After being a customer for many years, this outfit just tried to double-​talk my 93 year old mother into upgrading to so-​called «digital» equipment that is not necessary, does not do anything different or better, but was more expensive.
When called out on it, they claimed ignorance, that they were told the «new equipment» (which is not new, just a different version of what she has) was necessary. So I guess they want me to believe that they don’t understand their own equipment?
It took me 3 phone calls to get through to have them remove the additional charges. They did not want the «new digital» equipment returned, just thrown out!
As far as I’m concerned, this is freud and I’ll contact the NYS Attorney General about it. Further, they are not trustworthy and we will probably be cancelling our service with them and going to a different vendor.
