History
Established in 2011.
Founded in 2011 by Jamal Motlagh and Charles Tse, Acustom Apparel set out to change how you shop for clothing. Traditional retail is a quick process, but a perfect fit is near impossible, whereas the perfect fit with custom clothing is time-consuming and not always accessible. Thus, Acustom created Digital Bespoke-merging the best of both worlds.
Digital Bespoke is the brains behind Acustom’s operation. Created by co-founder, Charles Tse, Acustom’s Digital Bespoke algorithms factor in the precise 3D measurements as well as the customer’s fit preferences to create perfect-fitting clothing. One scan is all you need, since Acustom’s algorithms take care of the rest.
2013 was a big year for Acustom. They restructured to an exclusively men’s brand, launched a bunch of new products (including custom-fit jeans), and opened up their first retail store. E-commerce is the next major step, where returning-customers will be able to order clothing online-all with a guaranteed perfect fit.

The idea behind Acustom Apparel came while Jamal was studying at Harvard Business School. Jamal began to question, «Why aren’t we able to be customize our clothing in both fit and style?» As a tall man with a strong sense of personal style, Jamal wanted a better way.
«I was shocked that with today’s technology there wasn’t an affordable way to get custom clothing. That is why I started Acustom Apparel»
