Nomad Moving Company

Andrew and Will were fast, efficient, careful, and really great guys. Don’t overlook this company even if you don’t live in NPR. I live in downtown St. Pete, and even with a service fee to cover their round-​trip drive to my location, their price was still below estimates that I’d received from local moving companies.

Nomad Movers and William and Mike were stellar examples of how to treat a customer. They made what is normally a stressful day into a bearable almost fun experience. They worked fast and furious. No breaks other than a water break and they were quick and thorough. All furniture was wrapped and handled with care. If you are lucky enough to get William and he says to «trust him» just do it. I have used Nomad twice now and each time I’m so impressed by the wonderful service! They are courteous, professional and a pleasure to work with. The first time we used them was in May and we were merging two households into an apartment on the third floor, with no elevator… Bryan and Gordon were extremely helpful and did a wonderful job moving all that heavy furniture up 3 flights of stairs. That move could have been a nightmare, but thanks to Nomad it was very manageable. They certainly exceeded all my expectations and went above and beyond to help set up the furniture.
The second time was this week when I needed to get a 400 lbs piece of furniture up the 3 flights of stairs. I knew exactly who to call to ensure it made it up there safely. They were on time, fast and efficient. They even unpacked it and discarded the packaging for me.

There can be nothing more stressful than moving — well, maybe getting married, but it is in the top ten most stressful events that can occur in a person’s life. Being a military family, this has been my 23^rd move. It never gets easier, but this will be my last one since my husband is now retired from the Marine Corps. We purchased a home and began the arduous task of interviewing local movers. We interviewed about 5 different companies in the Tampa area looking for the best quality people as well as competitive pricing. For over 5 weeks — we took our time and really interviewed each and every company with much diligence especially since we were paying for this move – not the military. We have seen everything with movers — good and bad. We did not want a bad experience.
If you are looking for hardworking movers that take their jobs seriously — look no further! We actually had to ask these guys to rest so they did not overheat with the high temperatures outside. There were no hidden fees, no charges for mileages and hidden destination fees. The owner of the company is the «real deal». This is a family business that is run with professionalism and high ethics. They worked two full days and respected our property as if it were their own. Something I think consumers should provide that they usually don’t is — consider buying these men lunch and Gatorade. Or have ice cold water readily available. Movers are going to work harder for your family if you provide them food and drinks. Whenever we stopped to eat — we made sure they ate too. I think they really appreciated us taking care of them. Nomad would treat your possessions with the highest regard whether you fed them or not — I was just making a point that consumers should consider taking care of the people moving your precious items. I have nothing negative to say about Nomad. They never used their cell phones, took a smoke break or wasted any time.
Nomad Movers will be the best bang for your buck. They were the most reasonably priced of all the movers in Tampa as well as the most professional we have ever dealt with — after 23 moves I can say this with complete confidence.
