Worst service ever! Guy was being rude and couldn’t even help us when we asked because they were closing. Worst costumer service

I stopped into Auto Zone last week to purchase an ammeter to trace an electrical drain in my Mustang. I always use Advance Auto across the street, but they were out of stock. I figured I’d test the waters at this fairly new Auto Zone.
After buying the ammeter, I stopped in a few more times for odds and ends parts. Each time I walked in, an employee at the register would almost immediately ask if they could help with anything. That is old-​school customer service.
When I was buying the ammeter, the employee at the counter asked what I was trying to test. I explained that I had a battery drain that was killing my new battery every night. Not only did he remind me that Auto Zone offers free battery and alternator testing if I needed it, but he also spent around 10 minutes talking to me about the problem — offering suggestions of how to troubleshoot the drain and he even printed some circuitry information off his computer for me to use as a reference.
The price of the ammeter was right on par with what Advance Auto was charging, had they been in stock. I’m not sure if it was just this one employee or if it’s all of them, but he went out of his way to help with my project and seemed pretty knowledgeable on car repairs.

When I review a location I try to be objective yet fair. This is a brand new location that opened up a few weeks ago and I was excited yet wondered why the parking lot was always empty.
I needed some wiper blades and a few other miscellaneous items for my vehicle. Considering Advanced Auto is literally right across the road I did what any other smart consumer would do and that’s do a price comparison. A set of Bosch Icon wiper blades were selling for about $ 23 a piece in this store while across the road the same blade sold for about $ 3 less. That’s not a small price difference especially when I needed several items.
Based on price alone I’d love to give this place a zero BUT being objective and fair the place is pretty big, neat and supplies plentiful (probably cause they are so expensive). I purchased some candy for my young daughter who just had to have candy and we made our way across the road to the cheaper store. I had never compared pricing before but boy was this visit an eye opener. I would probably buy something here if I really needed it and nobody else had it but I would not shop here on a regular basis.
In all fairness it’s a nice store but just too pricey.
