Found it online after feeling like i wasted my time the day before at amusing bikes on magazine st.
I knew what i wanted and i called beforehand to check if they had it. They let me know it would be a while to get the job done because there were people before me in the line for repairs, but that i was welcome to buy the parts and install them myself in their shop, so i wouldnt have to leave my bike over the weekend.
I went, i bought bike break pads for 7 $, and fixed it with a young man who was hanging out looking to do something but didnt know much. We discovered how to change break pads together, and i (and maybe him too?) felt super empowered afterwards. It was great.
I also bought a kryptonite style thick wire for locking up the bike from them too, just didnt have any typical hardware locks for sale. (Prob. Because people use u-​locks instead of cheap easily cut metal lcoks) its a cheap bike, i dont need a lock thats more expensive than the bike.
All the money from sales goes back into the business which helps young adults do something cool with their time, enter the work market, and get empowered, maybe even develop a passion for bikes, which are awesome. Ill give them my money gladly.

Brought a bike from eBay and wanted to have someone that would know if anything was missing/​broken/​it just should be replaced.
Service was quick and friendly, prices were more then reasonable, they had everything I needed to ride away. Also they often have really inexpensive used bikes for sale.
