It’s funny how they still are the delivery company for Amazon Prime.
Had a Prime Same Day delivery in Philadelphia, and tracking say it was delivered to the front-​desk, although the package was nowhere to be seen.

Said they attempted delivery — no ring, no knock, no notices left. Not sure how that constitutes even the most liberal definition of a courier service. Amazon is riddled with complaints about these people and it’s not surprising. Literally has made me reevaluate relying on Prime.

Like the others have mentioned, they lie and say they attempt delivery. Has happened multiple times, Avoid them. UPS /​USPS and Fedex might be annoying to deal with, but they are real legit shipping outfits who will at least attempt to appear responsible and ethical when handling their business.

Absolute hate.
I am thinking on get rid of my amazon prime membership because of them. Every single time they will deliver my package I have to call amazon customer service. They lied saying no one was here when they attempted to deliver my package. They don’t answer the phone.
Stay away from them!

Exact same issues as every single other reviewer here (except for the fortunate two that apparently had no issues). Ordered a surprise gift on Amazon to get delivered next day to my girlfriend who lives in Brooklyn. Tracked it the following day and said it would be delivered by 9:00 pm. Perfect — she would get home from work, check her mail, and be pleasantly surprised by lovingly thoughtful gift. Received an update that the package was delivered to her apartment at 5:59 pm and signed by «Mb» which apparently means «mailbox.» The package was never delivered. I have no clue where the package is. How many horrible reviews and experiences are needed before Amazon cuts them out?

I can go on and on about terrible experiences with this negligent company through Amazon orders. They update tracking information to show packages have been delivered and signed for, but without delivering. Sometimes they will come days later, sometimes they won’t. Many overnight orders are referred to them, and when I see their company come up as the currier, I expect I won’t receive it. How on earth does Amazon continue to use them with such a terrible spread of reviews. Posting for their Chicago operation, which I don’t believe has a specific Unilocal page.

Horrible service! Package said it was delivered but it is no where to be found. Good thing I used Amazon. I received an instant credit.

A-​1 is totally a fraud! I have a one-​day delivery by A-​1. Tracking says «delivered and signed by [my name]». But I have never got it. I live in an apartment building with 24-​hour concierge. All deliveries will go to them first. But they have never received my package neither.

Atrocious.
I ordered a package on Amazon for next day delivery. The next day, I see online that my package has been marked as delivered as of 9PM that evening. «Signed by: mailbox». Tell me where this «mailbox» lives and how may limbs it has. There was nothing there and there is STILL nothing there.
I give it another day, thinking maybe the information isn’t correct– sometimes things just get scrambled and I get that.
Next day I file a customer service request on their website. No one contacts me. I submitted AGAIN and called them another day later and was on hold for a half hour before I decided to just leave a message. No call back. No nothing. I had my package refunded on Amazon but still am out for the shipping cost (read: incompetence fee).
Thanks for eating up four hours of my day and a christmas present. Hack company, avoid at all costs.

They have the most backwards way of working. Nothing can be re-​routed and they aren’t there to help customers at all. I Can not believe the situation I am in because that this carrier has caused. Amazon bad job on working with such an organization that doesn’t work effectively or efficiently!

They claimed they delivered my package from Amazon, but we were home at the supposed time of delivery. Nothing ever came. I called Amazon to express my frustration and they asked me to wait until Monday. It was supposed to be delivered on Friday. I don’t have a problem with them missing the delivery day considering it is their busy season, but don’t lie and mark it as delivered when it was not. Amazon just needs to stick with reputable carriers like UPS and FedEx. The package mysteriously shows up on Sunday without so much as a ring of the doorbell or knock at the door. Piss poor service from a horrible courier. Wake up Amazon. Discontinue using A1.

The package explicitly said «signature required» and supposedly they left it in the middle of a major city, at an office building, «near the front door.» who does that?

How can a courier this terrible exist in today’s world? I might just close my Amazon prime membership if they continue to use this service.
I live in a large apartment building with buzzers at the main door, my package says delivered but was never delivered and we were never buzzed. Reviewing security footage for the delivery does not show any attempted delivery. Online tracking says the package was signed by «front door» When I contacted them and spoke with James I believe his name was, he told me that he has no information to give me as the driver is still sleeping. (WHAT?!/1?) He also took no responsibility for any missing package saying this is an issue between amazon and I. Cutting A-​1 out of the picture. Needless to say I am seeing HUNDREDS of posts, ratings, etc in the past year of this common practice of A-​1. Thieves.

I am so livid & will be contacting a lawyer against A-​1 Courier Service and their driver, Carlos.
Ordered a time sensitive package on a Saturday. Paid the extra shipping for same day service. Canceled my Saturday night plans to sit and wait for it.
And it never came. Called A-​1 and got no answer. Looked after 9 pm on Amazon and saw they «attempted delivery.» Ha-​ha, I’d been waiting all day! Tried calling again and again until I got a janitor who said I could try getting to Lyndenhurst, NJ to get the package. I live in Manhattan. No?
I ended up having to drive to Connecticut on a Saturday night to get the items I needed. Then I got a call today (Sunday) from A-​1 tracking. They tried to deliver the package again. I told the driver, Carlos, to buzz apartment C. He said he was dialing apartment C. I went outside to meet him and no one was outside. NO ONE.
While talking to the customer service rep on three-​way with me (perhaps he didn’t know I was listening), Carlos then called me «this stupid little bitch» for not knowing I was there.
WHAT. EXCUSE ME. WHAT.
I was standing outside on my steps trying to get a day late package and you call me a «stupid little bitch»!!! Ten minutes later there’s a buzz at the door and he comes in, LAUGHING, telling me «haha I got the wrong apartment! Today and yesterday!»
I told him I was calling a lawyer and I fully intend to against Carlos and A-​1 services. I feel verbally harassed and belittled from a COURIER SERVICE. Whaaaaaat.
This is insane. I’m shocked. Thanks to Amazon for helping me submit a claim, but no more A-​1 for me ever, ever, ever again.

The worst delivery service that I have ever experienced. Their employees are either incompetent, liars or, lying to cover up their incompetence.
I have had several orders from
that where to be delivered by A-​1 International that went missing or were delivered after the speficied delivery date.
By far the worse was the delivery that had to be dropped off by my neighbor. I spoke to the alleged delivery driver who claimed that he dropped it off at my house. About 3 days after the package was supposed to be delivered, I asked him to confirm he had the correct address, he drove back to my place and described my house to me. Only to have the box to show up the next day with a note from my neighbor one street up.
To summarize, the delivery guy dropped the package off at the wrong address, then after realizing his mistake lied to me on the phone in order to cover his ass.

I was looking out my kitchen window which overlooks the entrance to my apartment building when I saw the guy carrying an Amazon Prime box.
Great I thought, he’s here.
Dude rang my buzzer and I buzzed him in the building. Awesome! I’m 99.9% of the way there to getting my package.
Or so I thought…
15 minutes go by and no one has rung my doorbell. Not a big building so kinda hard to get lost.
My phone alerts that I have a text message from Amazon stating my package has been delivered!!!
WTF???
I go downstairs to see my box left on the floor beneath the mailboxes for anyone to grab.
He obviously knew I was home because I HAD BUZZED HIM IN!!!
How hard is it to take the elevator up to the 5^th floor!?? What a LAZY S.O.B.

The worst delivery service! Never before have I had any problems with Amazon deliveries. Even with the correct address, a full-​time doorman, and my phone number they failed to deliver my package. Amazon reported that A-​1 claimed they had tried to call me. Nonsense! Also, after emailing A-​1 and calling them there was no response at all.
Lazy bastards!
Amazon need to drops these incompetents!

Wow where do I start?
This courier is the new courier service for Amazon prime in my area… lord help us all. First of all, they do not have access to apartment buildings (and per the rep I spoke with, they have no intentions of persuing access), so if you order something you better make sure you are home, or else they will not deliver it and re-​attempting is a nightmare. You can Expect days before your package arrives and rude customer service reps who could care less about customer satisfication. Its such a shame that amazon is using this service.

By far, the WORST delivery company on planet earth — as you can probably tell from the 14 out of 17 horrendous reviews.
These idiots failed to deliver the same product through Amazon Same Day THREE TIMES in one week. On top of that, the week prior, my girlfriend ordered a book same day from Amazon and they failed TWICE. She is not as patient as I am and so she went to
and did it there, no problem.
It cost me hours on the phone w/​Amazon for nothing, and after speaking directly with a company rep, I was told I’d hear back in a half-​hour. Nothing.
My favorite part is that Amazon has no way of selecting a different courier, as these rocket scientists are apparently the ONLY ONES in the entire New York area.
Reflects very poorly on Amazon that, not only do they continue to use this awful company, but that they’re the only option.
An Amazon supervisor went so far as to tell me to have it delivered to a PO Box so as to make it easier for these morons to deliver the package.
I would tell you to avoid using this company at all costs, but if you order Same Day from Amazon, you have no choice.

When I searched for this courier on Unilocal,I found a bunch but since this one had been reviewed with the mention «Amazon» I knew I was on the dolla dolla!
A couple of years ago I got an email from a friend while at work reminding me about he birthday party later that day. I FORGOT! I knew I would be tied up until well after 6pm. I looked at what I had on, not exactly the kind of swag a 20 something parties in. So I get on FB and ask what does a girl do when she needs a dress but can’t go get one? Someone shouted, Hey Gina try Rent the Runway. That angel in disguise did me right. Found one-​rental $ 50. Cost for same day courier-​I think $ 10… IN MANHATTAN. OH NOOOOO!!! I work and live in NJ. I call Rent the Runway panicked and spoke to a really nice rep! She tells me to sit tight and she will contact the courier. Call back 15 minutes later. For an additional fee they will bring the dress to NJ.
I placed my order at around 1pm. At around 4:30pm a man who had a big smile on walked over to my desk with my dress in hand.
The rep from Rent the Runway advised me that A-​1 International would be delivering my dress and that the driver would have legit ID. While waiting I looked up the courier and found their website. They do the Amazon deliveries in NYC and parts of NJ. A-​1 locked it down for my that night! Rent the runway had the dress, but they got it to me!
