Also felt as did someone else here, comparing his experience with Amnet to that of going to a mechanic; but then again that’s exactly what they are, really good mechanics. Brought in a Sony Vaio purchased in 2001 to have the video board replaced. Prices might have been on the high side, but then again this laptop has sentimental value, hey after 10 years, it still runs well. It was my first Sony laptop.

I think the reviews here are representative of their desired customer base — you lost your thesis or your baby pictures, and you’ll pay anything to get them back and be tremendously grateful. I took a 2.5 year old PC in for repair. The motherboard had gotten damaged and needed to be replaced. They quoted me 250 in parts alone, I said no thanks and bought an identical part for 70 dollars on . Their prices for labor are fair, and they’re very polite while they rip you off. This is one step away from a car mechanic charging you for atomizing treatment. Additionally, I got my PC back home and found out that they lost the screws to the case and the wire protective grill that goes in front. They told me they tested the graphics cards and that they were fine, but they’re clearly not, and also need to be replaced. I can only imagine what they would have tried to charge me for that(brand new ones are $ 25 on ebay — again, 2.5 year old technology is *cheap*).

When the screen on my laptop monitor went suddenly and horrifyingly dark, I came here and they went way above and beyond the call of duty. At first, they said the repair would cost around 200 bucks for parts and labor, and it would take two days. Then, they ended up doing a bunch more work and putting in more new parts than they said that they would, but they still stuck to their originial price, and they had it done within 24 hours. Slick! I’m sure Amnet is not the cheapest deal in town, but I’m very satisfied with their work. If you need your pc fixed well and quickly and don’t care too much about spending some extra dimes, I definitely recommend popping over to Amnet.
