I received my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University. I began my work as a counselor by providing at-home therapy to the retired men while volunteering at Hudson Guild (Naturally Occuring Retirement Community). Afterwards, I worked at a clinic providing counseling to individuals with various problems such as panic attacks, phobias, depression, general anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, anger, PTSD, and schizophrenia. During that time, I also completed 3 years of advanced training in psychotherapy (Gestalt). Finally, I worked as a family therapist utilizing the Functional Family Therapy model. As a family therapist, I helped parents and their children resolve conflicts over drug use, poor school attendance, physical and verbal conflicts, and other risky behaviors.
