I really liked this place. It’s very unique and has a very welcoming atmosphere. They were having a drag show the night that we visited which was very entertaining and all the participants were very kind and talented. The only downfall to this place was the drinks that we ordered were horrible. They had chunks of stuff (lemon and cucumber) floating through it that would get stuck in the straw that I feel should have been strained out. I would still return here, but I’d stick with a soda next time!

I stopped here because I was staying nearby. If you are up for a good show and great drinks then you should try this bar. I was not sure what to expect but I was happy to have a drink and listen to great music — Cora Leigh! Check it out. Very welcoming to all who stop in.

Nice little bar in a not so nice area featuring a burlesque show on their little stage in the back. Very clean and nice place to drink with friends but nothing that makes you want to really go there unless you live in the neighborhood but if you do this can be your canteen of choice.

From the outside, it doesn’t look too hot — the heavily tinted windows obscure what you assume to be a sketchy bar. My friends and I came here on a whim and sat outside for a solid 5 minutes debating if we would die by knife/​gun/​shank/​etc. Once inside, we all burst out laughing because it’s actually quite welcoming. It’s got a long bar, a few tables, and a tiny stage for shows. The bartender, Timm, was super friendly, and made us a bunch of his custom cocktails. It was happy hour (4−8pm, 50 cents off everything) when we went but wasn’t very busy. My gut says if you are in midcity and you like good friends, you will probably like this place too.
