The place is decent. It is a typical laundromat with older machines that work most of the time. If a machine is broken, then the attendent will usually credit your money back plus an extra quarter or two.

Came here today to wash large couch pillows since they won’t fit in my washer at home… Obviously I had to get change and the woman seemed very unhappy to do her job I’d give her a zero for customer service but as for the facility it had many washers and dryers… I did stop at the laundromat on 54 and Madison which I will go to next time I don’t mind waiting for a washer there the woman working was very nice and helpful…

I was put in the unfortunate position of having to go to a laundromat recently. My washing machine dropped dead. Now, I am no stranger to laundromats having grown up in New York City. I know how to operate a coin operated machine. However these machines are OLD. I don’t mean like, Kenmore circa 2000 catalog old. I mean OLD. Like, rust in the drums kind of old. The place smells a little like stagnant water… but it’s not entirely disgusting in there. Plenty of places to sit and wait… and wait… and wait. The problem I had is that my machine had to do TWO full cycles of drying in order to get ONE load dry. It’s not a «dirty» place, per se. It’s just… a laundromat. Nothing that stands out. But nothing overtly wrong with it either. It was close, ergo convenient. There was an incident(that did not involve me) where apparently, someone left their laundry unattended and it ended up leaving the building without its owners consent. Of course, this is not the fault of the attendant. They don’t get paid to babysit your laundry and the lady was very kind and sat patiently while this Pasco Princess(six teeth, visible tattoo’s, belly hanging over a pair of pants she obviously bought in baby gap, one kid on each hip) proceeded to curse her out in whatever combinations of monosyllabic words she could think of, as a cigarette dangled from her mouth. Classy. But, I do give major kudos to this attendant for not scissor kicking this woman in her solar plexus. So, while its not a terrible place to do your laundry(it is very clean), it’s not a place I am looking forward to visiting again. But, if you have to use a laundromat because you don’t have a washer and dryer in your home, its just as good a place as any. Just don’t leave your laundry unattended. And, bring a cross, some garlic, sage and holy water. You may find yourself having to perform an exorcism on some of the patrons.
