High Definition Dance specializes in dance classes for children ages 3 – 18 and adults 18 and over. All of the staff at High Definition Dance are dance professionals who are currently working in the dance industry. Many of our teachers travel from NYC. This provides our students with an outstanding dance education as well as networking opportunities. HDD offers classes for every dancer, at every level. We have classes in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip-​Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acro, Glee, Combo Classes, Competition Classes, All Boys Ballet and Hip-​Hop. We even do birthday parties! HDD also offers Summer Dance Camp which is a 5-​week full day dance program for children ages 5 – 18.

History

Established in 2011.

High Definition Dance was built three years ago. It was designed specifically to be a dance school. We have 3 dance rooms, all with floating floors. We included two large TV screens in the waiting room that show the dance classes at all times. Our goal was to keep our parents happy and involved, as well as to provide a safe place for aspiring dancers to be educated. Coming into our 3^rd annual dancer recital is very exciting for us!

Meet the Business Owner

Amanda A.

Business Owner

Amanda, a dancer/​choreographer/​teacher based in the NYC area, received her B.F.A. in Dance Studies from Long Island University C.W. Post Campus. Amanda is trained in jazz, tap, ballet, modern, pointe, Israeli, African and hip-​hop dance. She has studied with Broadway greats Darlene Wilson, Tom Kosis, and Kathy Flynn Munez. Amanda has also studied and performed in works set by Paul Taylor Dance Company, Pilabolus, Battleworks, Darnetha Lincoln M’Baye. Her NY choreo. credits include «Free to be You and Me», «Anything Goes», «Carousel», «Thoroughly Modern Mille», «Return to the Forbidden Planet», «All Shook Up», and «Grease». She has been teaching students in Rockland and Orange Counties for the past 10 years. She has choreographed for BalaSole Dance Company, Post Concert Dance Company, SUNY Rockland Community College, Long Island University. Amanda’s students here at HDD have competed at various competitions in the Tri-​state area, wining 3^rd place soloist and top overall small group
