Established in 2007.
Dr. Perna began practicing in midtown Manhattan in 2003. In 2007 the office moved to a different floor in the 133 E58th building to allow for expansion. Dr. Perna has received multiple board certifications since he began practicing over 10 years ago including, NCV/EMG, Active Release Technique (full body), Graston, Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Manipulation Under Anesthesia, and most recently he became a Board Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner.

Business Owner
Dr. David Perna is the chiropractor for Back and Body Medical. He attended Life University in Marietta, GA, graduating Summa Cum Laude as a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic 2002. Dr. Perna graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University in 1997, where he was on the Deans List and participated in a physical therapy internship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (affiliated with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). He completed internships at JFK Medical Center in N.J., the John F. Kennedy Hartwyck Nursing and Convalescent Rehabilitation Centers, and the John F. Kennedy Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, where he focused on work-related injuries. In 2007, David obtained post-graduate certification to perform Nerve Conduction Velocity tests (NCV) and Electromyography (EMG), and in 2010 became certified in ART (Active Release Technique). He is also Board certified to adjust extremities and a Board Certified Sports Practitioner.
