Description

Specialties

Firehouse Subs serves sub sandwiches for lunch and dinner with oversized portions of premium hand-sliced meats and cheeses, steamed to make the flavors burst, then piled high with fresh produce atop a toasted sub roll. The restaurants reflect the authentic firefighter heritage of the founding family’s 200 years of firefighting service.

Some of our Specialty Subs:

Hook & Ladder® — Smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham, and melted Monterey Jack cheese, served Fully Involved.

Firehouse Meatball® — Italian meatballs, melted provolone, zesty marinara, and Italian seasonings.

New York Steamer® — Corned beef brisket, pastrami, melted provolone, mustard, mayo, and Italian dressing.

Italian™ — Genoa salami, pepperoni, ham, melted provolone, Italian dressing and seasonings, served Fully Involved.

Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket™ — USDA choice beef brisket smoked for 16 hours, melted cheddar, and special sauces.

History

Established in 1994.

Growing up in a family that is both entrepreneurial and built on more than 200 years of firefighting heritage, it seems we were destined to start Firehouse Subs. Of course we tried other things along the way to our American dream, but everything we experienced on our path led us to Firehouse Subs.

Nearly 20 years after opening the first restaurant, with nearly 600 Firehouse Subs restaurants, we’re convinced we’re doing a few things right. Turns out, people absolutely love the same things we do — the best meats, cheeses, and toppings we can find.

People come back again and again to Firehouse Subs because, unlike other sub places, we steam our premium hand-sliced meats and cheeses, releasing a rush of flavors, then stuff a serving that’s way over code on one of our toasted private recipe sub rolls. It’s a winning combination that satisfies ravenous appetites and the value conscious alike.

As they say in the fire station, let’s eat!

Meet the Business Owner

Mike R.

Business Owner

I served two years Active Duty in the Army and left the Army with an honorable discharge and certified as an Executive Chef. I then worked on International Drive in Orlando as an Executive Chef. I received a two year certificate in Electronic Technology and a Degree in Computer and Information Science. I then spent the next several years in various positions in Satellite and Data communications. I retired from Hughes Network Systems in 2004. I then worked as a contractor for the DoD, spending time in Iraq teaching and supporting data communications equipment. I came back to the USA and managed a Customer Support Center for the DoD’s logistics program. I retired from that position in 2014 and acquired ownership of the New Port Richey Firehouse Subs in October of 2014. I enjoy operating such a great franchise and look forward to opening more Firehouse Subs to service the needs of the community.
