even the hungriest customer. Friendly service and a great meal deal for under 10 bucks. The bathroom has the smallest door I’ve seen in New York. Neighborhood and local feel, and I enjoyed the experience.

I must say, I’ve never had a margarita until I came here — and now, it’s my new go-to drink! I guess it’s not my place to say whether or not they were actually the best margaritas made, right? Either way, it has me hooked! The food was good, as well as the service. And PRICES!(That’s always a big factor to me) The only thing I didn’t like about this place, the bathroom was pretty disgusting, and the place is tiny. I came with a group of 10, not near enough space for us — but somehow they made it work.

I was visiting my cousin in NY and while he was in class, I met up with an old classmate who had relocated to NY also. We decided to take a walking tour of Chelsea, The Village, and other neighborhoods. We stopped at this quirky little shop that had little tables and according to my friend, «THEBESTQUESADILLAS». I was getting hungry due to all the walking and I never say no to quesadillas, it was time to see if east coast Mexican food could measure up to LA. The service was prompt and we were seated by a large window facing the street. We each got a mixed drink and a quesadilla, which doesn’t sound like a lot but believe me these things were HUGE and mmm mmm delicious! I will say though, that west coast salsa is still leaps and bounds better. We each could only eat half our quesadillas and took the rest to go. Very pleasant dining experience even if it was a bit pricey(~$ 50 for 2 quesadillas and 2 drinks) but this is NY and I was expecting that from reading other Unilocal reviews of just about every other restaurant in Chelsea/The Village.

Oh my God. You guys. This place is AMAZING. So it’s a little hole in the wall in the Village and I adore it entirely. I went here after my internship meeting with a friend since she suggested it and I was highly OK with this. First of all, $ 5 frozen margaritas. They packed a giant punch to say the least. I got a regular lime one and it was so delicious and refreshing on this hot September day. After 3 of them I was delirious to say the least. As for the food, I had the nachos grande and they were delicious. There must’ve been a whole avocado baked into it because there was SOMUCH guacamole! It was covered in that, beans, cheese, and peppers. It was delicious and definitely a nice snack to have when you’re 3 margaritas in. Overall, I adored this little place. It was seat yourself kinda deal and the place was very cute. The servers were very friendly and struck up conversation with us. Definitely a spot to check out.

Came here because we were in the area with a couple of hours of downtime and a craving for frozen margaritas on a hot summer day, and this place definitely hit the spot! Our server made a couple of mistakes with our orders(giving us the smaller size when we asked for the larger one, for example), but she was super sweet and pleasant. We tried 6 of the frozen drinks between 2 of us and they were all delicious. The flavors clearly come from syrup that they pour into the cup and add the frozen margarita mix too, but a good stir balanced the super sweet fruit flavor with the slight bitterness of the tequila. I was especially happy that there were complimentary chips and salsa, because I’m not sure I would’ve been able to make it back home otherwise.

What do I like about Benny’s Burritos? Is it their large selection of vegan options — right down to cheese, sour cream and tofu? Is it their freaking RIDICULOUS happy hour which includes 3 $ margaritas(approx 8oz), 5 $(approx 12oz), 7-ish$ for a glass that will probably make you die? Definitely a culmination of the aforementioned things. Don’t get me wrong, it is not a fancy place — probably not a place to bring a first date, but an outing with friends or a solid girlfriend? Benny will hook you up and leave you crawling toward the closest subway station. (Note: I *think* they offer free chips and salsa with meals, but to be honest after the second 8 $ margarita [poured to the rim in a large water glass] it’s all a blur of Daiya cheese and marinated tofu inhalation.)

Soy un admirador y es una pena que no había sido aquí más temprano. Los burritos son muy delicioso y grande. Las bebidas están bien pero un poco caro.
