A guy there with a curly fade fro avoid him at all cost. He will tell you a sneaker is not available when it really is. He simply forgot to check and when approached about whether the store had the sneaker or not he said no. I then asked a female at the store who was able to assist.
The sneaker selection is above average.

Friendly, chill staff during my visit to NY this past weekend with a good selection of shoes and clothing as well. Picked up some Air Max 1s and another pair of Nikes, and some Staple & Undftd gear. Like I’ve said in past reviews, the absence of snobby streetwear staff is a virtue. Thx, atmos, for the uncommon hospitality. I’ll be coming back to Harlem on my next visit. :)

The store is nice but staff and mangers are people that think that just because they work in a sneaker store they are important. Atmos almost created a riot with the new sneaker release YEEZY2. They had a twitter release in which they would tweet where to go to get a wristbands. They tweeted this knowing that there were about 200 people in the area for the shoes. People ran, drove or walked for almost a half mile to get the ticket. The ass manager name is Chris short heavyset spanish guy called texted his friends first and they were there before the message was out. Someone got stabbed because of running through projects that were not theirs and my little bro almost was hit by a car. Even with all the Chaos caused by the store they tweeted they were had no my bands. The following day on release day they sold some pairs then the same manager came out pulled people in that he knew personally and sold more pairs to his friends even though people were out there for days. Store is very corrupt and most of their sneakers you can cop across the street at champs or house of hoops. When questions where asked and they received bad comments from me they blocked me on twitter but still follow me to see what I say

I read many good things about this store and thought it was cool that it’s a Japanese owned store in NYC. Do not waste your time going all the way to Harlem for this store. The selection and staff is disappointing.

In store experience:
Came here when it first opened up.
125 was booming, mad Japs and hippies started taking over the area.
Decent selection from AF1-​Jordans.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
Online experience:
I ordered some limited edition items from Tokyo, and the items were shipped ASAP.
Very good to deal with.
Right now they got the World Basketball Jordan pop-​up shop happening.
Definitely worth a stop to check out the powdered blue Jordans.

This place had all the hype. I read an article about this place in Complex Magazine when I first moved to NYC. I had to check it out. I was a little disappointed on the selection of sneakers they had. To be honest I only saw about 20 or less styles. Hopefully they get more in. When I walked in no one greeted or asked if I needed assistance. They were just leaning against the wall and talking… They did have some cool clothing. I give them 3 stars for the sleek design of the place.

Went to Atmos in Harlem a couple of weeks ago. Seems to be like many other sneaker boutiques I’ve been to before — clean interior with a narrow selection of product and an affected staff. After reading about it, I expected a bit more. Don’t feel a need to visit there again when I’m NYC.

Nice kicks, not as impressive as Flight Club and Goliath RF in Harlem, but nice place for kicks and clothing. They have a good selection of clothing, too… especially Stussy. Love it!

I’m reviewing the Atmos in Harajuku, and I just can’t think of a better customer service experience than the one I had at Atmos.
So I’m making my daily rounds on the blogs and I just see a New Era I absolutely had to have. Took the train to Harajuku, and sure enough the fitted was to go on sale on Saturday (it was Tuesday when I had stopped in, and I was leaving Japan on a Friday morning). Mentally, I had already taken the loss here, but for whatever reason the staff asked about when me and my boy were leaving Japan. After they had found out we’d be leaving before the hat was to be sold, they told me to come back on the next day to pick it up, and sure enough they came through.
I understand how the streetwear purveyors work, and I know that exclusivity is absolutely key in building a sought out brand. For the folks at Atmos to hook me up before a scheduled release date is freaking king-​sized. A huge shout out to Sato and the cute ass girl rockin’ the nasty Air Terra Humaras. I’m forever indebted.

I used to look at the kids at my high school and wonder to myself what the big deal was with any pair of shoe that cost more than 25 bucks.
Fast forward about 10 years and I’m actually holding a pair of shoes that one of my former classmates may have actually worn.
What kind of time warp is this?!
Well I’m happy to report that while I still can’t believe I own «cool kids» sneakers, I still know how to find a bargain.
My highlighter colored Nike Air Max sneaks are extra fly and I only paid 60 bucks for shoes that used to cost about 30 percent more than that.
Now something I apparently sacrifice patronizing this establishment is service. I had to find an employee. And as I walked toward the counter with my desired shoe, the shoe attendant was summoned from trying on the merchandise he was supposed to be selling.
He asked, «What size?» I said «9.5.»
He handed me the shoe back and said that it was a 9.5. One shoe. One. Have you ever gone into a shoe store and in good conscience tried on just one shoe? One?
I thought so.
So I asked for the match and he said, «oh is one of your feet bigger than the other?»
WHAT DOES IT MATTER?! I ASKED FOR THE MATCH! NOT THE THIRD DEGREE!
«Yeah.»
I left my raggedy chucks in the trash can outside the store and wore my highlighters out of the store, 5-​year-​old-​fresh-​from-​a-​trip-​to-​Payless style.
Extra star for the ATMOSphere. Love it.

They carry Porter, Pegleg NYC, Nike, Adidas, New Balance and their in-​house brand, Atmos. This Japanese retailer only has the one location in NYC which should be expanded to a location on the West Coast… cough cough SF.
Located near the Apollo Theater and close to House of Hoops in the heart of Harlem. Hop off at the A train by subway.

wide selection of kicks… too bad its located all the way in harlem. its a fun journey up there, you can even walk by the Apollo theater. kind of a snobby staff though. based from harajuku japan, this store branched out over here in the US, making their mark in NY. they have a lot of bapes and nike dunks/​sbs, and some adidas. yet another sneakerfreak boutique, definitely worth checking out.
