I have had my car repaired at Pro Tech Benz several times over the past 2 years and I am very happy with the results. They offer excellent service and are extremely knowable about Mercedes vehicles. Their pricing is very reasonable and they are very straightforward about the repairs. Unlike the dealers they don’t try and up sell you on additional repairs that might not be needed. I would highly recommend them to Mercedes owners.

I own a 2010 GL 350 Blutec and have always serviced it at the Mercedes Dealership in New Rochelle. I was extremely annoyed and disappointed in every way, so I decided to look for a repair shop that worked primarily on Mercedes vehicles, and then I came across Protech Benz. I received a cheaper quote from another shop, but ProT specialized in Mercs, so I thought it would be best to go to them. I usually send my vehicles out to Heavy Metal Autobody in Brooklyn where they do great repairs for affordable prices, but its so far away. Its kind of a nerve wrecking experience because you have no idea what they will do with your car when they get it. I basically had to have my brakes pads and rotors replaced. Though that seems like a small job, I’ve had so many shops and dealerships mess them on my MB vehicles. I took my ML500 to a Mavis Discount Tire to save some money and I had squeaky breaks for a year and half till I replaced them again at the dealership. And I didn’t want to have that issue with my GL, so I wanted someone who specialized in Mercedes and would use OEM parts.
The Initial Call
I called ProTech and then I spoke to Quintin and he seemed very friendly and professional. He called in to MB to see how much the parts would cost and called me back with an estimate. Usually I get a loaner from the dealership when I drop off my vehicle, but that’s not an option with most repair shops. He told me he would be more than happy to drop me off at the train station if I needed, and I found that comforting because its about 3 miles from the Pelham train station. So I made the appointment to schedule the brake replacement.
The First Visit/​Drop Off For Repair
I made it over to the shop, and it can be a little tricky to find, because there is a gas station/​repair shop in front, and his entrance is on the right hand side in the rear when you face the shop. Its a little hidden, but you will see a bunch of Mercedes vehicles sitting back there. Rang the bell and the garage door opened up in to his shop. Seemed like a 2 man operation. Its small, seems well equipped, and one of the most important things to me is that it seemed very neat and clean. It makes a difference to me, because any dirt in the shop usually makes its way in to your vehicle from technician uniforms and dust from them leaving windows opened. I dropped it off in the evening, he called in the parts to be delivered the next day and told me it would be done by the end of the next day.
Pick Up After Repair
As promised he called me around 3pm the next day to tell me the vehicle was ready. When I arrived, his bill was pretty close to what we discussed in his estimate, off by maybe $ 6. I was a little thrown off by the tax, because I thought it was included, but that’s a mistake on my end for not asking. He showed me the car, it was a pretty clean, just as I had given it to them. He showed me the new OEM rotors and brakes, and everything seemed to be in order. I paid him with a credit card and left.
First Hours Drive After Pick Up
Everything seemed to be working fine and I didn’t hear any brake squeal on my ride back to my place. I felt as though brakes would go down close to the floor, so I pumped my brakes a little bit and the problem was fixed. Its been 2 days and everything seems to be in order. If I have any issues, I will definitely update my review later.
My Thoughts
I hope this will be a long term relationship I have with ProTech. Ive noticed that as time goes on, businesses become successful or earn your loyalty and they jack up prices or the level of service goes down. I hope that does not happen as times go on and they give the same level of service and appreciate my patronage in the long term by not charging me an arm and a leg. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends that drive Mercedes vehicles and I recommend them to you. His bill says that they will provide a 12 month/​12 000 mile warranty of the work done and parts. If anything goes wrong, I hope he will honor that.

I been coming to pro tech for about 3 years now. Quintin is an honest owner. He always take care of me and my E350. All my maintenance are done with him and any type of problems that i think my car has i just call him and always acomodate me right away. His prices are very resonable and a lot less then the dealership, but you get still get the same service as the dilership if not better. Thank you Quintin again fir taking care of us and you are my go to guy for all my mercedes benz needs. I do recomend him 100%.
