History

Established in 1955.

One of the first Motorcycle Dealers in Mount Vernon in the 1950’s.Then to the Bronx… And now New Rochelle since 1980. We are a Full Yamaha Dealer. We also repair all makes and models. We are Westchester’s first URAL Dealer. Wheel Sport Center is a Leader in the Powersports Industry.

All our staff is factory trained. All staff either ride, own or repair their motorcycles at our dealership.

Frank Russo Jr. started Wheelsport Center back in the late 1950’s in Mount Vernon, NY. Back then the business was called Motorcycles Unlimited. We’re a family owned business that went exclusive YAMAHA about 45 years ago. Our first franchise was BSA motorcycles, and we also had Vespa, Norton, Moto Guzzi, BMW, Rickman, and Triumph. Through the years we kept YAMAHA.

Can’t comment on their sales people as I only have experience with their service department, having my waverunner serviced here at the end of last season. I liked what I received, they did a very clean job and the service manager (can’t recall his name) was a pleasant, straight forward guy. They helped me with getting in and out with the trailer as well. I would come back again.

I bought my bike at Wheelsport Center and I am completely satisfied with the staff. The bike was a great buy as other dealers in the area I looked at could not compete with the price or service I received. I was made to feel as a valued customer. The service department is tip-​top. I had my bike in for an oil change and added accessories that were installed on my bike and I service was quick and priced reasonably. Thanks Frank… recommend your store to all my friends.

Just a note regarding this dealer’s advice that I get a valve adjustment on my ’05 FJR at 20,000 miles. When I questioned whether the owner’s manual indicated that that was the correct mileage to have the adjustment done, the person in the service department said «YES, 20,000 miles». Turns out, the manual says 26,600 miles. When I called, the managers said, «Well, sometimes the service people are a bit aggressive».
