Specialties
apple seeds is a 15,000 square foot, all-in-one play space for families with children newborn to five. We have an indoor playground designed by well known children’s museum designers, over 100 classes a week — from art, to music classes like songs for seeds and Music Together, to cooking, science, construction, ballet, tap, movement, gym, soccer and language. We host weekday and weekend birthday parties, have an award winning day camp, a kids hair salon, a boutique/bookstore and café. We strive every moment of every day to be a safe, clean, fun place for our community to gather, socialize and play.
History
Established in 2007.
We are Alison and Allison.
We both live in the Chelsea/Madison Square Park neighborhood. We both have twins. We met in a Music Together class and helped each other squeeze our double-wide strollers into a very narrow elevator. Despite the tremendous influx of young families to our neighborhood in the past few years, we struggled to find an indoor locale where we could take our kids to play or eat or just hang out together.
So we — along with our husbands Craig and Bobby — created apple seeds.
Our name reflects the city in which we live as well as a belief we hold true. We believe that if you plant a seed and tend to it, incredible things can grow. At apple seeds, we hope to help your little ones blossom and plant the seeds that encourage us all to give back to the city that we love and the world we live in.
