This review is based on the service I was provided by Soraya Selles and her team members Amet and Monti. As hesitant as I was in going through a broker Soraya was so patient and quick. I am a very picky person and she was able to show me as many apt’s at one time to ensure my time was not wasted.
Soraya showed me everything in my budget and never once pressured me into any not thing. Her attitude allowed me to trust her as I had worked with other brokers who were just horrible and abrasive.
I recommend anyone looking to find an apt in NY to see Soraya as at the end of the day she found me the perfect apt and a great landlord. I always felt like she had my best interests at heart and the fee didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would because her service was so great.

My husband and I relocated from Chicago to New York, and we wouldn’t have found an apartment without the help of Soraya and Debbie at Coldwell Banker. Both of these ladies went above and beyond to find us an incredible apartment. Debbie took us all over New York on a 90 degree day, and showed us so many apartments, and was awesome. She gave us advice about neighborhoods, showed us where to get the most convenient public transportation, and was super cool to spend time with all day. She even took us back to our first choice apartment later that night so we would be 100% sure it was the one. We have more friends moving to New York, and they have already contacted Debbie and Soraya for help.
Next time I move I will be using Coldwell Banker again.

Disrespectful of my time, incompetent brokers, extremely unprofessional. The 5-​star reviews on their Google page is probably planted. I wasn’t looking for white glove service, but was appalled at what I got (enough to motivate me to write a review!).

I have to agree with Annie B… AC Lawrence is a gristmill of a company. You get the rah-​rah routine and quite the song and dance about how they are the best R/​E company to work for. Not really. There is a big push for the $ 250.00 for «training fee», then another $ 50.00 for a «professional» photo, and lastly $ 225.00 for REBNY. Well, long and short… As a newby, I kinda understand the sales training, and the photo fee for your business cards, but Annie is 100% correct… They keep the money and then avoid returning either the money or your calls. If you have ANY R/​E experience… Go somewhere else… This is a machine that mass produces basic agents and is not responsive to the new agent unless you meet their quotas.

–I worked there for a couple of months, paid my $ 250 startup fees and $ 225 fee to be a member of REBNY. They took the money and held it, so when I asked why I wasn’t showing up in the REBNY directory after I had switched companies, they said they would write me a check since it «hadn’t been long enough» Moral of the story is they keep your money and don’t use it to sign you up for REBNY. My tip: Apply to REBNY directly. There are some people you will learn from there: ex. Normund… however, the administration WILL try to scam you out of your money. Don’t fall for it.

I wasn’t going to write a negative review because this is a huge company, I didn’t want my experience to reflect on the good brokers out there, and I understand how hard brokers work for a living. I have respect for the hours they put in only to frequently not be compensated. However, my experience with ac Lawrence was so bad that it still pisses me off two months later.
This company pulled a bait and switch on me and I was so constricted on time I didn’t see it happening. I felt like an idiot when all was said and done and I am still mad about it. I understand they have to hustle to make a living, but it shouldn’t be at the expense of their clients. Proceed with caution if you use this company.

Used Antony Bitar and he found us a steal of an apartment on the UWS! He was both, personable and efficient. Very communicative throughout the entire process and very reassuring. Would recommend to anyone looking for an apartment in NYC!

This review is about David Berman: It was a huge relief to work with David in finding an apartment to rent in Manhattan. He made a really stressful experience as smooth as it could possibly be. He is responsive, reliable at following up, picks up the phone when you call, calls you when he says he will, and even touches base with you to make sure everything worked out. He knows his stuff and has came up with exclusive listings for what my parameters were. On top of that, he was friendly and genuine which was refreshing, making the process actually quite pleasant — as it should be.
I would recommend that you don’t waste your time with anyone else and just call David.
