GTR Store

Great place, not easy to find. It´s one of the best guitar stores I´ve ever been.
You will feel great inside this shop, highly recomended

I had trouble finding this place, but it’s a real find. It isn’t very well marked on the outside, so I feel like it gets customers primarily through word of mouth.
Very nice exhibit space with lots of very nice guitars to try out. It has a nice homey feeling. Full stage setup as well. I get the feeling that it is mainly for those looking for a guitar on the more expensive side, as opposed to typical stores. Staff is friendly as well.
If you’re a guitar nerd looking to get a quality instrument, I recommend this place.

Best guitar store I’ve been to in NY… hands down, absolutely.
This place can’t be compared to Guitar Center/​Sam Ash so I wont bother… but compared to a place like Rudy’s, Carmine Street, it blows them out of the water. The inventory here is unreal. All of the beautiful, high-​end, hand-​made guitars you see in magazines are here, and available to play.
The sales people here are extraordinarily knowledgable, friendly, and more than happy to geek out with you over the guitars in stock, and do not pressure you to buy that $ 3500 guitar your first time playing it.
TL;DR — Super friendly, knowledgable and low-​pressure sales staff combined with an amazing selection I’ve makes this the best store I’ve seen in NY.
Only caveat — as the guitars here are definitely on the higher-​end of the price spectrum, if you’re looking for a beginner guitar, I’d suggest Guitar Center or Sam Ash.
