Celeste Gudas, Stuart Kagel and Sheilah Hogan founded the company in New York after working for more than 10 years as recruiters in the marketing and apparel staffing industry. Since then, 24 Seven has quickly established itself as a staffing industry leader by innovating current industry processes and establishing new standards of practice for freelance and full-​time staffing. The company expanded and opened offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco and Seattle with the first international office in London.

Celeste a graduate of Smith College, is a true leader in Fashion Staffing. She has held SR level merchandising and product development positions in fashion, obtaining unique industry knowledge. She has also traveled abroad extensively, developing and sourcing apparel products, and has managed several design teams. Her subsequent progression into staffing the industry that she knows so well has proven highly successful. In fact, she has pioneered the concept of «Fashion Temps» both in NY and LA. For the last 20 yrs, she has been a hands-​on manager, accessible to clients and candidates alike. She has built 24 Seven into the number one Fashion freelance and fulltime staffing firm. 24seven is absolutely amazing. The staff is extremely active with their available job opportunities. I was constantly being reached out to with any opportunity that they thought would be the right fit for me. I worked with Mindy and Harleen and I have to say that they are the most amazing and hard working people. I was placed in an incredible position that helped me grow my skills in every way i imagined and then some. They were always avaliable for any questions that i had along the way. I would recommend them and 24seven to absolutely everyone.

yesterday I meet with a recruiter for production positions. Although she was 30 mins late, she gave me great resume and interviewing tips. I feel confident they want to find me a job. I will write a follow up review when or if that happens.

The staff at 24 Seven does a fantastic job and has sincerely exceeded my expectations! I was given various assignments until I found the perfect fit and was offered the position permanently with a very well known luxury company. 24 Seven allowed me the opportunity to show my hard work ethic without the various nerve wrecking interview process we all go through. Both of my account managers Mindy and Harleen went above and beyond partnering up, making sure I was kept busy as I requested to be. They constantly checked in, followed up via phone and email and helped me out tremendously! I would DEFINITELY recommend 24 Seven to those who are hardworking, ambitious, and dedicated to work whether its freelancing or permanent. The staff is extremely friendly, responsible and works amazing as a whole, as some days I had other account managers whom I’ve never met offering me assignments due to my resume! If you are having trouble looking for work please check them out, I am so thankful to have been apart of such a great agency as this was my first time. I appreciate all that they have done for me and I’m sure many others who showed how passionate they were towards finding employment.

Terrible agency. I was referred by a friend and have only been cancelled on. I have a college degree and experience. I had one interview with a recruiter and I was forgotten for about a year. After several emails, I finally got a call from them for a job I wasn’t qualified for. I took the interview anyway and went ahead and made plans. The recruiter later calls me and cancels the interview. Later, she also cancels the interview I had with her on the day of the interview. Really inconsiderate.

All I wanted from 24Seven was a single night with decent pay for some extra, quick cash (on Thanksgiving night). I fully expected a professional, courteous response from them, which I got when I had questions pre-​shift. The real fun started afterwards. After putting my time in timecards, I assumed all was well — obviously any decent business would notify you should there be any problems with your timecard or paycheck. Not 24Seven.
A little over two weeks after submitting my time card, I called them trying to find out where my paycheck was. See, they don’t let you know if you’re timecard hasn’t been approved — and it STILL hasn’t, by some entity I only know of by name, who I’ve never spoken to. Obviously I had a problem with this. I wouldn’t have elected to work an overnight on Thanksgiving night if I weren’t already strapped for cash. To find out that the paycheck you were hoping for is somewhere in the ether between two businesses, and has been for some time, isn’t the kind of news you want.
After NO response to multiple voicemails and even more calls — literally, no one called me back over another TWO WEEKS time — I’ve decided to take my complaint to the Department of Labor. Every time I’ve called, without fail, I’ve been told they’re unavailable. Even if this is normal in the «talent agency» industry, it’s completely unacceptable to blatantly ignore the calls of someone desperately trying to get a single update from ANYONE.

I have been consistently infuriated by 24Seven. I have mounds of quality, praised experience in consumer goods and retail, as well as the intelligence and adaptability to make me a great candidate for at least SOMETHING on their job board. But, alas, after applying consistently to positions (at least 40!) for over half a year, I’m left totally f**king baffled as to what these people want. I haven’t gotten a single nibble of interest.
Does my resume ping on ANY radar at all? Those 5+ years working in luxury stores in New York, at a managerial level… nothing? You cannot find any asset in my top tier college education to make me worthy of even a meeting?
Exactly what criteria do you look for when hiring, 24Seven? I admit that I’m not a fairy princess or a supermodel, so that must be what’s putting me on the outs with your esteemed firm. Screw you guys.

I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but both times was forced to find a new job (layoffs), I found them to be extremely unhelpful. They weren’t super responsive, and I was rejected from plenty of jobs I felt mirrored my skill sets. Luckily, I have settled into a new job, and am very happy!
Of all the fashion/​retail recruiting agencies in the city, I would recommend both Adecco and JBC Style over 24 Seven. The recruiters I worked with at Adecco and JBC checked in with me weekly, if not daily, and always had new positions. They consistently submitted my resume to many opportunities, and I went on a few interviews. I think 24 Seven either needs more recruiters because they are overloaded with candidates, or must to figure out better strategies to manage candidates. No disrespect meant; just an opinion from someone who job hunted quite a lot, and found significantly more success with other agencies.

This company is a joke. I’ve worked with them for 1.5 years doing special events and have never had a problem until recently. They can’t answer simple emails, I’m not getting paid for my work and my emails keep getting tossed from one person to the next. I don’t know if it’s just my manger but I will never use 24⁄7 again. So unprofessional and like to waste people time !!!

I use 24 Seven time to time if work is slow and they happen to have something open. My last interview through them the assignment was for less than 2 weeks and I have to bring my own Macbook Pro with the latest version of the entire Adobe Suite. After agreeing to this I was told from the person that interviewed me that budget could not approve me for a week assignment and they might not have a desk for me. Prior to that I got a short gig through them which paid decent and was fairly relaxed. I have also been sent on an interview to a job that was already filled before I had got there. Currently the bad outweighs the good with this place and I will do my best not avoid using them.

I got an interview with one of the MOST iconic names in fashion and it never would have happened without 24 Seven and recruiter Lindsay Ackerman’s connections in the business.
I signed up with 24 Seven and met Lindsay soon after at their super cute SoHo office. Although there wasn’t an immediate match, I left feeling informed about the recruiting process and Lindsay really understood my skill set and what I wanted (and didn’t want) in a job. She also said she would keep me in mind for future opportunities. I was hopeful, but not exactly optimistic about what they could do for me because, well, this is New York City and you just never know.
After our interview I got an email from 24 Seven giving me a Starbucks card just because which was awesome.
I’ve learned in my first job search in NYC that the old cliché often does apply: it’s all about who you know. Within less than a week, Lindsay had called some people, did some things, waved her well-​connected wand, and next thing I know, she emailed with an offer to interview for, again, one of the most iconic names in fashion – a company I had always dreamed of working for. I was shocked, and I’ve continued to be amazed at the level of service I’ve gotten from Lindsay and 24 Seven. She kept me in mind after our initial interview like she said she would. Every time she said she would email, she did. I’ve never felt blown off or ignored like I have when I dealt directly with potential employers.
I would definitely recommend signing up with 24 Seven and even requesting Lindsay if you can. She gives honest, sound advice and I think she genuinely cares about people and their well-​being (she emails to ask how my interviews went even before my family does)! I never write reviews, but this one was well-​deserved.

My review is also long overdue.
There are no words for how much I love working with (and that is the key, it’s a partnership through and through) 24 Seven. I genuinely feel as if they are looking out for me: finding me placements as soon as one is ending, keeping an eye out for anything on the horizon, and sharing my info among the agents there. It’s been an incredible experience so far.
I tried dabbling with other creative agencies and the experience was night-​and-​day. Instead of being on the receiving end of mass emails or not actually getting a hold of someone I’ve worked closely with three agents over the years and am in touch with all of them still. When one doesn’t have a placement for me, another will be on the lookout. It’s incredible.
Last year I got an email while I was in Berlin about a placement and over the course of my holiday, with an ocean and hours of time zones between us, we were able to hammer out a deal and I landed back in New York with my dream placement. How many agencies can give you that? None I’ve encountered other than 24 Seven. I’ve even offered to do a commercial for them!
In short: love them. My guardian angels in the design world.

I can honestly say that 24 Seven saved my life and this review is long overdue.
I met with the brilliant recruiters at 24 Seven over 3 years ago, when I was crashing at a friend’s place and on my last few dollars. I was very honest about my situation when I spoke to Kerin initially and the professionals got right to work. They placed me immediately in a temporary part time retail position at an iconic brand (Bless you Rachel!). Now, I sit here writing this review after my 5th promotion and having spent the last two days running the store on my own.
I know I have the wonderful people at 24 Seven to thank for where I am now. When I showed up there, I just wanted to be able to afford a roof over my head and to eat. Never in a million years did I think I’d be meeting and styling celebrity clients like Meg Ryan, Mos Def, BIlly Gibbons (ZZ Top), or Mark Boone Jr. («Billy» from Sons Of Anarchy)… or even planning the visuals for this store AND our 2nd location! It’s more than I could’ve ever dreamed of. To think, I never would’ve found this job on my own.
Working retail, I know all too well that people are more compelled to write reviews based on negative experiences (though I’ve had my share of glowing reviews and secret shopper reports), so believe my desire to pay the positive forward.
If you love fashion and you need work, I wholeheartedly recommend 24 Seven. I’m going back when I’m ready for my next career move. I trust them implicitly and you should too.

In the five years that I’ve lived here in NYC, this agency has NEVER been able to place me. They claim to specialize in fashion industry job placement, and they have a ton of postings for freelance and some full time positions on their website. But how is it possible that with a *minimum* of five years work experience and transferable skills, a degree in fashion design, AND some industry experience for a well-​known brand and a successful wholesaler they have only managed to send me on ONE interview completely unrelated to my field?
When I emailed and called a few of the recruiters, the best thing they could do for me was to send me a questionnaire to fill out and update my info, to which they never followed up or returned my calls.
On the positive: you can maybe land a retail seasonal job with them (which, you could just apply directly to the store website) and save yourself the disappointment.
I would not recommend this place for anyone with some experience, even in fashion. At best, you’ll land a job at Macy’s doing stock or warehouse work.

I moved to NYC jobless and 24Seven really helped me out. I loved that they had both full-​time and temp positions. At first I ended up getting a temp job through another agency and it didn’t pan out long-​term. 24Seven kept in touch with me over the months though and presented me with another opportunity. I got lucky and the new temp position moved very smoothly into a full-​time position after about 3 months. A great way to job hunt in this challenging economy! Would definitely recommend.
Never had any trouble with being paid on time. I loved that they sent the pay stub a day in advance through your email.

They have gotten me some temp event work, but getting paid from these guys is always incredibly difficult. They sent my check to a guy with the same name, and it took me over a month to get paid.
I made the mistake of using these guess again. Perhaps, it’s just me, but I am not happy.

If you are ever looking for work 24 Seven does not disappoint. They just might be the one of the best in the city if not the best. They have a combination of amazing recruiters and exciting jobs (which are different than what most agencies offer) which make them the ideal agency. The staff truly cares about every individual and works with you to find not just a job, but a job where you will be happy and excited to wake up every morning.
I have had the pleasure of working with Lauren Hollinger from the company and she is just amazing. She always finds the most exciting jobs and has always been available when I needed it. On top of that in the past month she and her team have helped two of my friends find jobs where they are happy. Since being with them I have gotten a couple of offers and they have always pushed to get me more pay than what was originally offered.
If you are hesitant, just set up an appointment and talk to someone. I bet you within minutes of meeting someone from 24 Seven, you will feel like you are in good hands and excited to work with them.

Let’s be real, the average person rather eat monkey brains than go job hunting… well that’s true except for the agents at 24seven. They are a boutique agency with access to one of the most diverse and comprehensive selection of jobs. Because they profit when you profit they go the extra mile to get you booked. It’s a really good feeling to be Facebook trolling and just get a phone call with a tasty job lead at a household name.
They’ve been instrumental to each of my career shifts whether it was just breaking into the fashion industry with a Political Science degree or moving from design to trend forecasting. I found compared to other agencies the others either didn’t have the diversity in positions or didn’t want to take the time to represent me in a new way.
The job market is so competitive that even the ideal candidate needs an «in» to get to the top of the pile, because it will just get lost in the 350 432 904 other resumes. And this is even more true when you know you can do the job but the resume may not be exactly what they are looking for. 24seven helps gives you credibility and also has temp jobs that not only keep money in your pocket but build your resume with reputable companies.
Finally, the other thing that separates 24seven is their DIGITAL TIMECARD which actually isn’t an industry standard. Plus, I have direct deposit and often get paid early.
Of course, at the end of the day candidates need to perform, be in charge of their career, and exceed expectations. People always complain that they need to know somebody to break in, which 24seven is an amazing resource for. However, unless you’re somebody’s family member, you still need to prove your talent, constantly improve yourself, and make your boss look good.

Not gonna lie — I had my doubts after meeting with a handful of employment agencies who promise you the world and then your resume just gets lost in some abyss. Then, when you call them to find out about job opportunities the response is always, ‘No matches coming up yet! We’ll let you know when something does!’
REALLY? I have multiple years of work experience, an Undergrad and Masters degree and there’s NOT ONE THING that matches in criteria?!
24 Seven is the ONLY company that actually followed through with what they said they would do. I get contacted at least once a week with opportunities and even if they don’t pan out, it’s on to the next one. I know I’m still on their radar and that they are on my team.
So far, I’ve interacted with a handful of employees and they have all been communicative with consistent follow-​up. Allison, Kathleen, Taryn, Laura and Brandi are the people I’ve interacted with most, and they have been fantastic!
Unless I acquire a full-​time position, I’m sticking with 24 Seven!
