BBFS is a NYSDEC registered, licensed and insured Containment Fumigation Company specializing in the 100% effective extermination of bed bugs, bed bug eggs, clothes moths, wood boring beetles, carpet beetles, cockroaches, termites, rats and mice. This is achieved during fumigation service of a rental truck, moving company truck, chamber/​container, customer vehicle or freestanding structure of residential or commercial service. The 100% effective elimination is accomplished by holding VIKANE gas in the contained area for the specified dosage of gas penetrating through all content killing the target pest and their eggs. There is NO resistance by the specified pests to VIKANE gas. Containment fumigation is safe for all furniture, clothing, bedding, rugs, electronics, artwork, antiques and children’s items. VIKANE gas does not bond, stick or leave any residual on the contents. It is orderless, will not stain and completely disperses from the contained area at the completion of process BBFS fumigates with VIKANE gas by Douglas Products.

History

Established in 2006.

While visiting family in 2005 BBFS founder Gary Geiger read about the growing bed bug problem in the NYC area. The article discussed the bugs resistance to many treatment types, but more importantly the inability of the treatments to kill the bed bug eggs. With years of pest management experience and as a Dow AgoSciences certified «CTE» Vikane fumigation specialist, he immediately recognized that the bed bugs and their eggs would have no resistance to Vikane gas.

In 2006 Gary created Bed Bug Fumigation Specialists (BBFS) and began fumigating moving trucks, rental trucks, containers/​chambers homes and freestanding structures in the NY/​NJ/​CT area.

Since 2006 BBFS has performed several thousand successful containment fumigation services.

BBFS strongly believes in the Integrated Pest Management «IPM» philosophy and works closely with licensed and certified pest control, moving, canine companies and bed bug prep companies in the NY/​NJ/​CT/​PA area…

Do yourself a favor– call bed bug fumigators and they will take care of you and get rid of your bugs. He returned every phone call and email knowing that we were very worried and couldn’t sleep.
We had bed bugs and Andy and his team fumigated all of our old furniture and records while we had our apartment heat treated. He connected us to great movers and everything was taken care of. Thank you BBFS!

This is the only sure, one stop shop to get rid of all the bedbugs+eggs in all your clothes, furniture, matress and electronics overnight. Literally.
I have used Andy ‘s services twice now and it has been a godsend. The first was about three years ago when I was leaving an infestated apartment. Management wouldn’t do anything so I call Andy and loaded everything into the truck. Drop it off and the next day everything is killed. The eggs, everything. It is very satisfying unpacking and finding dead bugs.
Then a few months ago I found myself in the same situation and I immedeatly called Andy. He is attentive, compassionate and readily available to answer any and all questions.
This is the only way to KNOW everything is taken care of.

Wow is all I can say.
After dealing with BBs for almost a year, we decided we had two options: throw out all of our things and buy all new things, or fumigate with Vikane gas. After doing research on Vikane and the two companies that perform the fumigation in NY, we decided on BBFS. I called and spoke directly with Andy. He not only told us what to do (how to pack, what could be fumigated, etc) but he gave us several options for movers (++ choose your own!) and a K9 inspection team.
Leading up to the fumigation, Andy was available for my paranoid questions (ha) minor freak outs (haha) and random emails (I really hate these bugs). Although I never met him in person, he was friendly, efficient on the phone and accessible.
Granted, we are early to determine if this was a full on victory — however — there is a 90 day guarantee that if we have bugs again, we will be refumigated for free. (Since we got the K9 inspection… SO WORTH THE PIECE OF MIND!) Andy’s knowledge, calming personality/​demeanor and excellent customer service helped us through an extremely stressful time.
As the other poster mentioned… the paranoia is starting to go away, very slowly. I really hope I never have to talk to Andy again-​but if you need fumigation and want to deal with professionals all the way, BBFS is the way to go.

Used these guys from NYC to get all my belongings fumigated moving from my old place where I had found the pests to my new place. Their prices are comparable with the similar services I found but the movers they used were a bit cheaper than the competition. Still though, the movers they partner with in my area, JD Shipping and Storage, were pretty expensive but very flexible.
I had to put my stuff in storage for a week while I waited to get it inspected again before my roommates would let me move in. JD was super nice but all in all, between the fumigation, move, storage, move and two inspections I spent way too much money on what should not be such a costly problem.
The paranoia is finally starting to abate but I don’t know if I’ll ever be rid of it completely. Still, fumigation seems like to most surefire way to kill any and all pests in your belongings. I didn’t have to throw anything away except for some food.
