I’m Thai and it’s my favorite little market that has imported Thai snacks and frozen foods that I can get when I miss home or having a Thai dinner party!

This little store has everything you may need to cook Thai food. Came here to pick up red curry paste. The girl who helped me was very nice and gave me tips on how to cook it the authentic Thai way. I also bought sticky rice and kaffir lime leaves and she was helpful in explaining how I can cook and store it. I will definitely be back when I need to cook any more Thai dishes.

You can find almost anything from produce to special Thai sauces and seasoning. My favorite here is durian dessert that is in freezer section. Also tried the sweet bean dessert.

This is a great place to get many authentic ingredients for Thai and Vietnamese food at an inexpensive price. I was able to find thai basil, glass noodle(mung bean) and fish sauce to my phở at home. I saw many other items that I do not normally see at a typical Chinese market.

I struggled to find pandan in Manhattan and when I finally search up Thai supermarkets I was instantly relieved. They have all your Thai cooking ingredients and snacks!!! I needed pandan for a dessert that I was making for thanksgiving. I went crazy and bought fresh/frozen pandan and two kinds of pandan extract! Hehe I also bought some snacks and well as their frozen desserts to steam at home. For produce I did see some fresh turmeric as well as other great stuff for some old fashion Thai curry!

Living in Harlem I don’t have any Asian grocery stores to choose from. Thankfully the express train takes me straight to Chinatown. Bangkok grocery almost has everything I need to make my dishes. I’m just glad that they sell my favorite Thai sauces and brands!

I searched all over NYC for kafir lime and they had it!!! They had everything I needed to make pad Thai. I couldn’t find kefir lime leaves and galangal and they had it there! The prices are very good. You can definitely stop here for all things Thai.

Really wanted three things. Glass noodles, Thai Chili Paste and some Spicy peppers. Found all three very quickly and was super happy about it. Not sure why glass noodles aren’t more popular, because they kick fucking ass. It’s a small place, but they have anything you could need. I also ended up buying Siracha there since it was $ 2 less than Stop and Shop. Couldn’t have asked for much more there.

Great selection of fresh and otherwise Thai ingredients. Small store, but seems to have most things you’d like to find to make an excellent meal at home. I came for the green papaya. They were around $ 5 each, so not as low as other veg vendors in chinatown, but it was exactly what I wanted and needed.

Somehow, they manage to pack an incredible variety into a tiny space. There is so much to choose from. The owners are super friendly and willing to give you any advice you might need. It’s a cheap, one-stop-shop that actually makes cooking Thai food somewhat easy!(Just mix curry paste and coconut milk!) Come, try it out, chat with the owners!

My go-to for all Thai or SE Asian ingredients. Especially love the fresh lime leaf and basil– this is not easy to find in NY, even in Chinatown! The owner is super friendly and helpful, he even suggested some items I hadn’t thought of that were fun to incorporate in to my cooking. An extra thumbs up for the very reasonable prices.

Thai food, to me, is hands down some of the best food I’ve yet to eat, but when visions of pad thai or green curry are dancing in your head, trying to find all of the ingredients to recreate these dishes is about as difficult as taking a trip to Thailand itself, but luckily there’s Bangkok Center Grocery to come to the rescue. Stationed on an unassuming block that could easily be mistaken for some sort of alleyway is where you’ll find BKC. It is small, but don’t let its size fool you because they certainly do pack a lot in here. The shelves are lined with row after row of amazing Thai delicacies like shrimp paste, ramen noodles that I haven’t seen since my trip to Thailand last year, both Thai and holy basil, dried red chilies, curry paste and so much more. They even have an awesome refrigerated section where you’ll find things like green papaya, galangal, lemongrass, kafir lime leaves, and red and green chilies. It’s so easy to get lost amongst the shelves, and if you’re not careful you could easily end up buying more than you intended because there is so much amazing stuff, but the prices are great so hopefully you won’t make too much of a dent in your wallet. Also, everyone that I’ve met that works here is wonderfully kind and helpful, and if you ever have any questions about how to make a certain Thai dish they’re more than willing to offer suggestions. It’s a great little store with lots to offer, so I definitely suggest taking a trip out here the next time you need to get your Thai food fix.

Damn, I just got back from Thailand and well, I left my heart there. So, I bring myself here on Saturday afternoon and greeted very nicely. I was looking for ingredients to make mango and sticky rice, yea, I am addicted. The guy at the counter was super nice and told me to get the sticky rice, it is was $ 3.50 for 2.5 pounds of sticky(glutinous) rice. I also bought a small container of coconut milk and also a package of sweet and sour seedless tamarind. The store is small, but it has all the necessary staples. All different styles of noodles, so you can make your pad thai or whatever. They also carry fresh Thai basal, galangal, kaffir limes, ginger. All the necessary spices to make Thai food taste right. They also carry Thai tea and coffee, many different varieties. Check out this place, you won’t be disappointed. Keeps me dreaming of Ko Phi Phi.

Found this while desperately googling«where to buy lemongrass and coconut palm sugar» and THIS place saved my life(and recipe plans). I got EVERYTHING I needed for my thai cocount shrimp soup and let me tell you, it has since become a regular dish at home. This is definitely a go-to spot if you’re making anything Asian-inspired. The gentleman behind the counter was so attentive, and asked me what I was making, and made recipe suggestions. So nice! Will definitely be back =)

Found this shop through Google and while I was in the area from NJ and I stopped in. They had everything I needed and then some. The male clerk was SUPER helpful unlike my local Asian market where they are all nasty. He noticed we picked up a block of Palm sugar and took it upon himself to walk over a suggest an easier already ground version. He did this without us even asking for help. Prices seem very good too! Got a bunch of fresh ingredients, some dry ingredients and a bunch of siracha and chili paste’s all for $ 30! Everytime I am in the area I will be stopping by!

Great place to get some local groceries that specialize in Thai and Maylasian spices and sauces. This is my main place to get ingredients when I’m cooking some Thai/Malaysian inspired dishes. Staff is nice and sometimes share tips and recipes. I won’t be surprised if one of theses sauces become hyped and popular like Siracha.

For folks on the hunt for SE Asian products, this is one of the better places to shop at in the city. Not everyone has the luxury of living in Woodside /Elmhurst /Flushing for places like this hidden gem, neighboring the infamous Fried Dumpling( ) on Mosco Street. Similarly to its hole in the wall neighbors, Bangkok Center Grocery is a small grocery store but its packed with all sorts of stuff that is not always available in the nearby Asian markets. The place is rarely ever crowded due to its location and closes pretty early daily(usually around 8pm and 6pm in the middle of the week). I’ve managed to find some varieties of fish sauce, along with a beefed up production of Sriracha products(garlic flavor anyone?). They have a small selection of fresh produce and just about anything from assorted curry powder to pastes of all kinds(bean, seafood, etc.). It’s conceivable you’d find most of this stuff at larger places, but for a dedicated Thai market it doesn’t get much more concentrated. The people who manage the joint are friendly and the prices are solid for the city. Most folks who haven’t ventured here yet and feel like experimenting or recreating their favorite SE Asian dishes, owe it themselves to explore one of Mosco’s best(and only) businesses.
