Fast service, delicious/tasty food, and good prices! I recommend this restaurant! On the street parking takes quarters only, so have them ready when your parking spot opens up! This corner spot was great! I had chicken enchiladas that came with rice and beans! My son ordered steak quesadillas. We both loved our food! The staff was very attentive and very quick! The family of 3 sitting next to us ordered a shrimp dinner, and my son and I vowed to try it next time because it looked super delicious! As Arnold says, «we’ll be back!»

If you want Legit Mexican food come HERE! Taste of Mexico waiters are so attentive small place but totally worth it! Food comes out warm never cold. The only reason I give it a 4 star is the bathroom part. It’s so awkward you have to go through the kitchen and you can’t tell the cooks get upset. I mean I’m a germaphobic and I have to wash my hands and also I feel for those that need to use it as well.

The quesadilla is amazing. I always order the number 2 lunch special with rice and plantains. It’s authentic Mexican food NOT Mexican American. The food is fresh and not from a package. My only complaint is that it is a little pricy, they only accept cash and the delivery is very slow. But the food is outstanding

Stopped by with a friend for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast burritos with eggs and chorizo. It came with three and I initially felt two were more than enough but shortly I devoured all three along with anything else that came with it. The dish was exceptional! The service was above average but unfortunately it is a cash only establishment, so come prepared.

I bought $ 50 worth of food for delivery… my food came cold nachos were soggy no untensils or napkins were provided. I was missing things from my order… I was better off cooking. Never Again!!!

This is a nice quaint and sunny family restaurant in the heart of new Rochelle. The Owners, husband and wife always give that friendly warm welcoming, their energy is beautiful. Their display of Aguas frescas(homemade juices) right on their stoop are all you need on a summer day! If I start going into detail about their scrumptious Authentic dishes I can just imagine myself forgetting about this review and walking myself over but I think I am anyway later on today. This is a small place but their atmosphere is pure comfort. The friendly servers don’t bother you, it’s a great place for a long chat with an old friend. I don’t think they have a liquor license but they do have a good choice list of Mexican beers.

Not as goods as it use to be. This place use to be very good. Sadness. Coffee was good, fresh juice was good, salsa fresca tasted like sugar was added. Meat didn’t taste fresh. Staff was friendly.

Cozy, authentic family place with personable service. I had lunch on a weekday and saw lots of local business people enjoying a quick meal on lunch hour. Servers chat with the regulars and make newcomers as myself feel welcome. The horchata was great and the soft chicken tacos with guac were fresh, hot, and tasty. I took the tres leches cake to go. I look forward to going back soon.

One of the first Mexican restaurants that I’ve gone to since moving to New Rochelle a decade ago. It’s one of two places I generally go for Mexican. This place is generally fast and still pretty inexpensive, though the prices have gone up a little since they renovated the inside a while back.

Every time I come here, I am happy with my choice. The ingredients always seem fresh and are prepared with a special trademark flavor I have only found at The Mexican Corner Restaurant. They are consistent in quality and preparation, which is a very good thing. There’s nothing better than looking forward to a meal and having what you are expecting be delivered every time. Food presentation is ok, but the quality more than makes up for an average appearance. Not to say average is a bad thing, because I would rather have food that tastes good, especially considering that this is not an expensive restaurant. For the quality and portions, the prices are very reasonable. A great value for sure. I highly recommend the enchiladas. Enjoy!

This was the first place I tried when I moved to New Rochelle, it looked like a good«neighborhood» spot, and that is what it is. Comfortable and low-key atmosphere, friendly staff and owner, good food and prices. I’ve eaten twice off the«specials» menu, and left full and satisfied both times.

Nothing more awesome than trying out that neighborhood spot that’s been right under your nose and it impresses you thoroughly. Tried the Chuletas last night and the Tres Leche. The Chuletas were really juicy and well seasoned, just cooked perfectly. The Tres Leche was delicious the portions were way more generous than expected. I’ll definitely be back!

This is a great mom and pop run shop that serves up great food. if you ask for your food to be spicy, they will make it spicy, unlike many other restaurants. The freshly made juices are great, but i am a bit doubtful on the way they store them… they keep them in large plastic containers outside the store on top of ice. When they’re ready to be served, someone uses a «punch serving spoon» and scoops it in to a cup… the mango juice has real chunks of mango in it… yum. Another thing to keep in mind is that a meal for two including non alcoholic beverages cost less than 25 bucks including a 20% tip. I can walk in to this place in basketball shorts and not care… it’s that type of place. Oh… no credit cards but there is a chase bank across the street.

I really like this place. Sure the seats could stand to be reupholstered, and the smoke from the kitchen gets into your hair.. . but so what? If you’re that uppity go somewhere that keeps a spare«sports coat» on hand in case you didn’t get a chance to pick your dinner jacket up from the dry cleaners. Ok, the food is good and the wait staff is as friendly as they can be(for English being their second language) but I don’t mind, I’m no elitist. The portions are spot on for a grown man’s appetite. By the time you shovel that last fork full into your gaping mouth you’re completely full.. . and if you’re like me(hate seeing food go to waste, and hate putting a stinky doggy bag in your car) you’ll leave feeling satisfy on two levels. One because you ate, so now you’re full and you’re happy.. . and two, nothing went to waste. The food is always fresh, colorful, and flavorful. So give it a chance. The owner is usually bussing tables and is both nice and friendly. You’ll feel good spending your money here.

My days in the Mexican Corner Restaurant began during a walk returning to my car after an appointment in new rochelle. during the summer time they provide Frescos outside of restaurant. Kudos to them selling hibiscus juice out on a NYC street. Next time my wife and I want went was to indulge in a hearty lunch of Menudo Soup, Chiliquilas(sp?), tacos lenguas, guacamole and some plantanos with cream. Coming here is a treat since food like this is a rare discovery in nassau county. the Menudo soup, Beef tripe in a tomato-based broth was cooked exactly the way tripe should be treated. Properly washed and then cooked gently, the tripe offered to us its wonderful flavor without pungent flavor of organ meat and minerals. I’ve had many bad tripe dishes while eating out, MANY. a Few cooked at home. this was the first restaraunt I’ve been to that prepares the dish how it should be. We asked for a second order. Breakfast Chiliquilas, spelling probably incorrect, a large platter of three over easy eggs, grilled steak(request med-rare or their steak becomes touch), beans, rice, avocado, and your choice of red or green tomatillo sauce is a show stopper. paired with the tongue tacos and menudo we didnt want to eat anything else throughout the day after this one. will most certainly be back for our umpteenth visit
