Terribly horrible service. A very rude woman named Jessica did my manicure. She was totally uninterested in doing the manicure. I had asked for a ten minute massage and when I asked her to spray the massage chair where I put my face just to give it a quick clean, she literally huffed and puffed and said «I just don’t like when customer ask me too many questions.»
Whoa!
Had to get the manager involved — another lady gave me the massage.
Won’t ever go back & will tell all my friends in the neighborhood about the terrible experience.
It’s a hospitality job. At the very least, don’t be mean and nasty!

I’ve been here a few times now, with ok results. After the last time though, I don’t think I’ll be back. I’m not a picky person by any means, but the ladies here always rush through, barely taking an hour for a gel mani and regular pedi. She went so fast that she nipped part of my cuticle on my toe. Hurting to the point that the day after I had to put a bandaid on it and couldn’t wear sandles because it would scrape against the skin. That should not happen! She barely apologized for it.
Instead of filing my nail, she was also filing my skin on the toes, and I could here some lady next to me saying the same thing to her technician. There are plenty of technicians here standing around so there is no reason why they should be rushing through to get to the next person. My fingernail was also filed jagged!
Take time with each customer. All I’m asking is that you don’t injure people as you’re working on them!

Never again will I go here. These employees are RUDE and not helpful. I needed to quickly find a place to do my pedicure. Nobody greets you when you come in. They will look at you and say nothing. No one gets up to assist you.. You literally have to walk up to someone and tell them what you want. They ask you what you want and then tell you «Pick color and go sit down». There’s no one at a station waiting for you so I guess you just choose a seat and wait. I did a pedicure, it looked pretty messy and my big toes nails were not shaped the same as the rest. All the workers talked loudly across the room to one another and it kind of makes you feel like they’re talking about you. But whatever. My pedicure was $ 26. A $ 1 extra for quick dry. But when I left after drying, one of my toes messed up right away so I came back and the person that helped me, fixed it fine. Then told me «Go over there. Take your stuff» Indicating that I go to the dryer station. I’ve just had better service. On top of that, I was interested in getting tips for my fingernails but decided not to because 1) bad service and 2) $ 70!!! Go down to 42^nd between 2^nd and 3^rd Ave. A nice spot with Mon-​Wed mani/​pedi specials for $ 22. And tips are 43. You’re welcome.

This is my second time to visit the place. The service deteriorated a lot. Very poor customer service. The employees were very rude and unfriendly. Since I entered the shop, the employees kept talking among themselves while providing service. They simply did not focus on what they were doing. And of course, their load voice also meant that you could not even take a short break in a relaxing environment. The pedi water was not warm at all. The cleaning was not done properly, even after I highlighted that problematic areas. I will not go back again and I do not recommend it to anyone neither.

hOrrible pedicure, to fast water ice cold ladies in shop talking nonstop and loud not comfortable at all

I was in a pinch today because I broke a tip and wanted my whole set removed (I wanted them removed prior to that but it was literally the straw that broke the camel’s back).
Anywho, I came upon this place and Amanda immediately went to work. I also got a regular manicure with a hardening base coat and quick dry top coat. I paid $ 24 for everything (cash discount). They had me in and out in an hour (I was on my lunch break), and they were very friendly. The place is also very clean. I would definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area.

Every time that I went to Manhattan I’m going to this pretty place ‘Angie Nails and Spa’ all the employees are so nice with their client and do a great job.
I do my nails 1/​week and the result is perfect all the time!
Today, I did eyelashes extensions and I’m really surprise of the result, that’s really really good! It’s just hurt a little but it’s because it was my first time and because your eyes stay close a lot of time during the «operation»

Rarely do you find people this unfriendly. The pedi water was freezing. I asked 3 times to heat it up. Technician left to answer her phone and do other tasks during treatment. Maybe that’s just New York but I don’t recommend.

I am staying at a local hotel and this place was recommended for a pedicure. Ivy did a great job. Only issue I had was when it came time to pay. I gave her a 15% tip (which I do as a minimum for all pedicures no matter what) and she told me normally tips are 15−20%. I added a few more dollars but base my tips on service provided not the going rate. Did get a discount for paying with cash!

Very clean shop, great upkeep. Great prices. Not so great customer service.
I paid $ 50 for a gel polish manicure and a regular pedicure (Sunday deal, normally $ 60). Both services were perfectly fine, you get what you pay for. I was a walk-​in and seen immediately at around 1:30PM on Sunday, July 12^th.
Monica did my toes and the entire service from start to finish was maybe 15 minutes. I had polish on my skin and she scoffed when I asked to have it removed. Upon paying, I «tried» to tip $ 10, rounding out my bill to $ 60. Normally I would do more, but I’m not doing to tip really well for a service that I’m less than happy with. I was asked three times by Monica if that’s all I’m going to tip her. I said I was sorry, but this wasn’t the best service so that is all I am comfortable with. Upon running my credit card and returning it to me, it was literally thrown at me. I laughed out loud at what just happened. Monica actually had the audacity to throw it at me because I tipped her $ 5 for a simple 15 minute pedicure that didn’t even involve lotion.
So out the door, I ended up paying the $ 60. I received a gel polish manicure and a very basic pedicure. No true complaints for the actual nail work as I just got solid colors.
I will happily come back, but I will just ask for someone else than Monica. Simple as that! All the other ladies were very friendly and welcoming. But great overall shop.

Clean surroundings. Basic. The woman that did my Mani /​Pedi her name was Ivy. She was not trying to do more than what I paid for. She didn’t even give me the quick two minute foot massage they give you during a regular pedicure. No real complaint though. I would go back again. Basic Mani Pedi was $ 36.50…oh wait a minute I did notice at the end of my services that they don’t wash the dish they soak your hands in for a manicure. They just rinse it with water and put it in the drying rack to be used again for the next customer. Smh.

Awful experience — pedicure. She was rude and rushed me. Angry that I didn’t have cash. Sorry that I didn’t get her name as the other ladies seemed much better.

Thank you Angie’s for saving me from the attitude across the street! Angie’s has a clear pricing menu so you don’t feel cheated. Their ladies also speak English very well so they can understand what you are looking for. I wanted to file my own nails and they were fine with it. So I really appreciate their work! You may pay a little more than across the street but it’s worth the drama free experience!

I love Angie’s Spa. Very clean and no fuss– but they don’t speed you through services either. Angie herself did my manicure and I have to say, it looks really great. I didn’t even know about this place until I found them through

Angie Nails is great. You’ll notice if you’re in the area that there are 2 other nail salons in the area — Hana and Nail Xpressions. I always choose Angie — it’s clean and the ladies are really friendly! Some places rush through you and your mani pedi is usually more of a pain than a relaxing experience, but this is not the case at Angie Nails. The girls do a great job and I always go back! They are especially great at gel manicures, although I haven’t asked for a design — if you want a single color, it’s a great! They also have a great selection /​mix of brands for nailpolish colors if you are not getting gel.

I went in here after a somewhat rough «vacation» week, finally some time for me to relax. I received a so so pedicure and manicure. Nice paint job received the star. Was cajoled into a 10 minute massage which a 5 year old could have done better. My problem is when I gave her a $ 7 tip on $ 49 service she picked it up and said «we usually get 15−20%.» Are you kidding me? First of all that is 15% and the tip is what I decide, it’s what we decide, people! So this was after the mani and before the lame «massage». I was so offended it ruined my whole relaxation experience. I have never written a review before and I’m thinking of taking this complaint further. I am in the service industry and would never behave in this way, it is an illegal business practice. Thanks a lot Angie nails

Awesome pedicures! A must every month — the foot & leg massage alone is worth the visit!

Terrible!
I tried Angie Nail on a pure lunchtime whim and it was so BAD I had to review it to warn others!
I will start with the positive, the pedicure chairs seem newish and the place is clean. There are also tons of magazines.
My pedicure was way below average. Each part of the process was extremely lacking. My pedicurist barely cut, scrubbed or even buffed my nails. She pumiced each foot for about 5 seconds; I find this totally unacceptable for a $ 26 pedicure!
She barely pushed the cuticles back and cut them! I asked her to pumice my big toe and she did for 2 seconds and seemed annoyed I asked her to do this. She was much more interested in her personal conversation than my pedicure. She applied cream below the knee and weakly touched the skin. This can only be described a touching it was not a «massage» at all.
She went through all the motions of a pedicure…but it was not a good pedicure or a relaxing pedicure and it was NOT cheap!
Overall I thought the employees seemed unwelcoming and rude and it felt like they could care less if customers where in there or not!
I hate when I try to treat myself and this happens!

What else is a girl to do before going to a Broadway play? Get that pedicure feeling!
I randomly walked in here and asked for a standard, no frills pedicure, and at $ 25, I thought, ehh why not? The place was SPOTLESS, inviting, and quiet enough for me to want to close my eyes and daydream if I wanted to.
Be sure to ask about prices if they ask if you want a massage during your pedicure! It’s an extra $ 12, and if you want the fast drying clear topical coat, it’s $ 2 (I just said yes to this and saw the charge later on my receipt).
I would definitely come back and maybe splurge on a European Pedicure or one of their other specialty treatments that sound incredibly blissful! Rock on Angie!
