Shade, shelter and image solutions with fabric and aluminum awnings. Also providing interior and exterior solar screens and all types of awning and canopy recovers and service work. We are a manufacturer and not just a middle man. Our pricing is fair and our service is good. We are properly insured, provide health insurance for our employees and have been in business for close to 20 years. Although it is a seasonal business we are open all year and have low turnover of management, production crew and install staff.

History

Established in 1999.

We incorporated as an «S» corp after the owner served as an awning apprentice, in all factions of awning work, under the Durasol awning company.

We currently employee about 11 full time people and serve the Hudson Valley area of New York State. Awning FX is properly licensed and insured as well as belonging to many industry trade groups and affiliations.

We make our own goods so we have both a wholesale and retail area of our awning and shade business.

My dad got in this business in the late 70’s just as the european retractable awning was introduced to the American market. I often went to work with him on weekend and off school days and always enjoyed the hard work and craftsmanship involved with this unique business. He was a partner at Durasol awning systems and later Eclipse awning systems. I learned a lot and never looked back since opening Awning FX. FX is just a play on words like «sound FX» or the TV channel «FX». Often folks ask what does it mean? We will affect and/​or effect your outdoor living space by calling us.
