I’d suggest the previous reviewer come back. This property is now updated — there were two units being worked on while we were there May 22 – 29, 2015. We were greeted by George who gave us some great points about things to do in the area that were helpful to me, even though I’ve been to NO many times. It’s a great spot just outside the French Quarter and very close to Frenchman Street, where there is a lot going on. It’s still walkable to all the sights in the Quarter, and close to the Riverfront Streetcar that we used several times. We had a week long stay in beautiful two bedroom unit on the third floor that’s spacious and clean; nice wood floors, fresh paint and in great shape. Large kitchen(everything works) huge living/dining room, one king bedroom and one queen — both have new carpet and one had a balcony. The bathroom is a bit small, but clean — as were the towels. The only thing I’d change is the sofa bed, which doesn’t work well — and some of the living room furniture is a bit worn. As far as maid service and garbage, this is a time share so more like an apartment than a hotel. I’m used to having to take my garbage out and we even did a couple loads of laundry as needed in the brand new washer/dryer. True, there is minimal staff, but when I needed George I was usually able to reach him by phone, although not always as quickly as I would have liked. That being said, it really felt like we had our own apartment for the week and I really enjoyed that. The courtyard area is a great place to congregate, sit and read or have a smoke. Great property that I would absolutely stay in again.

We just returned from a week at the Courtyards, as a timeshare exchange via RCI. George allowed us to check in upon our arrival despite being 30 minutes early. He gave us a quick parking tutorial which allowed us to save $ 150 in parking fees. The two bedroom unit was beautiful, wood floors in common areas, two balconies, well srocked with paper goods and linens. Everything worked well… we used the washer and dryer downstairs. Our room was on the third floor facing Royal Street which required us to scale two flights of stairs. While we did not mind as we walk all the time, it would not be easy for a person who is not in shape. We will return to the Courtyards contingent upon time and availability.
