My family and I have bought gas at this station for years and although slightly high, the service and friendliness of the employees is wonderful. Always a smile and a hello. Brake tag service moves quickly. When my wife or daughters come after dark the cashier «keeps a watch out for them».

This place commits highway robbery– I always knew they were higher with their gas prices than anyone around — but I went in for a simple tire plug the other day which anywhere else will cost you $ 5-​$ 10 at the most. The mechanic sent me inside to pay while he started on my tire. When the cashier told me the total I almost fainted– $ 27 for a tire plug. The mechanic already started otherwise I would have taken my car somewhere else. I’m all about people making money but this was ridiculous and I feel totally taken advantage of. I have left several messages for the owner to tell him how I feel and have not received a call back. I will NEVER patronize this gas station again. I refuse to support places that take advantage of people.

The BEST spot for renewing your Louisiana break tag! Their process is friendly, quick, and personable. Due to neighborhood popularity, there might be a line that snakes-​out onto Claiborne Avenue, but for the service, it is well worth the wait!

I’ve always really liked this place when I was living on Calhoun. The mechanics are friendly and nice, and one of them even changed my flat into my spare for free when he didn’t have the new tire I wanted. Well I went back to him a few days later when the tire came in and gladly paid him for his services.
A few years later I gave the car to my mom and after a couple months she says the car seems to be running a little weird. She takes it to a trusted shop back home and this is what they found.
If you can’t tell, one of the spokes has been sliced off, and the tire can no longer be mounted properly. I was never told about this, and it was hidden with the new mounted tire.
Not only is this shady as hell, it’s fucking endangering the driver. I unfortunately don’t have the invoice for this /​live in New Orleans anymore so I can’t take these guys to court, but if you need work done on your car, take it elsewhere.

So I don’t usually get gas here because it’s pricey… but that’s uptown where gas stations are scarce. It does have a mechanic and a car wash. And this location often lets various clubs use it’s space for fund raiser car washes… or at least it used to. Maybe that’s passé now…
Anyway, 4th star for the lady who issued my brake tag yesterday. She was courteous, funny, efficient and charming. You heard me charming. I had all my paperwork and my cash and I knew I would owe them extra money for being a couple of months later getting my tag. Be prepared and it’s a breeze! In and out in 10 minutes with waiting for the car ahead of me…

My neighborhood gas station with high priced gas BUT good honest excellent service that makes up for gas pricing. And, they’re close to home. They do all types of repairs, sell tires and this is where I easily get brake tags for my cars. GO THERE.

They don’t charge you extra for purchasing gas with a credit card, which sadly alone is enough to entitle them to 5 stars these days. So what if they charge more per gallon than less conveniently located stations?

This is a standard gas station — no frills. I’ve never used their mechanic services. If you’re going to use your Winn Dixie discount card, slide the big card (not the one that goes on your key chain) in first, then your credit card. easy in and out. I’ve never had to wait for a pump station here.

It’s a Shell with higher than should be priced gas BUT they’ll also plug a tire in minutes for like 20 bucks AND you can get your brake tag here.
Conveniently located, full garage, convenience store — no lottery though — and deisel too. Yeah University Shell!

I stopped in yesterday to get a brake tag. One of my lights was out, so they said I needed to come back and get it fixed. The guy in charge seemed pretty reluctant to order the part and wouldn’t tell me what their hours were. They replaced the light pretty quickly, 30 minutes, but labor was $ 90. I will not go back.

I came to this gas station to get an oil change. Who knew it would cost me around $ 46 for an oil change? I didn’t have time to go elsewhere, so I bit the bullet. The only upside about the oil change was that it only took about 20 minutes. The guy who worked on my car was less than enthusiastic to be doing any work. It took a couple of minutes for someone to help me. Once my car was finished, he went back to playing on his phone while I stood there and waited for him to see me. Don’t think I would ever get an oil change here again.
