Took awhile(15 – 20 minutes) to get an order of wings and pineapple fried rice with shrimp… the wings were decent but could’ve used a little more seasoning they were on the bland side the sauce on the side(like a sweet chili) was a saving grace though because without it, we’d be looking at a 1 – 2 star review. the rice again was just OK. nothing spectacular average at best which would be great in the $ 10-$ 15 range. not $ 20-$ 25 range

My friend and I came here for lunch recently. It’s a BYOB spot which we didn’t know but there’s a liquor store across the street where a I was able to get a bottle of cold white wine. I didn’t see a bottle charge or anything on our receipt also. I ordered from the lunch menu. I got dumplings and the pad see ew. So good and cheap!

A-OK. I had dinner just before they closed on a weeknight and was the only customer. It took about 5 – 10 minutes for anyone to approach me(I sat myself), but they were attentive after that. The food came quickly. The Fresh Summer Roll was very good. The Cashew Nut with Jasmine Rice was also very good.

I’ve been ordering from this place for years and it’s been pretty good up until now. I ordered the duck or with pad Thai and it was less than mediocre. I sometimes eat Chinese or Thai food in Flushing Queens and the duck there is to die for. Last night even I had duck pad Thai at a place in Queens and I thought that it would be similar tasting at this restaurant. But it wasn’t and I am sorely disappointed. Despite this, I do love their fried rice with beef or pineapple fried rice. The crispy calamari salad is delicious and I also love the thai iced coffee or Thai iced tea. The spring rolls and summer rolls are also fantastic snacks. Favorite is the green curry with chicken over rice. Generally I understand what I’m getting with this place, and it’s usually delicious food. But I really wish that they would step up their duck game. Other than that, the restaurant is small and quaint. It’s right next to a few bars but doesn’t get too loud. The servers are kind so that makes all the difference. I’ll keep coming to this place for sure !!!

This is a wonderful restaurant with fantastic Thai food. I have eaten here as well as ordered take out and the food is delicious every time. The service is also top notch whether dining in or ordering take out. I highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy Thai food.

I love everything about A+. The prices are deliciously cheap, the food is good, and the BYOB policy will have you hosting your very own party inside. I’ve celebrated two birthdays here and still use it as a great place to meet up with friends before hitting the happy hour bars in the area. Always walk out with a stomach who thanks me and veins that feel the buzz.

The food was ok. Got the Pad Thai(veggie & tofu) and the Mega Ball as an app. It’s a normal Thai place, so it was ok, but I’ve had better. They also did not rush the check which was nice, but we were on a timeline so that was a little inconvenient. Would only come back if I was in the area.

Came here to pick up take out dinner cause I was craving Pad Thai. Not the cheapest Thai place in New York but it was decently priced, especially for the neighborhood. The staff is super friendly and it was quickly cooked. The food was decent – nothing spectacular but not horrible either. Overall, good for the neighborhood(price wise) but don’t come here if you’re looking for cheap and good Thai cuisine in New York.

Don’t go here. Found hair in dish. Was offered a complimentary dish. When i declined very politely they still charged me for the dish that was only a third eaten due to being grossed out. Bad business.

Nice place right on 2nd ave. I had lunch there today. It’s a pretty small place more long and narrow the wide. Probably 8 or 10 tables. It was half full for lunch today. I had the Panang Curry and a Thai Iced Tea. Both were good. Thai Ice Teas are the best and not all the Thai places I’ve been to get it right. These guys have a very good and authentic Iced Tea. The food was good too. Portions were a little smaller than I would have liked but good nonetheless. Also came white rice which was served on the same plate with the curry in a bowl. Nice presentation. I unfortunately don’t live close enough for deliveries but they deliver(who doesn’t in Manhatten?). There were three of us and the bill was just under $ 40. Parking is the city. Good luck for street parking although I think on Sunday’s there are options. There are a few garages close by too. The E and the 6 are a few blocks away.

It’s an okay Thai place. The place got a nice clean feel. The service lacks a Little. Ordered their veggie fried rice with calamari. It was a bit on the mushy side. Taste was ok.

I am surprised this place does not have higher reviews. The food is pretty good and while this is not the best Thai I have ever had, the quality to price ratio is among the best I have found. On top of it all, this is a BYOB establishment and just across the street is a very nice wine store. Excellent place for a low key, inexpensive dinner date or for a quick lunch.

I just called to make an order. When I added an item that was a lunch special, I was told that the lunch specials were done for the day. I said ‘But don’t they go until 4?’ I was told ‘Yes, and it is 4 right now, so they are done for the day’. «Thanks. I’ll order from somewhere else.» «Okay!»

This was the worst Thai restaurant i ever ordered from. I ordered the Beef Satay which was thin peices of Beef stuck to the stick. you couldnt even bite into it. I ordered the lemon grass chicken breast which was a half piece of chicken over lettuce. Horrible save your money

Let me start by saying I love A+ Thai, but this is not New York’s best Thai restaurant. But that’s not why you go here. You go here because it tastes better than it should be for the price. The food is good. Really good. Not great, but really good. And cheap. The service however is great. Oh, and you go here because it’s BYOB — and a good wine shop across the street knows the menu and makes excellent recommendations. This equation represents my thinking of A+ Thai: good food + BYOB/bottle of wine from across the street + great service = AWESOMENESS

The food’s terrible. Really not sure what all the rave reviews are about. I am not kidding when I say this is some of the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. The pad thai was light brown in color — where’s the tamarind sauce? Minus points for lack of authenticity. No flavor at all! It looks like they made these noodles in less than five minutes and didn’t even try. The pad see ew was also terrible. It was a giant container of thick noodles drowned in a sauce that tasted like watered down soy sauce and added sugar. I ordered both noodles in medium spice… there was ZERO spice, zero flavor, zero attempt at making it spicy. I tried to stuff my face with it because I was starving, but I eventually tossed it. Disappointing. I couldn’t even pretend to like it. I guess the one consolation was that it was cheap-ish… $ 11 for a pad see ew isn’t that cheap? Maybe it was just an off night, but compared to the other thai places in midtown this is not worth a second try.

Here is how I initially found out about this place. I was walking to work one morning, and a guy was standing on the sidewalk, handing out the menus for the restaurant. I decided to try it for lunch one day, and it didn’t take long for me to become a regular. I often just get a few appetizers here, my absolute favorite being the curry puff, which consists of curried chicken and potatoes in a puff pastry shell(almost like an empanadilla). The mega ball appetizer(another favorite) is made with ground chicken and shrimp. You can get it steamed or fried. I always get the fried version, and always enjoy it. The pumpkin curry is delicious, and I also like their sriracha fried rice and their pad see ew noodles. I have always enjoyed everything I have ever eaten here. I have also brought friends here on multiple occasions, and the curry puff and the pumpkin curry are great favorites with them too.
