Mobile Vet Squad

Last week was the first time I used Mobile Vet Squad, and I wanted to let others know what a wonderful experience I had and what a fine vet I think Dr. Goldstein is.
My 19 year old cat will fiercely/​viciously attack any vet who tries to touch her and they usually don protective gloves for her visits, and even then are unable to handle her enough for a full exam. Amazingly, with Dr. Goldstein, no protective gloves were needed. I have never heard anyone talk as sweetly and lovingly to my cat as he did. While that in itself wasn’t enough to soothe her 100%, he was able to expertly wrap her in a blanket, put her in a carrier, and bring her a very short distance to the mobile office parked outside, all with no fuss. Once in the well-​equipped van, he used a pheromone spray on a towel to calm her without sedatives — I never knew this stuff existed! He gave her a full physical, and was even able to look in her mouth and draw a blood sample — a feat no other vet has been able to accomplish in years!
I was very pleased with my interactions with both Dr. Goldstein and his technician. He spent time to both listen to my concerns and discuss my cat’s health fully. He called me with the results of the blood tests as soon as they came back and also stopped by my house on a Saturday to pick up the cat’s urine sample. Am I dreaming?
I am so grateful to have found this solution to my kitty crisis. I initially called the Mobile Vet squad because my normal vet’s office was closed on a Wednesday for «grooming», but after this visit, I consider Dr. Goldstein our regular vet. The cost may be a bit higher than a standard in-​office visit (? I’m not even sure about that), but nothing prohibitive. The Mobile Vet comes by appointment, but they were able to squeeze me in the same day. 5 stars!

I can’t rave enough about Dr. Goldstein and Mobile Vet Squad. We have a 14 year old Westie (Malcolm) who doesn’t travel well anymore and to have Dr. Goldstein come right to our front door is a godsend. The truck/​mobile hospital is very clean and is fully equipped, just like a brick and mortar vet hospital. It’s also air conditioned so we didn’t have to worry about the current heat wave making things unbearable in the truck. I noticed that there is also an operating section of the truck as well. Both the Doctor and his tech were very caring with Malcolm, keeping him very calm thru his exam (which was VERY thorough and not rushed as I’ve experience with previous vets) and his blood draw. I also appreciated the fact that Dr. Goldstein explained thoroughly Malcolm’s diagnosis, our various treatment options (and I have to note that there was no pressure at all to choose the «expensive» route which I found QUITE refreshing) and followed-​up with us to see how Malcolm was doing. If you’re looking for a great Vet who cares for his patients (not to mention makes HOUSE CALLS!) Dr. Goldstein and Mobil Vet Squad is the choice for you.
