I read on a website that they had the best $ 1 slice so I was expecting some good stuff. I was really disappointed since it tasted like frozen pizza. It’s okay for one box but don’t expect much.

Not much to say here as I think you know what it is! Pizza is truly 99 cents and tastes pretty good! Looks like all they had was cheese pizza but I didn’t care as I was hungry and needed to soak up the alcohol. After I smashed 1, I went back for #2& #3!

Fuck this place. I just got a slice on my way home from school. Guy behind the counter basically pulls a slice out of the air. Taste was subpar but it’s a $ 1 slice so I can’t complain… Until I get home and feel like total crap. Don’t get pizza from here unless you want to call out sick. There’s like two other $ 1 pizza spots up the block go there this place sucks

It’s actually $ 1 a slice. Still a great deal! Get two slices for yourself, one will never be enough, And you’ll regret your decision while waiting for that damn subway train to arrive.

The pizza isn’t bad, definitely not New York’s best, but not their worst either, and way better than some pizza hut or papa johns. I would say this a good place for some drunk pizza before you get on the train… something in your stomach to soak up the alcohol. It’s a super tiny place, basically fits maybe four customers at a time. Make sure you give them EXACT money. On more than one occasion, I have given them a $ 1 for my slice, only for them to tell me I didn’t give them any money for my pizza. It’s a dollar, if they really need to charge me $ 2 for my dollar pizza, whatever. But the last time, I made the mistake of giving them a $ 20. How do I know it was a $ 20, because I had just visited the ATM, and guess what, the ATM only gives out 20s! For the record, I was fully sober when it happened. The guy claimed I gave him a dollar. It was definitely not a dollar. It was late-ish, and I just wanted to get on the train and go home, so after arguing, I decided not to go all, ‘when keeping it real goes wrong’ and just leave and go home. I’d find somewhere else to get drunk pizza from. Stumble down the block somewhere else. Or eat some leftovers in my fridge when I get home. I don’t really feeling getting ripped off, but I pretty much got robbed here.

Nice place with good service and pizza. You might have to wait in line but it’s worth a quick cheap bite in a great location near Washington Square Park

Tastes just like 2 Bros pizza but, was told it was«my responsibility» when I forgot my drink on the counter after I was rushing to season my food and head back to eat. I told the guy that there wasn’t a sign hanging up anywhere saying that. He asked me how did he know that I didn’t take the drink with me, I asked him 1. Why the f*** would I waste time during my lunch break to come back to argue with him. 2. How do i know that they didn’t just stick it back in the freezer. He said«We wouldn’t do that» but I’m supposed to take his word for it, just like I assumed he’d take my word that I would try to rip them off! Just go to 2 Bro’s near the W4 station. You’ll save only 25 cents, but at least they have seating space!

Need something quick to eat as you wander through the streets of lower Manhattan? Then this is a great option. Pizza is always fresh and light. Never got a slice with toppings here because wasn’t interested in waiting the extra time for it. Not the best 99 cent pizza in NYC but always satisfied with 2 plain slices and a coke. Recommended as a place to grab something for lunch or after a few drinks.

This the best bang for the buck in the west village. Always fresh. Good slice, nothing fancy but tasty n it’s not thin on th cheese and sauce.

There’s nothing like a good 99c New York pizza. And these boys know what they’re doing. I’ve drunkenly eaten many a dollar pizzas but this place is my favorite. Always a great tasting slice!

This pizza is pretty tasty. I’ve gone to other pizza places in the area that are more expensive but are no better in taste or flavor.

Okay, so I’m conflicted here. This slice simply does not meet the NY pizza standard. However, it’s ninety-nine cents. That’s it. For ninety-nine cents, it’s a pretty great deal. If you’re looking for a fantastic NY pizza slice, shell out a couple more bucks and go somewhere else. If you’re broke, drunk, or need a snack, get a ninety-nine cent slice. Is it amazing? No, it’s not. But It’s not too shabby either.

The best $ 1 pizza. Easily. I’ve been to a lot of these. The people are nicer. They have parm cheese and the gross but delicious hot sauce. Yum.

Yes. Best pizza in the city, and yes the fact that it costs a dollar has a lot to do with it… but shouldn’t it? Where else can you get food that tastes consistently awesome, costs a dollar, tastes awesome and cost a dollar AND to top it off tastes awesome? Yeah, thought so. Oh and I think if you ask for your one penny change, they may give it to you… never tried it though.

With the tragic demise of the 8th Street Gray’s Papaya(damn you, Liquiteria!) these guys are now the best bet in the neighborhood when it comes to dollar slices. And they bake constantly, so you rarely have to wait for a hot slice. Also, they’re open 24/7, so they’re perfect for those 4AM «is this breakfast or a *really* late midnight snack?» kinda of meals.

Fresh Pizza is right. We got three slices from a pie right out of the oven. It tasted exactly like you want NY style pizza to taste. Gooey and burn-the-roof-of-your-mouth cheesy. If you need some insurance at 3am to prevent a hangover in the morning, these guys are awesome.

IT’S PIZZAFOR A DOLLAR. you’re getting what you’re paying for. This isn’t artichokes. But you’re definitely getting your moneys worth. Best dollar I ever spent.

What can you really say about 99 cent pizza? The price is right, and although you may need to wait a few minutes during those after work peak hours, it’s decent pizza for the price. Bonus points if you can hit this place right — when there’s a pie that’s been out for just the right amount of time to cool off so that you don’t burn your tongue, but still hot enough to be enjoyable.

There is no reason this place should at the very least be four stars. It is ONEDOLLAR for sustenance. It’s pretty good pizza for the price. The dudes who work here probably make $ 40 a day to make pizza in a place so steaming hot and busy. Give them an extra buck. Please. I don’t think there’s a better deal in the city other than my old bagel and coffee cart on 6th Avenue and Spring Street. For two bucks, I get a filling lunch. Enough said.

Only pros are its open late and slices are 99 cents. If that’s what you need, you’re good. There’s nothing this place had to offer in the way of variety(i.e. toppings?) or taste. If you want better pizza, there’s tons of places around but they won’t give it to you for $ 1. And it’s a dollar a slice … Don’t expect a penny back. FYI — its near the PATH(maybe 2 blocks) at 9th St, so it works for those of you trekking back to NJ. Although, if you want more, stop at one of the other places in that area for something more fulfilling.
