When looking for doctors you need to shop around — especially when you have crappy insurance with a high deductible. I walked in and the receptionist told me I had to front $ 100 even though they accepted all types of Aetna(to her knowledge). The previous doctor wanted $ 100 straight up because they only accepted Aetna«HMO or PPO» but not«HSA»(HSA isn’t even a type of Aetna, but apparently I had«NAP»). Fact is receptionists are ignorant and the doctors who instruct them to take money from patients aren’t any better. A good doctor shouldn’t be theivin from patients. A good doctor would stretch the truth a bit on your insurance if they needed more cash because damn it, the working class pays Premiums. I shrugged and took my money back. More research needed to be done and later I found a doctor who didn’t take a dime from me.
