Zero stars honestly. Been here before UNDER age… And didn’t get in tonight as a 21 year old. Fucked up

Honestly over rated club! Have been here multiple times under age. I’m 5’10 and all my friends were dressed properly and looked very well put together meanwhile he let in girls who looked like they were 5 wearing the shortest skirts and shorts. This place is sexist and racist 100% will never return!

I do not understand the hype about 1 Oak. It’s a tiny hole in the wall with an awful semi-circle layout. Yes, the bartenders are great but other than that, and the location I guess, there’s nothing special about it. I was with a friend from LA and he said the one there KILLS this location. Sigh, I’m glad I was here for an event rather than doing some overpriced bottle service shindig. Also, the space had over 300 people in it. Sardines, anyone?

I came with a host and the door really put a sour start to my night. We waited(maybe about 15 minutes), I was getting impatient because I didn’t want to wait any longer. My promoter was finally able to walk us in and to the table, as usual the club was really busy for a Wednesday. I really enjoyed the music! Reasons for 3 stars –Inside the club the bouncers were escorting and pushing/shoving girls out(looked sober to me) –Saw them denying people of color outside, really well dressed girls –As I was leaving I took out my ear plugs to put them back in the plastic case and the bouncer starts questioning me outside –Lots of cops parked outside –VERY small compared to the 2 story 1OAK in LA

1 Oak used to really be the place to be. Honestly, there used to be something pretty exclusive yet beautiful about this place. I remember when getting in 1Oak was literally an amazing night but it has changed. The crowd is different, the music isn’t as great and the most action comes from being outside. Inside usually isn’t that pack and that sucks. Its a meatpacking classic but they should consider a revamping.

I was reccomend to come here after going to Marquee, I came here with a friend, waited online for an additional hour. I was approached by a promoter who said oh $ 150 open bar tab we said ok we get to the front of the line they say oh it’s per person, and that just cover charge doesn’t Include your drinks. We didn’t understand we argued and they shoved us, two Police officers saw what was going on they showed us we didn’t shove them. We told them what happend luckily they say, the club got a ticket and we have a court date. They assaulted us. So we are pressing charges. We didn’t even drink fyi and we were very respectful. Beware this place is bad don’t go here be careful it’s overrated, overpriced, everyone is European no Americans, no locals. No one is dressed nice. We were wearing suites, we were willing do drop $$ but when you are rude I don’t care if you got the hottest girls in the world and jz is spinning I wouldn’t spend a $ 1 in your business no way. I understand this is what they have to deal with all the time. But hey its 80 degrees outside why is the one bouncer wearing a suite and a scarf. Please tell me why? He’s not. Cool. Makes no sense. So just stay away, you can’t even hit them off to get in it was a Wednesday night your better off staying away. Please go to another local bar or club and support them and not these people please this is the truth save your time online you will save a headache.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place !!! I come here last time last year, had a good time but somebody stole my friends wallet! Place is small, packet with underage girls and drug dealers. So I said I won’t be back and I didn’t till last night when my friend graduated collage so she wanted to go to 1oak. So I called a promoter and we got there 1125, early so we won’t have any issues right? So I get in line the guy at the door look at me at my ID and tells me to step on a side. Ok… Then another girl same story. One yes one no. So I asked him what’s going on? You won’t let me in? He said no. Ok cool. I asked my friends to get out of the line and we left and took our business somewhere else !! How do this people get hired at 1oak? First of all let me mention I am very familiar with all the clubs in NYC, I was dressed appropriate and the way this guy looked at me up and down made me so uncomfortable! I do believe that they are racist and all that !! I am not a groupie and even if I go out with a promoter I still buy my own drinks !! So maybe this guy at the door expected me to beg him or something !! Nah I’m cool man !! And then he told my promoter that he didn’t like my attitude. How? I haven’t said a word to him before, he doesn’t know me, it’s a joke seriously !! After so many complaints I can’t believe he still works there !! Keep It going 1Oak hopefully they will shut u guys down soon !!

I came here with a close girl friend a while back to attend a birthday party for bottle service at our table and after having an extremely horrific experience here I will never return again unfortunately. This place is unsafe. I repeat. UNSAFE. Although there was an extremely long line out front, my friend and I were on the list and got in within minutes of approaching the bouncer. We met the birthday girl at the table, enjoyed some Grey Goose, and enjoyed the music selection the DJ was playing. It was my first time going there and unfortunately it will be my last due to the type of crowd this place seems to attract and the lack of attentiveness and professionalism of the security. If you’re a girl coming here, be sure to bring reliable guy friend’s or your boyfriend for protection because the moment these tipsy Fuckboys this place is infested with see you solo or with fellow girl friend’s, they will at some point get physically aggressive or confrontational with you in hopes that you’re just another party girl with low self esteem they can treat like absolute shit so they can get your attention in hopes of taking you home. So sad. The whole«Break a woman down so they can manipulate the situation to hopefully have her feel so low that she might sleep with them for approval» TACTIC is outdated and wrong on so many levels. I was dressed casually and was dancing with my close girl friend by our table in a non seductive manner, just holding our drinks and moving to the music with our birthday friends. All of a sudden a random 6 foot tall tipsy African American guy(I’m 5’5) came behind me without warning aggressively rubbing up against me dancing from behind and started touching me inappropriately reaching around and grabbing my crotch area. I was extremely freaked out and my reflexes triggered me in that split second to spin around and smack him in the face yelling sternly«Stop! Be a gentleman! Have some respect!» He picked up a glass of champagne from our table, called me a «fucking bitch», splashed the champagne directly in my eyes which burned terribly, grabbed my face forcefully with an open palm and shoved me so hard that I flew across the dance floor falling and scraping my legs and arms to the point of bleeding. I’m a trooper and didn’t cry, but I was definitely shaken by the whole experience. This happened on a busy night around 2 am and the lights came up and the music stopped. For a club to completely stop the music and bring up the lights at that hour on a busy night goes to show that the incident was just downright horrible. My friend immediately helped me off the floor and the guy immediately fled the scene laughing to hide and join his posse. Although many people were extremely shocked and saw the incident play by play including a floor security guy, security came over to me and said it was probably better that I leave. No offer to try to find this guy and have him reprimanded, arrested or kicked out. Just a simple«I’m sorry, that sucks, you should just leave.» Especially the fact that I was still sober, chipped in for Premium bottles for our table in cold hard cash, tipped our waitress extremely well and did not instigate the situation at all, it was extremely disappointing the way it all went down and the lack of help from the security to rectify the situation. The expectations for an amazing birthday with good vibes with girl friends became a bad night of feeling unsafe. No matter what age or race they may be, the bottom line is men who think it’s okay to be physically abusive toward women for attention(especially down to earth humble/respectful women) are poison and should not be let in or protected by an establishment of any kind. Period. I hope this serves as a helpful warning to anyone thinking of coming here to use caution when coming here or to just steer clear altogether and go somewhere else where the vibes will be chill and the security’s top priority is to protect you as a well paying customer. The fights that break out and the feeling of being fearful and unsafe isn’t worth it in the end. Be safe out there. It’s a wild world.

I showed up with a friend in uniform(Navy) before there was a line. We had tickets from Eventbrite. They said that they do not recognize anything from Eventbrite, then we asked them can we pay to get in and said«No» with no explanation. Both my friend and I are African Americans and this place is totally racist.

I was personally recruited by a promoter to go here and when I showed up on line they told me and my friend to «stand up straight». When we got in, the place was empty. Then it finally started to fill up and most people were dressed frumpy in sneakers and work pants. We were told to sit the entire time and anytime we got up to dance they got annoyed. When girls at my booth got up to go to the bathroom, the promoters would replace their spots with other girls in a second. Why is this place so dead if celebrities supposedly go here? If celebrities do actually come here, I’m sure they show up for ten mins and leave. It’s all a scheme. I’ll admit they did play some serious jams, which is the only reason why I’m giving two stars. Don’t come here unless you’re 19 – 21 and have never been to a club before. This place is a joke!!!

Came on a Sunday the line was ridiculously long and took forever to get in even with a promoter. Bouncers are very selective on who they let it and if you don’t have your id out then be prepared to get turned away. Club was small and I wasn’t impressed by the setup. Bartenders were slow and it took too long to get a drink. I’ve been to much better run clubs in LA and Vegas. On the bright side music was awesome and with enough alcohol in you can ignore all the lacking factors.

There was absolutely no line to get in on a Friday night so my friends and I walked up to the bouncers to be let inside. The main bouncer was totally rude and abrupt and told us to go elsewhere. It was myself, 1 white friend, 2 Chinese friends, and a black friend of ours. It seemed really odd that my diverse group of friends weren’t even given but a glance before being shooed away.

Josh the door guy messed up tonight on a Tuesday night!!! Firstly I’m a go go dancer at Vegas 1 oak club and I told him through my manager who to talk to and he said I’d get in no problem! He gave me a hard time and let in only the people he knew!!! Wrong move bro!!! Eventually we got in(me and my girl) and it was whack! In fact people were leaving and no one was inside!!! So why make people wait??? Go to Vegas 1 oak 100% better club and better door people! I’d give this a 0 star! if I could!!! Go to up and down club much better!!!

Do not waste your time going to this place because all the negative reviews are true. I saw the bouncer let in a blond girl and told her brunette friend to stay outside. A party of 5 women who were maybe in their 30s where turned away even though they came with their promoter. This blonde girl was turned away because she wasn’t dolled up in enough. It was disgusting. Two black men were ushered out of the line aggressively by a bouncer before they could even say anything! I saw all this in the space of 45 min. It was so disturbing, I had to ask one bouncer why the racism and discrimination and he just said ‘just policy, no racism here’. I dont blame them though, the real villains are the white men that stand next to the bouncer critiquing your appearance, hair color, eye color to decide whether you get in or not! Yes, 1OAK is a racist, ageist, sexist and overrated establishment. You are better off at the many other great clubs in NYC. I don’t understand why some celebs even go there. The law should start reprimanding clubs like this that discriminate who enters based on race or certain features. If you want a major decrease in your self-esteem then 1OAK is perfect. Again, don’t waste your time, energy and money to go to a classless club. You can do so much better.

Unplanned visit to this club this past Saturday and I was totally unimpressed. The club was tiny in my opinion(Miami clubs kick this one’s ass any day of the week). From the outside I got a feel that it was much bigger inside, this is not the case. It’s laid out in the shape of a horseshoe with the bar in the middle. They have tables set up along the wall. I was shocked when I asked if there were other levels or rooms etc and was told this was it. The bouncers outside did seem a bit douchy but thankfully someone in our party new someone so we waited outside for 5 minutes and did not have to pay to get in. After scanning through other Unilocalers reviews I have to disagree with discrimination or body type casting. I saw every ethnicity, shape and size represented inside the club. There were actually alot more Asians then anyone else and they were the ones doing most of the dancing even to the crappy music. The club was pretty empty on a Saturday night around 1:30am. The music for the most part kinda sucked. The majority of time they played music no one in my party had ever heard before. They would play recognizable songs for about 5 mins and then change it again. It didn’t start getting busy until about 2am. Lebron James and friends showed up around 2:30am but between the bad music and tiny club now very crowded we decided to leave. Please be careful when going to the restroom! You’ll have to go down two flights of stairs! To me this is a total liability for the club. I can see it now a girl wearing heels who’s had one to many tripping and falling down all those stairs… not pretty.

Honestly, I’m a regular of 1oaLA… I do not recommend any other Asians visiting this establishment. The bouncer Richard is racist. I was with my friends from college and he’d only let my white blonde friends in, bc of their skin color. I’ve never encountered this in any of the cities I’ve over visited across the world. Babe, one day you’ll realize what your doing is retrogressive to your own racial battles. I feel sad, very sad when I see this type of shit. Have fun feeling self important in a dead end«job» my dear; you will always be second class like the little shit that you choose to be. Your mother is proud of you

You guys do know that this is just a place where jersey housewives go for a «big night out,» right? I know sometimes places that are dicks about letting you in make you feel like they’re keeping you out of something amazing, but please just trust me that you’ll be spending $ 20 on a vodka soda while watching fat old rich dudes nod their heads on an empty dance floor.

This place was so disgusting I could not stand even waiting in the line! I witnessed the bouncer let in four girls no older than sixteen with VERY obvious fake ID’s, after one girl gave the bouncer a couple hundreds. They then rejected a 30 something very clearly wealthy asian buisnesslady, for being ”too short” as they felt she would have a bad time in the crowd; after this I left the line and went elsewhere. I witnessed underage drinking, drug deals and obvious discrimination in the line that night, it was disgusting. 1OAK is for sixteen year olds with their parents credit cards, and trashy celebrities. This is the trashiest club I have ever been to DONOTGOTHERE.
