They have a huge selection of machines at this location, and decent monthly package prices if you’re interested in that. The staff is always very nice. This location also participated in SpotOn, so you can check in every time you go there, and after 10 check ins you can tan on any machine you want, which I think is a plus.

I frequent various salons around the Kings Highway, Sheepshead Bay area and must say I had a great experience at Alaskan. The assortment of machines is impressive and the staff is the best. Namely this one girl Diana is very helpful and knowledgeable about the products, lamps and tanning machines. Her friendly energetic attitude made me feel welcomed and the advice on lotions was very helpful as well. All in all great service along with a affordable price makes this place a complete A+

This place has been around for decades.
I don’t go tanning much but when I do I would say 75 percent of the time I find myself here. Ive owned a few tanning salons out of state so I know a bit about the business. Their biggest flaw is the scheme with the light bulbs. About rotating them and not switching all the bulbs. Its ok its part of the game. Their bulbs and machines (which have not been updated in years) are still above the industry average.
The girls are for the most part on the nice side. I think I will continue giving them my once in a blue tanning session business.

Been going here for 5 years (mostly during the summer to build a base tan and get rid of tan lines). They often have really good deals, so make sure to ask. The prices as well as packages in comparison to other salons are more adorable (based on my experience).
Sometimes the machines undergo maintenance which can suck, especially if you have ½ go-​to’ sand they are not working :(
Most of the girls are also very friendly and knowledgable.

I been going to this salon for a year, the place itself is dingy but they do have some good machines. The matrix in room 5 is the best machine to use in addition to the Saturn and ergoline 600. The rest are ok. I truly believe these bulbs don’t ever get changed because if you’re not spending money on the lotions and higher machines you’re considered to be on welfare and most likely will need to come consistently to build a tan. Lauren was always helpful and bubbly she’s no longer there which if the blonde girl Stephanie wasn’t there either I probably wouldn’t go to this location because the rest of the staff are airheads and are not informative nor trying to give you any good deal. The parking is terrible on the week days. Overall if you can afford this luxury and are willing to spend money and don’t care about customer service then this place is fine for you.

Idk why this Alaskan Sun location has never been reviewed or even put up on Unilocal maybe because most of it’s customers are fobby Russians lol I just went today for the first time I’ve been to other tanning salons but this place has a very friendly and helpful staff. The girl who helped me was Lauren at the front she was very accommodating and helpful! The place was really clean and welcoming unlike other places I’ve been to the staff have been indifferent and not very thorough in their explanations of their tanning beds and prices. I will be back to this location
