I have been going to Dr Jamieson for several months and though I’ve missed appointments, they’ve proven to be flexible and professional. No problems with my insurance either. So I changed my regular doctor & my dermatologist to the Ageonics Office as well.

It’s a shame that the negative reviews from people who went to a Physical Therapy office looking for a spa massage after purchasing a website deal bring the rating of this place down.
I originally found Dr Jamieson & co while searching for a chiropractor in-​network near my home. I was slightly hesitant after reading reviews but decided to try it out anyway as I was in pain and leaving for a trip 2 days later. I was impressed right off the bat by the women at the front desk who were friendly and knowledgeable. After a short wait (about 10 mins), I was seen by the PT assistant who was SO sweet as she asked me what was going on and started treatment on me. By the time I saw Dr Jamieson, who respected that I didn’t want to be adjusted since my back was in such spasm, I was already feeling better. I came back the next day and saw the actual PT who is a miracle worker.
Aegonics Medical is now my go-​to spot for all-​things pain management and likely a one-​stop shop for most people that have the pleasure of being a patient at this facility. I would recommend Dr Jamieson & the staff at Ageonics without hesitation!

I moved to NYC a little while ago and have been trying to find a good chiropractor up here since i moved. I saw a few different doctors that were just awful. I was lucky enough to find Dr. Jamieson through a friend. My first appt. was long and very informative. He actually took the time to explain what was going on. His office staff is nice and the office is clean.

Was introduced to Ageonics via a Groupon 6 months ago. However, I have been back without a groupon because the services they provide for their botox and fillers was great. They have wonderful, pleasant staff. THere’s hardly any waiting to see the doc. I was happy with the services that i’ve come back 2 times. Also, I recently recommended Dr. Jonnie to a friend of mine. Please be advised however if you plan to return make the next appt before you leave. It’s difficult to get an appointment. I would go back and recommend this place without hesitation.

This is my second visit now for Botox. My first visit was with a groupon and i was happy with the service and results, I returned. Staff helpful and friendly. They give you a topical anesthetic to apply. I found Dr Jonnie very knowledgeable. She does not rush and discusses at length the look you wish to achieve. Very nice lady. A great find.

Very professional and friendly staff. Dr. Jameson understood my sports related injury and recommended the precise treatment that helped me to resolve it previously. No wacko testing, guessing, just therapy. I recommend without hesitation!

TERRIBLE! Got a groupon for Botox. Doctor who did it looked like Botox gone awry, place was cheap looking. The worst part is the «botox» probably wasn’t Botox. After 6 weeks my «11’s» in between my eyes reappeared. 3 other times its lasted 5 months. Don’t go here.

HORRIBLE visit. I got a massage off lifebooker, and boy was that a mistake.
— When calling for an appointment, the earliest they gave me was 6 months away.
— When I came in, I was informed (not asked) that the masseuse’s assistant would be watching.
— The masseuse then proceeded to teach the assistant using my back. Not only was the assistant TERRIBLE, the masseuse kept telling her to take over so my massage was awful.
— The masseuse and assistant spent the whole massage chit chatting over me, comparing where they went to school and jobs they had. Helloooo, shut up! This is supposed to be a relaxing massage.
— The room is freezing, and you’re not covered with a towel or anything. So you just lie there, exposed and freezing.
— Oh, my voucher was supposed to come with a «Chiropractic Evaluation.» What a joke. The chiropracter came in, handed me a card, and said that I should come back if I have back pain. As if I’d ever step foot there again.
Bad bad bad. Just save yourself the time and money and dont go.

Not only is Jonnie board certified in family medicine she is absolutely hysterical and a woman who takes great pride and care in what she does.
Granted it took a while to get an appointment which upset me initially but now I understand why. She is the greatest!!! So happy I was patient and found her. She even gave me her cell phone number in case I needed her. Who does that??? She does!!!

So I read the reviews before I went to this. It was pretty mixed, so I decided to give it a shot. Now, 4 months later, I’m writing my first review on Unilocal.I’m hoping this will help people like me who couldn’t figure out which of the many mixed reviews to listen to. I went for the chiropractor service — so I’m only commenting on that aspect.
Pros:
1. The staff are really friendly. I’ve never had any problems with them, and it’s really easy for me to call up and move my appointment around to fit my schedule. My co-​worker also used to go here and he would simply walk in whenever he wanted and they would fit him in.
2. Dr. Jamieson is nice, and I do think he knows what he’s talking about.
3. They cut your co-​pay down.
Cons:
1. There is no follow-​up on anything. When I went for my consultation, the doctor took an x-​ray of my lower back and showed me the various crooked vertebra, and even knew why my heart often feels weird (I’ve been through all the various heart tests, so it was a nerve thing). My heart has gotten somewhat better over the treatment, so I do give him that. However, at this consultation I was told that it would be 10 weeks, 2x a week, and then after that I would be done and could just continue working out at home. They also promised me a second xray at the end of the 10 weeks to make sure the treatment worked. Well, sometime last month I went back and counted how many weeks I had been going, and it was like 14 weeks. There was no mention of a second xray, or the end of my treatment.
2. I went in complaining of mainly lower back, with a little neck and shoulder pain. They ended up treating my neck and shoulder almost exclusively, tending to forget about my lower back. I don’t really understand how a doctor can forget to treat the thing I was originally complaining about — especially give that he had an xray of my lower back and it is clearly not straight.
3. They are constantly trying to subject me to nerve tests. No one EVER discusses the results of these tests with me, other than the nerve doctor saying vaguely that «everything looks good.» At one point, Jamieson asked me to come back in because they wanted to make sure that the nerve damage had been corrected. What nerve damage? As far as I was ever told, stuff looked fine. I’m pretty sure he was just making crap up. My co-​worker has actually asked for the results of the test, but Dr. Jamieson continues to put off answering the question.
4. When I stopped showing up for treatment, Dr. Jamieson actually called me — sorry, but it’s really annoying that I basically had to break up with my chiropractor. I told him that I agreed to 10 weeks and then we’ve gone way past that and that I really didn’t feel as though I was getting anything out of continued treatment. He started talking to me about how the PT woman probably needed to start doing some strength exercises, so when I came back, that’s what they would do. First off, this wasn’t part of the original deal. And second, shouldn’t you KNOW that anyway? Isn’t it, as the doctor, your job to monitor my treatment and progress it as necessary? Needless to say, I won’t be going in.
5. As if all that wasn’t enough, the claims on my insurance are ridiculous. Again, my co-​worker has a friend who works in another chiropractors office, and he asked her about the charges. For the simple electric relaxer treatment (I don’t know what it’s really called), my insurance claims have «bone/​muscle surgery.» My co-worker’s friend has told him that that is a completely bogus claim, as all insurance companies have an option for this electric treatment. There are all sorts of other claims as well that I really don’t believe are at all accurate. To be perfectly honest, even if everything else about this place was fantastic, I wouldn’t go back because of this. It’s clear they just want to make money, and don’t care about my health at all.
Overall, this really isn’t worth your time. Some people seem to have good experiences, but I think ultimately you can find a much better service somewhere else.

I got a lifebooker deal here and I just feel like it was a ploy to bring in some business and to get their contact on file. The place was pretty ordinary and constructed like a doctor’s office. I had gotten a massage here for I thought for 50 minutes but it was more like 40 minutes. The massage therapist got lazy towards the last 15 minutes and just kept stroking my back without any pressure. It was only a back massage too, and not full body. I wasn’t pleased with the service since it wasn’t what I expected. The doctor also came in and spoke with me for a few minutes and told me the kinds of services they have here and to told me to come back since I had circled «back pain» on my intake sheet. I can’t vouch for the efficacy of their chiropractor or physical therapy services, but the way they do business here is a bit sketch.

I’ve never had a problem. The staff are always polite and professional. Dr. Jameson is great and goes over everything with you in detail so you know exactly what is going on.

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE!!! The review below about people having insurance problems are correct because that is what most of my friends had issues with this place. I personally bought a groupon deal and could never booked an appointmenet. Tried to book something and availabilities are months later. And when it finally happened and the appointment was all messed up with the time and I was told WHEN I GOT THERE that I would not get my consultation because they had me down for another time (which was a mistake from their part!). Seriously, tell people on the phone clearly everything they need to know and not when they get there; and they claim that because they *THOUGHT* you should know all these things already. and when YOU make a mistake, you should apologize instead of making all these excuses and try to justify your wrongdoing. The office manager Raymola Naraine is very unprofessional! she just acts like she doesn’t care because you are groupon deal customer. Staff are just unprofessonal — when you are not clear about something, do not assume, ASK! anyway, such a waste of time. Wasting money is one thing (paid and never get my appointment), but people are busy and times are valuable! I pretty much have given up on this place and will not try to schedule anything. Going back and forth to schedule and all will just be a waste of time.
I signed up for a Unilocal account to write this review just because people need to know about bad business practice. I do not think they deserve even one star, not sure why places like this can stay in business seriously.

Went with a Dealfinder massage. Getting an appointment for the massage took forever. They also called and reschedules twice because the massage therapist wasn’t there (so they change their clients schedule on whether or not the massage person is willing to work?). When I got there the service was sterile and impersonal. Dr Jamison seems like a nice robot. Yes robot because when he was giving me my prognosis he sounded like he was reciting a sales pitch from memory. Robotically so. Then his staff kept pushing me to give them my insurance info for my ‘next visit’. Well dear people your sales pitch is just too aggressive and kind of creepy between your doctor and your admin staff, why would I ever want to come back?
The massage was average at best. The massage girl was ok although used way too much oil and gave me a light massage even when I mentioned that she could go harder. The massage room has this leather table with no cloth on it which raises the question, how exactly they clean it especially when they have clients back to back? They didn’t even put some paper on it. They gave me a paper robe (yes you read that right PAPER ROBE) that I wore during my massage. I doubt that protected the table. plus made me feel cheap and uncomfortable
All in all it’s not an experience I would recommend to anyone. Stay away waste of money

Website hours are not accurate. Told me on the phone today that they close at 5, not 7:30, and are not open Saturdays. Contacting Lifebooker for a refund.

Perhaps they read this review… Because when I went in there, the front desk people nicely shooed me away, saying that all of my insurance stuff had been taken care of!
I can now fully commit to how much I like this place.

I have only been here twice, but so far I REALLY like this place! Dr. Jamieson and the entire staff are warm, friendly and quite knowledgeable. I has a massage two days ago, and my first chiropractic appointment along with physical therapy today. I am working on a lower back and shoulder issue causing some nerve pain. They have given me great advice about how to help correct my posture. The adjustment was great, as was the electrical current therapy. The prices fit within my VERY limited budget, since I self-​pay. Dr. Jamieson even BAKED for the holiday to welcome his patients today! Seriously, cookies, a pie, brownies, cake. He did it all himself! He seems to care for his patients holistic well being. I am looking forward to continuing treatment here!

I wanted to find a Chiropractor in the city because the ones around my house are never open by time I get home. When I called, the girls at the front desk are really nice, and helped me make an appt. with ease (I get turned off when the first people you talk to from the office are snotty). I have been getting lower back pain forever and it started acting up again. Dr. J was great, all my kinks were worked out and he also made suggestions about my daily routine and what I can do to avoid pain. He was actually concerned about my back and made me feel comfortable. It wasn’t just the usual «what’s wrong today» question. The office is clean and everyone is helpful, you don’t feel like you’ve been waiting forever — usually the case at every Dr.‘s office. In the end, I walked in with pain and walked out like I was walking on clouds, I’ll be making Dr. J my regular chiropractor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jamieson’s for almost a year, and, I’m happy to say, he defied all my expectations of chiropractic… boy have I been to some wackos before.
Dr. Jamieson is also a certified nutritionist and has given me helpful advice to get my triglycerides down, unlike most of aforementioned wackos… one chiropractor once tried to convince me that putting a packet of sugar against my chest weakened all my muscles!
In his new office, Dr. J has managed to surround himself with a very intelligent physical therapist, helpful office staff, and a primary care doctor who is in twice a week, Dr. Rachinow. She’s a character, but she has never once tried to push pills on me. That is so uncommon in New York as to be unbelievable.
My experience with all of them has been above average, and I think what I like most is that they all have excellent communication skills. And I’m not one of those anti-​immigration people who condescendingly yells «speak english!» at foreigners. I mean, everyone at this office actually listens and responds directly to what my problem or question is instead of taking the one word they heard me say and using it to segue into one of their pet theories.
If you are like me and don’t want to bounce around the city to find a physical therapist, chiropractor, and primary care doctor, I would recommend this office.
I will add a fifth star to this review in 3 months if all keeps going as well as it has been so far in the new office.

Secret tip… ask about the skincare system. It’s to die for!
